Android P Nightly Beta Builds for Mi Mix 2S (Chinese) - Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S Guides, News, & Discussion

Xiaomi has begun building nightlies for Android P, so I've added them below.
https://funkyhuawei.club/mimix2builds
All builds are from Xiaomi's servers. Just providing links. I can't answer any questions about them, because I haven't been able to try them. But the below link might help people understand what they are:
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://en.miui.com/thread-2439969-1-1.html
(Cached version, original seems to have been removed from Xiaomi forum)
Although we do this for free/fun, any donations provided will encourage us to keep up the Xiaomi research.

some one try to flash it?

I tried Android O ; bootloops
Flash ok, first setup screen. Choose language(Turkish ok), choose region(only china), writing "just a sec" and bootloops...
8.4.17
8.4.27

Please be careful with these builds. There was some trouble with redmi note 5 pro, damaged the screen.

Try factory reset after flashing. It could have to do with user data.

I saw the official global Android O on en.miui.com,
Why would you try the Android O? Wish I had a backup phone, would like to try the P
P/S: Downloading the P version 8.4.29, let give it a try.

So did anyone tried it? Do I need a unlocked bootloader to try it?
Is this stock Android P or with MIUI

Actually, its with Redmi 5 Plue/Redmi Note 5. Regardless of any phone, it's better to be at caution with leaked early builds.

What method did you use to flash?
I think better to flash with fastboot than with twrp.
You'll need to use tools to get the system image from the files included to flash in fastboot. I think sdat2img should do it.

In RN5 case, its permanent screen burn-in. It's so bad that even if you used the build for less than an hour, you can say goodbye to your IPS panel. Some used warranty to replace the panel for free.

It worked when i flashed open-gapps-arm64-6.0-mini. But i downloaded aroma and super versions, just to find out 1. aroma gets freeze on TWRP, 2. Mi4i doesn't have much system space for installing the super version. :silly:

Is the camera working fine after installing the Chinese variant rom?
Guys, i have successfully flashed this ROM using MiFlash Tool, but keep in mind that its a china ROM so there were no Play store, Gmail, No Photos app, and also Portrait mode on rear camera lagging a lot, so i would suggest you guys, dont waste your time to flash this rom, and wait for the OTA, there is no drastic changes in this ROM, looks same like how our device was,
its recommended do not flash this ROM, unless you are a developer, its Purely Chinese ROM, you can select language to English but also you will have to side-load all the GApps, dual 4G also not working

Might have to install twrp for this and someone to create a treble vendor, on the original mix we can install gsi because a dev created a treble vendor. Good news is he is also purchasing a mix 3, right pepsy, sit tight everyone.

Also, what do you mean by slider settings? The only thing that could be missing in that regard is the automatic execution of actions, as revealing the camera is an entirely manual action, not governed by any software.

It's a new MIUI version, so you have to format data in TWRP.
From there you also flash the ROM.
After installation is finished, you should wipe cache & dalvik.
So just give it a try.
It's in chinese & english.
I really like the experience so far on the Mi 10.
