I liked the widgets a lot, I think this is the first weather app to have this beautiful widgets I think this is the best part off course with the clean overall design. It would also be great if you could add more weather providers, and and maybe in the future a version without adds.

Thank you, glad you like the app! We will release a pro version without ads really soon, we are also working on a theme gallery, so you can choose what you like

Looks very promising. What I'm missing is the ability to click the widget to open the app / clock / etc. Do you plan to integrate something like that? And localisation
Where do you get the weather data from? Any chance to implement hourly weather forecast in future?

Hi! Sure, we can add the option to open the clock app etc. The weather informations are provided by dark sky. What do you mean by "localisation" ? If you mean to find your position by the gps, the feature is already available, just turn on your gps and open the app

It's simple. I suggest you to use a custom launcher, so you can resize the widget as you want, but you can use the widget with a normal launcher as well.
Go the homescreen long tap on a empty area then select "widgets" search for "Overdrop" and add a widget then the list will appear after that so you can choose the widget you want

Does this have the ability to add temp into status bar?

Let me know if you like the new theme

Oh my gawd! This app is gorgeous and very well made. I does not hang on my low end test device. I defenitely gonna use this as my default weather app on all my devices!
Thanks dev

I have to feel this sensation with your widgets from the time of HD WIDGETS!
Many congratulations, your job is wonderful!
I'm looking forward to the next releases.

Hey Brekane,
Great app my dude. Looking forward to that amoled black theme. I do have one request. You use dark as the data source, and I was wondering if you could implement the Hyperlocal data. That being the days used in the little box on the Arcus weather app. It says where the closest precipitation is, and how long it will be for before it rains within the hour forecast.
Example: light rain staring in 50 mins. See attachment.

high rez HTC clock and weather widget

The closest I have got to getting the HTC clock widget on the x10 is free widget app on the market called HTC clocks and a weather widget. They are both low rez and look terrible on the home screen. Anyone know if there is a high rez htc clock and weather widget out there? Perhaps taken from the desire?
Look here.
Yes, just download Fancy Widget from Market and you will have exactly like on Desire, Im using it and it is great !
Do you also get the nice weather animations that appear on Desire when you unlock the screen? Windshield wipers on rainy days and so on? Doesn't seem to work here.

As far as i know, you don't have that in the Fancy Widget now.
I think that this is Android 2.1 feature and that we cannot have that animated sun and rain...correct me if Im wrong...but then, I dont see why isnt that implemented in any weather app if it is possible on 1.6 ?
Beautiful home widget looks great. u get an animated weather widget which changes according to the time.
"Weather Widget & Toggle" plus their weather addon is what you're looking for. Identical to the HTC clock in hi-rez and it has the weather animations, lightning, clouds scrolling buy, rain drops with wiper blade etc.
which addon do you mean?

After you install weather widget & toggle, there is a addon for extended weather options. Just hit options inside the weather widget, and there is an option to download the weather addon. This replaces the default screen when you tap on the weather icon on the clock, it opens up a new weather screen that has the kick ass animated weather and forcast.
i tested it, but i like fancy widget more
I use Beautifull Widgets and is working great and has animation just like Desire. I have my X10i and my brother has Desire....

try beautiful widgets...
I used to use beautiful widgets but for the last week or so ive tried fancy widgets. I like the look of the fancy ones as its almost a direct copy from the htc sense one but i found my battery seemed to be dying quicker than normal so ive gone back to beautiful for now to test it.
Anyone else use fancy widget and find their battery going quicker?
HTC is taking down any clock widgets that looks like theirs
fancy widgets, weather forcast, and another app changed their clock designs.
so if you want to get the htc clock i guess you gotta google it and manually install it.
Damn HTC
Fancy widget has no weather icon below the clock, its that 2 days already. What is that ? I have only clock and other numbers but no icon for weather ?
The clock
Hello,
I just installed Fancy Widget, but it seems to be problem with the time.
The clock never updates, weather is working fine.
I did change one settings, AUTO refresh. cuz i dont want to use internet all the time.
I was using beautiful widget and lately it was giving some errors on whether. So I installed fancy widget and remove from kill list.
So far its working fine and I kept 12 hours refresh interval and use manual location instead GPS (it kills battery)
I have no battery impact on both apps and Im happy about it.
With the recent update on fancy widget, it will be discontinued due to HTC behind them on name usage.
It seems that HTC is taking down Fancy Widget now.
Just look here: http://www.anddoes.com/?p=47
So does anyone have an apk file of Fancy Widget v1.2.4 i can download from somewhere?. Yes the widget is free, so it's not warez.

Wow nice. Will get.

