Flash TMobile CSC on G9550 - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

Hi,
I want to flash the TMobile USA CSC on my G9550. I have tried flashing the CSC file found on Samobile (ie such as G955UOYN3CRD4). Unfortunately, this does not work and fails halfway. Please note, both G9550 and G955U have Snapdragon platforms. The CSC Tool found at https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ility-flashable-csc-selection-v1-0-0-t3711226 would be nice, but it doesn't support this phone for whatever reason. How can I flash the TMOUSA CSC on my G9550?
Thanks.

Samsung Pay G930F

Hi
I have a S7 G930F (single sim) version. It has an XSG firmware from the UAE (Phone is from Dubai).
I'm trying to work out how samsung pay will work when available in the UK. I can access the app now without any issues.
Would it detect that I'm not on a BTU (UK) firmware and not let Samsung pay work or is it depended on if I am using a UK Sim etc?
I guess the easy answer to this would be ' Has anyone used their current european G930/G935 in the US on Samsung Pay with a US sim card and had it work?
I can't flash BTU firmware and CSC as Samsung Pay will only ever work on the original CSC and even when installing new firmware and CSC from another region is keeps a log of the original CSC on the phone and detects a modification.
My know is still 0x0 by the way as I've only used Odin with stock firmware.

How to enable VoLTE on SM-G930F?

I was wondering if it's possible to enable VoLTE on an SM-G930F running BTU firmware on an AT&T carrier. Is there any way to get things like WiFi Calling and VoLTE on it, or am I just screwed since I'm using the international variant of the phone?
When I first got it brand new from Wal-Mart, it was running TTT firmware (from Trinidad and Tobago for some reason) and showed normal 3G, 4G, and LTE symbols on my status bar. Since I wanted to get the Nougat update early, I flashed BTU which switched the symbols to H, H+, and 4G. Does that have anything to do with it?
Thanks.
You're certain it's a G930F? And from Walmart of all places? Exynos isn't meant to be sold in the US.
If it's a G930F and you have TWRP you can flash the CSC tool in the development section which has the US carriers, and CSC is what enables VoLTE.
If it's a US snapdragon model you could flash the AT&T CSC via Odin without needing TWRP.

If OP successfully flashed BTU then it has to be a Exynos G930F, but I agree, most phones sold in the US claiming to be the G930F are modded Snapdragons faked to look like it, but they obviously won't allow a Exynos ROM to be flashed to them, so in this case OP has got a real Exynos
Could be the modem (CP) part of the firmware controlling which carrier services you can receive in your region, not sure I'd recommend flashing a US modem to a UK firmware though, unsure what would happen, although the G930F is pretty straight forward to unbrick as long as you can get back into download mode

Where is this CSC tool? I'm not sure what you mean by "development section". I have an Oreo G930F and I'm trying to get VoLTE to work with AT&T.

It hasn't been updated with the newer versions of Android so it's not really a thing anymore.
Next best thing is to download the entire firmware package for your carrier from somewhere like updato then flash only the home_CSC file. Although iirc this might now work if mixing and matching models, which is why the CSC flash tool was a thing.

The trouble is that the G930F was never officially released on US markets, so I can't find a US firmware. I'd gladly use another market's firmware if I knew it would support AT&T VoLTE and "LTE only" mode, but I have no idea how to figure that out!
So it turns out that I have the Canadian SM-G930W8 (as shown on the download mode screen), not the G930F (as shown everywhere else). Identical hardware, but I can only flash Canadian firmware.

I need help to identify the correct firmware for my S7 (SM-G930F)

