[Q] Video player that displays filenames & folders

Hiya guys,
I've got two folders on my SD Card, called "Films" and "TV Shows". I'd like to keep each of the videos from each folders separate. Is there a video playing app that will let me do this?
The app I'm using at the moment is called Video Player, it just displays all of the videos in one big list - not telling me which folder each of the videos is in. I've tried a few more (Realplayer, doubleTwist), but they don't do it !
Ta very much,
Alex

[Q]Music players can't find music folder

Hi,
I've just finished install the ROM CoreDroid, and I have issue with my music.
I created a folder "Music" on my SD Card, but neither of PlayerPro or the default music player can find my songs.
I've also tried in Documents\Music, same problem.
How can I solve this issue ?
Thank's
Thanks for choosing Coredroid! Music players working ok for me. Both stock and PowerAmp find my tunes. I created a 'music' folder like you.
Have you tried a reboot since creating your folder? Sounds odd but sometimes you need to force a scan of media before a player will see it. There is also an app that does this without a reboot called SDrescan. Give that a go and let me know what happens.
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
I finally found the problem. My songs were in .flac, apparently CoreDroid can't recognize them.
Putting .MP3 in "Music" folder works.
Thank you anyway

It's not so much CoreDroid, but a specific media player which does or does not support flac. The stock HTC player has never supported it. I can highly recommend the purchase of PowerAmp. It can play flac files and is in my opinion the best player out there.

[Q] Music Player not working..!

I used the Megatron ROM for a long time and it was the most stable ROM ever!
But recently i encountered a problem where i cant play any of my music file though any music player including the Google Play Music.
I wiped my transformer and changed the rom to CM10 but still none of the music player can scan the music content on the device. These players used to work perfectly but suddenly all stopped. Can anyone think of any reason as to why this must be happening.??
Where is the music stored ?

It's stored in /sdcard/Music.
Now i am having an error "android.process.media has stopped" whenever i try to open a music app (Apollo or Play Music).

Music player after 4.1.1 update.

Anyone else have the problem with the music player?
If i try to run any app with music in the background it pauses, also when screen goes to sleep the music pauses.
Only way to play music now is to keep the screen on and not browse. Freaking lame.
Any ideas how to keep it running like before?
I play music in dual mode with anything else , i have the same problem like u , uk 4.1.1

Yes. I can browse the internet if I manually type the address but as soon as I hit my bookmarks. It pauses.
I can browse tapatalk and listen only until I click on a thread.
That I can live with but having the screen on to keep the music playing is ridiculous.
Seems to work fine on mine - Germany 4.1.2 (XXCLL3)

4.1.1 for N8000 must have this bug.
Its now impossible to listen to music unless you set the screen to stay awake all the time.
Is there any solution for the problem with the music player? I have the german 4.1.2 too and at the moment I have to use another player to play music in the background.

Best folder based music player?

Hi guys,
I'm currently using Folder Player but I find it a bit slow and it won't play many formats (flac, etc). I was wondering what people are using these days. One must have item for me is that it MUST be folder based (like Folder Player) and FREE. Any suggestions are welcome.
Currently the most popular is "PowerAmp Music Player" . It plays most format of music files.

"PlayerPro Music Player" can be found in Play store and also you can choose songs from folders.

You play flac on your phone? Even if you have the best audio compression, the speaker is crap anyway, so no point in playing those, unless you use very good Headphones...
Try ttpod
