What is combination file? the baseband of phone is g955fxxu1aqd2 and I saw that that is a combination?
is this an unofficial ROM? If yes can I go back to Official with ODIN?

i have flashed a new official rom with Odin and it was all ok,
download from sammobile and flash with odin,

I have S8+ (SM-G955F) with Oreo firmware (bootloader v2)and I want to back Nougat firmware but when I try I got binary error message (bootloader downgrade error)
This combination file would help me Is this a Nougat firmware with bootloader v2

hey guys, i have 5.1.1 version on my S6...the coj6 one.....i wanted to flash the uk BTU version but it seems like it's deleted from sammobile.com ....so i decided to flash an older 5.1.1 on my device and then get an ota to the latest BTU 5.1.1 and then hopefully get an OTA of 6.0....so my question is, can i flash an old 5.1.1 on the latest one? knox?

Beta program has been closed... you can flash Ap and CP but not the bootloader if the current one os newer than the one you trying to flash... you will get sboot fail in odin

Hey guys! I have a problem. I have flashed on my Galaxy S7 (Exynos version) the galaxy Note Fan Edition Port rom a couple of weeks ago, but now I flashed the latest stock firmware from Sammobile via odin and it always fails at the bootloader. I don't know why? I searched for many hours for a solution, but nothing works.... I hope somebody could help me

Could also be that the latest bootloader prevents rolling back, so if you're trying to go from a newer bootloader to an older one it won't let you. You can probably just exclude the BL file and be fine.
Is that Fan Edition ROM you flashed not a S7 Edge rom made to work on the S7..! Maybe your phone shows up as a G935 now?
I have flashed android 8.0 manually from sammobile via odin and it got stuck on emergency recovery and I somehow got it into the download mode and every time I want to flash my stock firmware it says device 2 binary 1... I also flashed twrp recovery and wiped everything (system, data....) and tried again and it always fails in odin and says device 2 binary 1.. Im trying to find solution but everytime it fails. PLEASE HELP ME

Samething happened to me. I did the same thing u did but nothing worked.

you should go for latest rom. download from here: https://samsung-firmware.org/model/SM-G930F/region/BTU/

Hi! Same error but different situation.
I was on the latest firmware 8.0 ITV, I wanted to downgrade to nougat, so I downloaded the first 7.0 firmware BTU (the one that was the best for my S7).
I opened all the firmware files on odin 3.13.1 and I started the procedure but at a certain point everything stopped, on odin the message "failed" appeared and on the phone the message "sw rev check fail (bootloader) device 2 binary 1".
I tried with a different version of odin but the message remains the same, I also tried without flashing the BL file but nothing ... In the end I had to flash again the latest firmware oreo ITV and no errors appeared, but I find myself at the starting point
specific that my S7 has never had modding operations, the knox counter is perfectly at 0x0, I have always used only original firmware and never had problems with odin.
How can I downgrade without having in that error?

After rooting and installing a rom i now dont have a working modem, i attempted to reflash the stock rom using odin but each time it fails to write when using the AP. i have managed to update the modem with odin but did not work.
I believe i may be using the wrong stock firmware files. could anyone help me please to locate the stock firmware? sammobile doesnt seem to be able to let you download firmware for free anymore?
Its an unlocked device but i had it through EE so i believe this is the file i need? can you please help

I dont know exactly but accoring to your title their bud you got a 955f which is Exynos not Snapdragon

now my phone stuck on galaxy s8+ logo
i tried to flash and old firmware but then i got device 3, binary 1.
and now im trying to download the right firmware , but im not sure which one i need , can please someone help me.
i know it and august security patch and its maybe g955fXXu3crgh(im not sure its this one).
and im missing recovery on my device

Your Odin error is due to flashing older firmware version ( Bootloader)
The firmware you mentioned above is the latest version 3 bootloader so you should be able to flash that.
Latest version firmware is G955FXXU4CRI5 (September with bootloader ver 4) if you want to update to the latest firmware.
Flashing the firmware will replace your recovery.
You can use this to find the latest firmware for your phone

I was running on Superman rom(superstock kernel)
i tried to reboot while suddenly couldnt do so coz custom binary frp was locked.
I tried to flash stock firmware(did not download it from Sammobile and it was a nougat firmware)FAILED
Note: Rooted the phone months ago when it was on oreo
What could be the reason for the fail? is it because I tried to install a older firmware?

Oreo firmware seems to be detecting custom firmware and would FRP locked the bootloader and the only way to fix it is to get to download mode and flash stock firmware with odin.
