Hello,
I would like to know if one of you installed a ROM without gapps but with microG. I tried to install it on LineageOS ROM with the unofficial installer but I got issue with location and fake store. Here are the step I did :
- I flashed TWRP ;
- I flashed LOS zip ;
- I flashed the unofficial installer of microG ;
- I did a basic wipe (the one when you clic on "Wipe" button and then swipe) ;
- I reboot, I installed the different APKs ;
I could not use location and fake store had issues. I'm root with the magisk's method.
Did I miss something ? Did I do something wrong ?
If you install microG successfully, how did you do ?
Thank you a lot
(I tried to speak my best english, sorry if I did language mistake)

LineageOS doesn't support microg, you must flash a rom with signature spoofing support.

HELLO GUYS...
This ROM is a port from the Oppo R7Plusm (Chinese variant) for the OppoR7Plusf (International variant). This means that there wont be any Google Applications pre-installed (No Google Play Store). Download the Tools-apk + ROM + Gapps-apk.zip and this will have everything you need. *Most of this ROM is in Chinese even if you select ENGLISH at setup, if there are any pop up boxes press the highlighted button*
INSTALL METHOD - ROM
1. Download the: Tools-apk + ROM + Gapps-apk.zip and extract to Desktop
2. Move all files to external SD-Card
3. Boot to TWRP recovery and Backup your device (remember to select all partitions)
4. Wipe partitions (DATA, SYSTEM, CACHE, DALVIK/ART CACHE)
5. Flash the ROM file (this is the included zip file)
6. Reboot device and setup.
*NOTE* There are VERY Limited languages
INSTALL - TOOLS.APK *This is used for root*
1. Open files and install the Tools.apk
2. Open application and go to COMMON tab and select ROOT *it will want to install an app, select highlighted button*
3. Select Root again and then when prompted, OneKeyRoot *your device will now reboot and when you unlock your device you will have the SuperSu app installed*
INSTALL - GAPPS.APK *This is used to get Google Play Store and Google Services*
1. Open files and install the OpenGapps.apk
2. Open app and go through start-up and allow Root access
3. Download the version of Gapps for the rom (Android 5.1 - Arm64)
4. In the app go to the settings and enable "Use Root Permission"
5. On the main page select install of the Gapps package. *Your phone will now reboot and once unlocked you will have the Google Play Store and various other Google Services*

15/01/17: Well would you look at that. We all survived the New Year. I am discontinuing the Porting of this ROM. I have sold my old phone and am unable to test the new ports. HAVE A GOOD YEAR, hope the development for this devices gains momentum.
21/06/17: HMM. Seems as if selling my old phone was a bit of a mistake, aye? This phone now has Official Resurrection Remix rom support and Official LineageOS rom support. Wonder is anyone is interested in this ROM still ?
is there an improved english in this version ? i tried one 6 months ago and the translations were horrid. But Awesome work !

The English translations are very good. Only downside is the Chinese only text in prompts and stock apps.
Can this be used on Oppo R7sf devices?

Yes, I found this.

Just follow the instructions as above.
I tried it on mine and it worked, a little too much bloat for my liking and way more in Chinese than English. Getting gapps to work even though I installed them was a pain. Then again I installed my gapps as zip, maybe the apk method works better?
Feel free to give it a whirl.

The rom is for r7plus m?
Hello everyone.
First of all, please take into account that English is not my native language, but I will do my best.
Yesterday, I wanted to install Lineage Os (v16.0-20200122) on my oneplus 7 pro. I had no problem accessing the bootloader, then TWRP (vt3.3.1-4). I then installed and configured Lineage Os on my phone, at that time the Wifi works properly.
Then comes the step of installing Magisk (v20.3 zip file) via twrp, the installation is done correctly, but from that moment, the wifi no longer works. When I activate it, it deactivates immediately.
Here's what I tried:
- Several versions of Lineage OS
- Several versions of TWRP
- Install TWRP before any operation
- To search the internet for similar cases, (I found this one on this forum) but I either did not understand, or it didn't work for me.
I'm a bit lost because I bought this phone for compatibility with Lineage Os and this problem completely blocks me
I'm not responsible for any damage to your device of any sort.
By flashing this you take responsibility of anything that happens.
Process at your own risk!
If you want to check firmware - please make backup. Better to store all partitions, at least efs and may be modem.
I'm using nano/pico gapps.
Instructions
1. Install custom recovery
2. Download the zip(s) - firmware and Google Apps additional package (optional)
3. Backup all partitions (it least efs) and store somewhere - it need to do - because you can loose imei
4. Full wipe all
5. Flash firmware and gapps
Work
Almost all

Thank you for this build.
Does anybody else have the problem that picture-in-picture mode is not working?
I'm watching a video with the German sky go app. Pressing the home button takes me to home screen and does not show the video in the small window.
This was working with the Android 9 build.
The permissions are set for the app.
Thank you for this version.
Warning: I initially tried with GApps Stock (like I did with 16.0) and it totally messed up the system (Pixel Launcher crashed constantly, attempting to log in to Google account resulted in a black screen). Now, with Pico, it seems to work alright.

