[APP][FEEDBACK] Arnova8G2's Google Camera Port

I think I got some problem on ASUS Zenfone 3 (ZE520KL/ZE552KL). I can't select Resolution more than 9.4 MP (rear camera)
But Front camera is working well.
I attached logcat , Camera2Test and Resolution Select Screenshot. @Arnova8G2

That's normal. The camera mod is from pixel devices which don't have 16mo sensors. Therefore 16mp won't work in camera ports too

Best pixel camera port, I use for since version 5. It's a major go!

Working great on my Oreo ZE552KL, just the AR stickers feature it's broken.

Only 9.4 mp max resolution, what can be done to solve this?

The hdr+ doesn't work on the arnova version though works on the BCG version. The app will often crash when a scene is dark or more than two pictures are clicked.
These observations are off the stock and custom roms both on Oreo. @Arnova8G2 I'VE attached the logs

weirdly enough still doesn't work with a few combinations Tried the combinations that used to work on my gemini(mi5).Thanks for your efforts @Arnova8G2. let me know if alog is required.

It would be nice if Google Camera HDR+ would work at full resolution with ze520kl & ze552kl.

I can not run any of the recommended GCams from version 6. I tested all suggested apks in an attempt to get the latest stable version for ZenFone 3. The version that is steadily running for this model is: "GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod -Arnova8G2-V7beta-test-9.apk "

Having ZS570KL here. Problem with Autofocus. Currently available to be use software Pxiel2Mod V7 Beta 9. Suspecting Gcam not using Laser AF that cause this issue.

Portrait sometimes not work just switch to back cam and switch to front cam in portrait mode will work back.

is it possible to create twrp patch for those who dont use magisk?

I have tested too many times on Mcaosp Rom with derp kernel on this patch front camera
HDR+ no black image even I review the photos and come back no any issue or Extreme lowlight . but sometimes on portrait gave black image just switch to back cam and switch to front back HDR+ will work again.

I tested it. Just enable Buffer fix and disable Google photos in setting, it can shot 10 photos HDR continuously (I don't test above it) but there will be a pause each shot (about half second). When I open gallery it showing 7 photos queued, 2 photos processing, and 1 photos processed. Whenever it crash, HDR still process, so you won't lose your photo. But until now I never rarely crash. Don't ask front camera, it won't work on pixel 3 camera, take pixel 2 camera for front camera.
This is my setting, and it's work perfect:
I install camera patch v2
Motion: for smooth off, for enable top shot auto/on
Video res: 4K (cannot record on low light)
Stabilization: on
Advanced: dirty lens off, HEVC on, HDR control off, RAW off
BSG MOD setting:
HDR+ Parameter: min 2 max 7 (change whatever you like, I use 2 for faster process)
Photos: disable
Libs: Savitar
FIX: Motion on, Buffer fix on, viewfinder motion and AE on
How to get top shot:
Install latest daydream and Google photos (daydream) from apkmirror. If you cannot update app, uninstall photos update first.
From here, your motion photos will get top shot selection by go to picture info

Front cam doesn't work mates,

Hello OP, I tried V2 patch. It is terrible. When I chose to capture video, i feel like I'm zooming in. I have to revert back to V1 patch. Even with V1, I can have front camera work in gcam 5.1 and night sight in G cam 6.1

Have you follow step to enable top shot?
Install "Google photos (daydream)" and daydream, take it from apkmirror
Also enable motion when taking photos

What doesn't work ( At least for me ) :
You cant use wide agle and macro lense.
60 fps video recording ( Refords 30 fps ).

Portrait mode Edge detection is horrible sometimes.
I wish 60 fps video recording would be supported.

Hardware is not the same, I was under the same perception in A5 2020 and A9 2020
Even in A5 2020, there are two different suppliers of sensors depending upon region. Lower end version (CPH-1933) use 12MP sensor from Omnivision and higher end use Sony or Samsung (I don't remember exactly, but the exact sensor models are listed in a system xml file) 12MP sensor. (Sony IMX 386 I think while 2MP sensors are samsung's)

installed and tested the MGC_7.3.020_RPII_v0f
- features working:
* taking photos in max resolution
* night mode
* videos in 30 or 60 fps
* portrait mode
- features not working:
* Shortcut to play videos does not work, playing from DCIM is totally fine though
* Slow motion does not respond and saves glitchy footage
* does not use the other lenses
So, that was my experience on that version

Finally after months of search I found A gcam 7 which has front cam HDR working, it works fine on my havoc 3.2 android 10, only slowmotion doesn't work and too much grain in HDR+ enhanced mode, I use HDR+ only
