( GUIDE ) How to have consistent 30fps at low light environments on SNAPCHAT

Most Android Phones suffer drop in fps while shooting snap-chat videos in dark or low lit environments and take screenshot of the screen instead of using the full potential of the camera resulting in crappy pics and videos . There is a work around to change that and its very simple.
Its recommended that you take a twrp backup before starting.
first thing first make sure you have a ROOTED phone .
1. Uninstall snap-chat
2. Download an app called Build.prop from the play store
3. Open build.prop and grant it root access.
4. search for the keyword Model and you will get a line named (ro.product.model) you have to edit that line to OnePlus A3003
5. Confirm that the phone model has changed to OnePlus A3003 by opening build.prop and searching for the model number .
6. Restart your phone and download snapchat .
Note : Tested on most lollipop and marshmallow roms on galaxy s5 , s6 , note 3, 4, 5 , LG G3 , LG G4 , HTC M8
Tested on some sony devices and ended up bootlooping. Dont try if u have other than samsung galaxy, LG , HTC and Oneplus devices.
Edit : U can change the phone model to
1. For all other brands to HTC 10 or ONEPLUS A3003
2. For galaxy note 3 SM-N900X
3. Note 4 SM-N910X
4. NOTE 5 SM-N920X
5. For s6 and s7 just erase the variant whether its P or T or whatever and put an X after the model number

* This mod will give u a smooth video recording experience as well as uses the full potential of the camera instead of just taking a screenshot of the viewfinder.
* on some android phones on which you have on screen soft keys the video or the picture is slightly cropped, by using this mod the snapchat will capture it with full screen
* solves the issue of filters not being displayed on some android phones

How does this work? Is there proof i.e code that says "if model is xyz do xyz"? Or is this all placebo? Curious.

Its really weird why this works but it does.. Even changing the note 3 or 4 or 5's variant number made it work. I first tried it when i had a note 3 . It was a SM-N9005 i changed its model number to SM-N900X

There is not a ro.product.model line in my build prop, only lines close to that are ro.product.manufacturer=OnePlus and ro.product.brand=OnePlus. There are also no lines with the word "model".
So should I add the line ro.product.model=OnePlus A3003?

Did you follow all the steps correctly ? And which phone r u using ?

Will this work on a Asus Zenfone 3 Max? And someone know how to root it without a pc? I tried kingoroot and kingroot but they don't work

After changing the Note 5 model number to N920X it doesn't let me log in to my SC account. and yes, I've followed your steps in order and I've changed it back to the original model name and it still doesn't let me in...
The strange thing is that when I log in in my note 5 it says that my account has been temporarily locked, but when I log in on another device my it login on my SC account...
Any help will be great ?

Hello Everyone.. Last week got an update for P20 Pro Indian varient. New features as said by P20 Pro in this update were HI Touch Feature, Paytm Finger Print scan support, June Security patch.....!!!
The drawbacks after update were listed below.
1. Charging Time (0 - 50%) taking 54minutes while the phone is switched off. (This is weird)
2. Scrolling (apps menu, settings, Instagram) has huge lagging.
(P20 Pro Global Issues)
Below points were raised by many USERS and they are not reaching to Huawei for corrections. Let us make publish these points together until we succeeding reaching manufacturer.
3. Captured Screenshots were unable to view full after sending to our WhatsApp contacts, To be fixed
4. Still front facing camera beauty mode not yet fix, it's over saturated
5. Slow motion video @960fps not upto the mark
6. Still no EIS for video recording at 4K
7. All the themes and wallpapers in themes app were of EMUI 8.0 only and it should be upgraded to 8.1 for compatibility to EMUI 8.1 (because wallpapers were getting zoom in while inserting to home screen)
8. Still there is no double tap on screen for screen Off/On
9. Huawei Cloud ID is not compatible in India as we can't verify our mobile due to no "India" in the list of regions.. IDIOTIC
10. Security Updates were too slow compared to other high end devices from other companies or carriers
11. Required 3 finger scroll down for screenshot instead of knuckle tap
12. Default call recording option to be added as you just given in Honor View 10.
13. EMUI to be improvised as menu icons to be customized as stock. (because many of us are not liking the big icons and of round borders)

Im sorry but i think ur dreaming of a perfect phone. Not all issues or features can be addressed. Thats just unrealistic. We buy phones base on their brands due to their features. Each brand has its own feature. They are known cos of their features. Youre asking for a pecfect phone which doesnt exist. Better deal with the flaws and youll live happier.

Yes it's hidden, the only way to show it is to go into Settings, search for LED and tap on Notification Light ↓

unfortunately the rom is buggy, especially from a lag in various parts of the system, I couldn't stand it.

What exactly does Notch Fix mean? For me, the application delete option appears under the noch.
I installed Orangefox Recovery instead of the old one and reinstalled the Notch fix but still not working properly.
Other thing:
There is a 1.6GB system update via OTA. Which phone is this for? For Redmi Note5 or Note6 Pro?

Please keep in mind that this rom is only in beta stage and is not designed for redmi note 6 pro. Support for our device on MIUI 11 will be coming in the next couple months hopefully. Until then we might see some AOSP Android Q roms soon.
According to some sources the Redmi Note 6 Pro will likely receive a MIUI 11 open beta towards the end of this month (October)

As was said by the publisher of this thread. This MIUI rom is a beta for the Redmi Note 5 Pro (RN5P). Therefore the OTA would be for the RN5P. Our device will receive a Beta towards the end of this month if the sources are correct.

Its too early to say. However we could get Android 10 at the beginning of next year maybe. More information will be revealed over the coming months.

I was asking if this rom is a tereble or non-treble rom , the reason is nothing but on every treble rom the call reception is very bad for jio users , the reciver hears a lote of noice and unable to understand me .

I believe a treble ROM is a GSI aka generic system image for all devices and not just Xiaomi devices. I don't think this is a treble ROM, it's a ported ROM from the rn5pro.

i think miui pro 11 9.9.26 is better smooth and fast than this rom

is there an answer to call recording or not?

call recording thread searches seem to only return outdated information, as far back as 2010 results. what is the answer on call recording with a non-rootable Android 9, Samsung Galaxy S9+ SM-G965U. Will a custom ROM provide the necessary access to be able to call record with a third party app such as ACR? Like before Android 9? This feature is important enough to me that I will rollback Android release or dump Samsung. Oh wait! I can't roll back Android becuase I can't root? WTeff

How to use Call Recording/Second Space on EU version of Realme 5 Pro?

The EU version of Realme 5 Pro does not have Call Recording feature. The feature isn't simply there. It also does not have Second Space feature.
How can I get these features on this phone?

Same problem here. Law in Italy allows call recording without any notice or agreement between parties. This Android 10 is really a screw-up to disable it for whole for EU.
