This Morning my HTC One A9 Camera just went blank on portrait mode but works in landscape mode. Both front and back camera don't show visual in portraits. Anybody know why and a possible fix for that...?

Hi guys,
I'd like to underline a problem I have with some applications for camera, like Camera360, Camera Effects, Pudding Camera and so on.
Even if I set the display to not rotating (in other words, always landscape), those apps when taking a photo take it in portrait mode, and I have to rotate them manually with another program.
The strange thing is that while capturing the image is set in landscape mode (so I have the illusion that everything is working fine), but when saving the photo it is rotated by 90°, like it would have been taken in portrait.
Do you know how to solve this problem?
It is very uncomfortable to rotate manually every photo taken with those programs.
Hope you the best, thank you!

any.chance of getting a google camera with portrait mode support?
Pixel Google Camera Port
I tried so many builds but not getting any success. i think our developers can fix this...
Is there any one who can help in this case...We need to run this camera on our device ? Low end phones with single camera are getting great portait shots in Front ? and back ?. I tried to run in on my Honor 8 but it crashes after and after.... Anybody please help me?
Is there any update on this? I was hoping to use the pixel camera for portrait mode.
Not sure how this happened but the portrait mode (rear camera) is broken. If I open the camera it works fine but if I switch to portrait mode on the rear camera it just stays black and then closes out. Even after a fresh install of stock 5.1.7 the issue is still there . Has anyone else come across this issue or knows how to test to see if it's a hardware issue?
Hello, the same thing happens to me and I wanted to know if I could solve them?
Hi I am not aware whether you all are facing this issue. Portrait mode on Miui 10 Pie automatically uses the Telephoto, or the secondary lens by default and there is no way to change this. As a result the viewfinder automatically zooms the photo 1.5 to 2x and it becomes literally a mess of a portrait photo. I am wondering why is no one raising this issue. The camera sucks now. Does anyone have a workaround??
Hi guys,
I don't know why but suddenly portrait mode stoped working on the back and front cameras. I won't deffocus the background. I've S Pro Camera and it DOES deffocus the background with the front and back cameras, so I'm thinking it's not a hardware issue (though I don't know it the S Pro Camera portrait mode is done via software). I've also already cleared the stock camera data and cache. Is there a way for me to reinstall the stock camera to see if it fixes the issue? Or any other solution that won't imply me doing a factory reset?
