Are any of the Bluetooth handsfree car kits any good? I just tried the Motorola Roadster 2 and it is totally crap. Tinny, staticty, basically unable to be heard or understood on the other end.

I've got the GROM-IPD3 in my '04 Volvo S60R. I added the bluetooth addition and use A2DP to stream audio. Alternatively you could use the 3.5mm jack, it has an adapter for it. I also use it to charge the phone. The GROM-USB is more for iphone users, as it will allow you to view the song text on th radio. They claim this doesn't work in Android yet, but will be enabled soon via Bluetooth with our devices since they're AVRCP 1.4+. The bluetooth addition also comes with a microphone so you can place calls over it as well. Works pretty well honestly.

Anyone else have any experience?

Hey guys,
Recently switched from wired headphones to wireless Bluetooth ones and am noticing that the volume is significantly lower via Bluetooth audio. I am using the Google play music app. The music is a bit louder when streaming etc but its about 75% of what i would want the max to be when using google music. Anyways to adjust this setting? Maybe something in the mixerpaths.xml for Bluetooth audio?
Thanks!

Have a look at divine beats thread or any other sound mod thread,if it says that it works with Android O then okay but if it doesn't then you'll have to live with it until the developers release sound mods for Android O.

Will do. I guess no one figured out an easy way to mod this in the mixer_path.xml file?

Yes,fix somewhere lies in that file itself and I guess with a little google search you'll be able to find the solution which includes modifying that file.

Tried Google and XDA extensively. No dice.
Edit: they have a bunch of stuff but only to fix speaker and wired headphones volume. Not for Bluetooth.

No way. How do you get that for 1+1? Or you use Pixel or Nexus? I asked Agent_fabulous port that for 1+1

I'm on Nexus 6p. Haven't done anything yet.
Oneplus Just released kernel sources for opx, that is FM capable and has an FM radio app. I don't know if this can help in porting the FM on opo. Sadly, spirit FM developer stated that is an hardware limitation.
Let me know what you think :/
OPO doesn't have an FM receiver so nothing could be done

The OpO SOC is FM capable, however OnePlus didn't wire up the receiver to the headphone jack. No hope, unfortunately.

So, definitely, there is a hardware limitation!

I'm wondering why they did this!
Anyway, I was quite sure it was an hardware limitation. It's a pity :/

I haven't got my OnePlus 8T yet, so I wanna know if the OnePlus 8T supports aptX Adpative. I've checked on aptX site and it says 8T supports adaptive. I would be grateful if anyone confirms this.

My Anker SoundCore Liberty Air 2 Connects with aptX enabled, they sound great. You will see a little pop up with aptX when they connect. Did not have to modify anything in regards to bluetooth codecs, etc. in developer options.

Yes. It does support aptX and aptX HD.
But I wanna know if it supports aptX Adaptive. Can you please check the available codecs in developer options and share a screenshot of the same?

The audio codecs list, please? Just a tap on the "bluetooth audio codec". Sorry if I'm asking too much.

Yes, Liberty Air 2 supports only aptX, AAC and SBC. I got my pair a few days back.

Or, apparently it might be the phone. My device only supports the aptX codec that it's connected to.

That's quite a coincidence! Can't beat em for the price. Didn't see any references to the 8t, but it looks like the 8pro supports hd, but not adaptive. Guessing since the hardware is pretty similar, we will have the same.

8T is the first OP device to get aptX Adaptive. The other OP phones with aptX support have aptX and aptX HD only. They had put in adaptive and tws+ codecs in some builds (which obviously didn't work) only to remove them later. I have a 7 Pro and planning to upgrade to the 8T. Will probably do when 9 launches, should get good some discounts.