I bought a new S7 (G930F) at ebay. When it arrived i wanted to update to the newest firmware, but i got an error notification.
I contacted Samsung and they told me to send it in.
They checked it and told me, that they are not willing to help because the phone is flashed with a wrong firmware. I bought it as a new device. This is unpleasant.
The seller doesn't answer my messages, so i thought maybe i can flash a new firmware by myself. The actual firmware is working but it is outdated. (1. August 2018)
But how can i find out which firmware is correct for this phone? How to say if it is exynos or snapdragon?
The phone information
Modellnummer: SM-930F
Seriennummer: 5AF94C0C
Buildnummer: R16NW.G930FFXXU7CRH2
Kernel: 3.18.71-14274519 [email protected] #1
Basisband: G930FFXXU7CRH2
Android 8.0.0
Samsung Experience: 9.0
I would like to flash the latest firmware and i want to use the phone in germany. Can somebody identify the correct firmware?
Thanks a lot
What does the phone say in download mode? The ROM can be modified to lie about the model and firmware, but download mode will tell you the truth.
If download mode says it's a G930F then it's Exynos, if it says G930U/V/T/A then it's Snapdragon.
If it is a G930F then good news is you can just flash whatever G930F firmware you want over top what's on it. If it's Snapdragon then you're a bit stuffed, you can't flash Exynos firmware onto Snapdragon.
For updating it if it is G930F my recommendation would be to find out the region code for your device, e.g. from here https://updato.com/firmware-archive...act=1&r=DBT,XEG,DCO,DDE,VIA,DTM,VD2&v=&rpp=15 then download the firmware using that region code with SamFirm tool https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647
Download Mode says SM-G930V
I'm doomed
Yep that's a common scam. If you can't return to seller the next best thing would be to flash the G930U firmware, which is the generic unlocked firmware for Snapdragon.
It won't give you the equivalent experience, but it will remove any bloat and give you a carrier unlocked phone experience.
You can use the same methods I mentioned to get your hands on the latest G930U firmware and update the device, but you may need this specific Odin version to flash G930U over G930V https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/patched-odin-3-13-1-t3762572
Thanks. Does TMK, TFN, TMB,... make a difference when the phone is used in germany?
Should i flash all 5 files:?:
AP
BL
CP
CSC
Home
I tried and my result is: Flashing only AP was not enough. Flashing all 5 worked fine for me. I chose TMK and even LTE is working. Thanks a lot.
Glad its working, for reference CSC and Home_CSC are both CSC files and you usually pick just one. Home_CSC doesn't do a data wipe, CSC does.
But when changing from G930V to G930U it's always safest to do the CSC wipe.

Unable to change firmware on note 20 ultra

Hi, im unable to change firmware on my samsung galaxy note 20 ultra. Currently its UAE. I have downloaded srilanka firmware, successfully flashed it using odin. But when the phone is started it showes still on UAE. Kindly help or guide me on this issue.
Is UAE the firmware version or the CSC?
If it's the firmware version it's strange you can flash and get success then go back to the older firmware but if it's CSC then it's understandable.
You may need to look up how to change your CSC version, there are guides on here...
Flashing an OXM rom won't change your CSC but the firmware version will change.

For people who can't switch between csc in the same mult csc pack. OXM multi csc pack contains all the european generic and network branded firmware (csc) so if You are at XSG (part of OXM multi pack), and flash it with SLK (part of OXM multi pack) the XSG will stay. What you need to do is to flash it with different multi csc pack (just see what packs are available for your model), try to flash Brazil CSC ZTO, which is part of multi pack OWO. then flash it back with OXM multi pack, and it should switch to some generic csc, then if you instert your sim card it should ask you if you want to customize your phone to the inserted sim card and it will change your csc to the one you want.
Can't change the CSC of XSG
Hi all
Anyone need call recording option, flash Indonesia firmware (XID)
Or Chinese stock ROM.

Question XSG csc

Hi guys i bought a galaxy s22 ultra (S908E/DS) and i saw it now the the csc is for Arab country. i live in Bosnia (Europe) is there any way to change the csc to eux? thansk for infos
I guess you bought device is snapdragon and you needs a CSC which available on;y on exynos. If there is no issue with network then better keep as it is.
Alternatively try flashing HOME_CSC file from stock firmware of EUX, most likely it may get block by odin. In this case only way is to root device and force install EUX CSC, again I don't recommend it if their is no valid reason to change.

If you are looking for OTA, you never get Exynos OTA on Snapdragon.
You can not flash full firmware, I'd suggest to flash standalone CSC file in case you have network issue. If you have everything working related to network, I strogly suggest to NOT to mess up. Still you will get OTA when you have new update for arab country.
why i cant flash the full firmware? is it because its a snapdragon or something else? can i mess up my phone when trying to flash the csc via odin and download mode?