It is great but I wish it has huge widget so I can put it on whole page in my launcher. Now it is only icon until I press it to launch.
I would buy it, but I doubt something like this will run very well on my G1. Looking forward to trying it though!
Been using this for a while actually! Pretty good! Looks nice, feels nice, does it's job
I get black lines flicker on the display when this is open. Apart from that I really like it.
Looks alot like Touch Weather by MobilityFlow WM
Love it! Thank you very much for share! I wish to set it up like live wallpaper in the future! Thank you

Thanks so much for share this fantastic application.. really good work.
This is great, I'd buy the pro version right now if it included a live wallpaper.
Saying that, I wouldn't mind more backgrounds, or maybe the ability to choose your own would be cool.
I ended up watched the effects through two full rotations, just couldn't put it down.
Love the lightning but I find the rain a little boring, sry.
Just curious but where are you getting your weather info from?
Cool thing!
Although a 4x2 Widget, maybe animated, would be the greatest
great looking app, would love to purchase once it's in a more finished form. live wallpapers, more/customizable backgrounds, a better widget.
looks great so far tho, keep up the good work !

WOW!!! awesome work on this app. HTC should take a page out of your book.
I wish real weather sounds could be added.

Yeah this is an awesome weather app!
I really hope they could figure out a way to integrate this with a widget, or even live wallpaper for the go launcher.
A neat note on this, if you use the video livewalllpaper, these videos work great with it and are stored by the app on your sdcard.
Excellent! Love it!
And runs totally smooth on my hero.
Sent from my HTC Hero using Tapatalk
I already send you an email, I entered my place and the application found it, but when I applyed it, a place 30 miles away showed up.
Also I am not a big fan of the short video, everytime it will repeat itself it shows a white flash for a tenth of a second....which happens often as it is a very short video...
I am extremely satisfied with GO Launcher and GO Sms, but GO weather really needs some improvement before I will give up Palmary Weather.
Cheers,
Arnold
Realy Nice new Update !!!!
Is it possible to add an Configuration Screen for the Live Wall ?
It would be nice if i have the possibility to hide/unhide some Informations on the Wallpaper.
At the Moment it looks a little bit overloaded
Love it! Fahrenheit doesn't want to stay. Keeps switching to Celsius. Also, I love GO SMS, GO Launcher, GO Weather, and I really want you guys to release GO Browser (translate it to english asap!!)
looks very nice!
one thing would be great:
right now you are storing data at /sdcard/xweather/
it would be great if you could honor the Android documentation [1] and store your all data (*.mp4) at /sdcard/Android/data/<package_name>/files/
this way my sdcard stays clean and your app gains karma

How do I show only the current weather and not the 4 day forecast?
btw, celsius is spelt with 2 's.
Thanks.
oooh nice and clean. keep it up!
using it right now.

This is great. I agree with nyloncrack above, that there should be an option for just the current weather. And also, for the notification icon, it would be much more useful if you had the current temperature instead of that image of a sun. Great app though!
Thanks for the share.Great idea for people that don't want a weather app on the home screen.

Another request, can you please let us choose the weather providers? I'd like to use yr.no instead of Yahoo. They have a MUCH more extensive list of cities, especially in small countries like mine. Yahoo only has the capital and about 2-3 cities.
In all cases, thanks A LOT. Just a few days ago I was asking on Twitter if someone knew a weather forecast app that made use of Jelly Bean's notifications. And now, you did it!
A few additions:
1. Maybe add the option to have rain probability for today.
2. German "Umlaute", like ö, ä, ü will not display correctly.
Nice app all in all. I will try it out for a few days and then decide on keeping it or not =)
LOOKS GREAT!!!!
Just what I have been looking for.
For those that don't want 4day forecast, just two finger swipe up on the notification and it will shrink it.
The only suggestion I have: have an option to get rid of icon in status bar.
But looks great man, might I ask where you learned your coding? I would like to get into it.
I like it. Although when I uninstalled it, my phone restarted. GS3 with CM10 nightly.
Looking great, congrats!
As far as I know, you can't get rid of the icon, so it'd be great to have the current temp on it (yes, it has to be an icon resource, so you'll have to generate icons for all possible temps... sucks, I know)
Would you consider sharing the source code? I'm interested in programming a somewhat similar permanent notification widget and really think this could help me out.

Google introduced expandable notifications in android 4.1 (jelly bean) so unless they backport it to ICS, I won't be able to release it on ICS.

Feedback
Hi there,
Nice app. I like your color scheme and the layout is interesting compared to other weather apps. I wanted to give you some immediate feedback on my first time experience after downloading The Weather Eye. The first launch experience is confusing because in my case no data loaded into the screen so I had a mostly blank UI and didn't know what to do at first. I've attached a screenshot and also a screenshot of my next step which was to go into settings. There I saw the default was New York (I am in Chicago) but still there was no data. I had to go back, then click refresh icon, then select a day from the side bar listview which then appeared.
I think an area for improvement would be the initial "aha" experience. Maybe you could make sure there is always some kind of weather data displayed instead of an empty template on initial launch. It would be cool if you used my IP address to figure out I was in Chicago and then select that and prepopulate my local weather.
Also, in your settings, the English spelling for "Temperatur" should be "Temperature."
mine displayed data at initial launch....but yes it was for new york
