I recently bought Dasaita 10.2" unit with oreo for my 2016 Jeep Wrangler. Everything is working great except for the Mute button on the steering wheel. When pressed the head unit detects the input and beeps but it doesn't Mute the audio.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi! I've got PX5 and Oreo Rom, without root. I've got problem with steering wheel keys, they work only on default apps as radio app or music player. On Spotify previous/next buttons doesn't work. SpotifyKeys by f1x also doesn't work.
Friend of mine just bought new MTCE from Dasaita and all buttons work, on radio, music player and spotify.
Any ideas?

I have a 2012 Mercedes GL350 with a MTCD PX5 head unit running Hal9 version 3. My steering wheel controls work for the standard phone answer, hangup, and music forward and back - but my steering wheel controls have a button that was used as a "wake" for the old head unit to listen to verbal commands. Currently this button does nothing with the new head unit. I am wondering if I can somehow set this to activate the google assistant to listen for commands. Currently if I try to use the "Hey Google" or "OK Google" voice commands both my phone and the head unit respond. I'd like to change the car head unit to activate on this steering wheel control instead.
Anyone have luck with something like this?
Similar issue here (Mercedes w164). I opened a thread for the can bus where you can participate.
Using the Hal9k ROM and set the option to display the steering wheel codes this button sends nothing. Therefore i assume it is related with the Canbus adapter .
Hi, i'm looking for universal head unit, with preferably latest HW, or px5 at least, that is 7" so I can stick matte screen "protector" on it.
What I can find is unit that still has hw button for next/skip song and volume knob (NOT volume +/- buttons). Or support BT remote that I can put on my steering wheel. I have old car with no resistivity based neither can steering wheel controls.
S far only unit I found that at least remotelly looks usable is some sony with android auto, but I kinda wanted to go with chinese android unit as I can have apps directly on it etc. Thought no next song HW button or buttons instad of knob for volume are really deal breaker.
I know modern cars are full of touchscreen so chinese manufacturers are probably going that way, well I have old car so I obviously don't like that
Anyway do you know of any chinese HU with form factor I would like or with working support for bluetooth steering wheel remote at least?
About app wheel key study I have HU PX5 rom malaysk 3.5 android 8. Can we add off the screen? I see some people can do it. When driving at night does not sting. When controlling the steering wheel So handy.

I’ve got a PX6 12.1 screen for my ranger but the steering wheel buttons have been playing up with the volume down putting volume up and volume up skipping track it would sometimes be fine other times play now it’s permanently swapped to the buttons are doing the wrong thing. It’s had a new canbus module and no difference. Does it sound like a hardware fault? Are there any other setting that I can check. I’ve tried reprogramming the buttons in the steering settings but my unit doesn’t support that.