T520 is not just T525 without LTE. T320, T325 and T525 have Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC's inside, so most of the codebase can be shared between them. T520 has Exynos which is quite different.

No, you won't. Data and Internal Storage will stay intact. This is the procedure I follow when I update from one version of e.g. 17.1 to newer one. Only when upgrading to a new major version do I fully wipe the device.
If you're unsure, backup your stuff with "ROM Settings Backup" and "Titanium Backup" before wiping anything.
THX Great worked ok.
BUT still no sound!
How to check if there is maybe a hardware problem?
I'm going to install this Rom (thanks to developer) , is the sound problem real?

Don't know that launcher (mine Nova Prime) but did you test turning of animations in dev settings?
I've unlocked bootloaders, installed Magisk and installed plenty of custom ROMs on different phones,
but this Poco X3 NFC has been just a bit 'annoying' from the beginning (ie. I had to try many different ways * before ability to 'register' for unlocking the bootloader, and then had to wait 7-days to actually do that )
Now, I just want to know how to get Magisk working ?
Currently I'm on MiUI ROM (but I will install AICP or CrDroid, in a few days),
and trying to install Magisk on this now.
I've got TWRP installed but Magisk doesn't have flashable .ZIPs,
because Magisk has moved to the .APK manager now.
So, in Magisk Manager, it asks me to patch a file, but which file would this be ?
How to get Magisk v23 installed on this Android 11-based MiUI ROM ?
Thanks.
*
I had to:
- register a Xiaomi account (this must be logged on the phone)
- put in a SIM card, with data activated (this must be enabled, to get the Xiaomi account working)
- send a SMS, to verify the number (Xiaomi checks/logs/records multiple levels of my identity)
- download a Xiaomi tool to unlock the bootloader (Xiaomi's tool did not work & I had to find one, from Github (and XDA) )
I have unlocked bootloaders on Samsung, Motorola, Oneplus, Asus … and Xiaomi is the most annoying, intrusive and cumbersome unlocking.

You just have to rename magisk.apk to magisk.zip and flash it via TWRP without wiping cache
Moreover, latest TWRP build from brigudav can do it for you -- look at "Advanced" options...

Very good.
Yes, thank you.
I tried this and it was easy,
ie. to go into TWRP (by Brigudav) --> Advanced Options --> Install Magisk
Simple and effective.
My next issue then, was finding out,
that in TWRP, if I wanted to install TWRP.img (in phone's storage) ,
all files/folders in SDCARD were "encrypted" but I don't have lockscreen or PIN pattern turned on.
What causes this 'encryption' ?
Same here, it's the default on recent Android systems, it seems -- and can also be checked by entering the following in a terminal:
$ getprop | grep encrypt
You need to reset to factory setings in TWRP after removing any types of pin, or pattern lock.
Hello,
I did this guide to install lineage OS:
https://www.getdroidtips.com/lineage-os-galaxy-a5-2016/
and this guide to unlock my phone:
The process ran smoothly until I tried to install gapps...
Setup:
Samsung A5 2015
I'm using:
TWRP:
twrp-3.6.0_9-0-a5xelte
Lineage for Samsung A5 (latest)
40.74 GB folder on MEGA
88 files and 6 subfolders
mega.nz
Gapps:
Codefire - Downloading /jdcteam/javelinanddart/gapps/MindTheGapps-12.0.0-arm64-20220217_095343.zip
Lineage installs ok but it fails when trying to install Gapps.. The Error says:
"
Could not mount /mnt/system! Aborting
Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
Error installing zip file... "
I have tried:
1 - After installing LineageOS to clear cache before install gapps, same error
2 - After installing LineageOS reboot into recovery again and tried to install it
3 - Try to Install the Gapps from TWRP ADB SideLoad
4 - Tried other Gapps packages as well same thing.
5 - Did the wipe that this guy mentions here as well but he seemed to have changed a script.. which I don't know if it's necessary
All these failed, I can start lineage there aren't any gapps.. so no play store, etc..
Would appreciate any guide or help
This is my first custom rom..

Tried with LineageOS 17.1 with gapps for android 10 same issue.
can't mount..
LineageOS:
LineageOS Downloads
download.lineageos.org
Managed to find the issue..
I was looking at the phone specifications of the Samsung A5 2016 A510F and it said it supported Arm64 but what seems to be implemented is Arm so before I was downloading the Arm64 Gapps.
After downloading the Arm package I managed to install correctly, I also recommend using the OpenGapps since it has better logs:
The Open GApps Project
OpenGApps.org offers information and pre-built packages of The Open GApps Project. The Open GApps Project is an open-source effort to script the automatic generation of up-to-date Google Apps packages. All Android versions and platforms supported.
