I'm having problems installing the ROM. I have installed KK previously, and also on Pipo M9 so know roughly what I'm doing. But now with Moto G it goes no further than boot logo.
Last version it was working was 4.4.4, then did OTA to 5.0.2
I can get into APrecovery and TWMP recovery, have tried
GPE_5.1_XT1032_LMY47M.M001_CFC.xml
from dos commands going through each line
and
Stock Android to GPe.rar
same again
and
XT1032_GPE_5.1_Optimized_v1.1
XT1032_Retail_BR_502_Optimized_v1.2a
They seemed to install fine but was stuck on bootlogo
from TWMP install from USB flash stick.
In TWMP I cannot mount system or cache does that mean anything?
I get Google with Padlock, or several balls spinning around, but it just stays there.
I've probably damaged something so I'd like complete files/ROM and idea what the problem is.
Tried the brazil firmware install via USB it finished and boot logo is different but it's still hanging, I can see the brightness changing on the font

well this is weird, I don't know what I did but it eventually booted up ok, after installing
GPE_5.1_XT1032_LMY47M.M001_CFC.xml
perhaps because I used mfastboot (I used 442 before being suggested to use V2, however it still booted)
It's not rooted though I know need to install SU but I believe there was a update for that as older version no longer installs?
I tried CWM recovery however I was getting vsync like tearing, starting crapping myself because that's what happened with the total hard brick.
Installed TWMP recover and that seems ok.
How to root GPE_5.1_XT1032_LMY47M.M001_CFC.xml? I tried the built in TWMP SU install as you reboot it asks it's not rooted do you want to install? So slide to yes. No SU in apps.
Just tried superboot r2 and that works..nope. SU icon is seen and CPUZ report "yes" to rooted by no SU binaries, and it just quits
Recently i bought this device, i was able to root it using kingroot, yesterday i tried installing the xposed framework, since i didn't have custom recovery i saw a tutorial in youtube explaining how to install the framework without the need of custom recovery (it was a huge mistake), using a combo of busybox and the terminal emulator, the result was a bootloop, i am able to enter the factory recovery but even after wiping the data/cache to factory settings its still stuck on the bootloop. Since i dont have custom recovery i am kinda stuck and without pc at the moment its starting to seem like a lost case, the factory recovery as the option to enable adb, i found a tutorial online but i don't understand anything about batch files and it all seems kinda confusing to me. In the past i was able to unbrick my old phones using stock roms, using odin if i recall right, but since the device is fairly new i am unable to find a stock rom. My questions are,
can i use odin again using a 5.1.1 lollipop normal (rom)?
Is there an easier to follow tutorial on how to use the adb fuction?
Is there a way to instal cwm even in bootloop without the use of adb? Since wiping dalvik cache and fix permissions should fix the problem.
I installed Xposed v86 arm64 successfully using TWRP recovery, after restart, the phone got stuck on a boot loop. i had to go back to recovery and install the uninstall zip. After that process it booted normally and updated the apps. That does mean i cant install or use Xposed on my device or there is something wrong somewhere?
I've been trying to root my Honor 6 Plus PE-TL10. I've unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP. Till there, everything works fine, but as soon as I install SuperSU, my phone won't boot up anymore. It passes the bootloader, but gets stuck at the animation. I've tried different SuperSU versions, clearing the cache and dalvik chache after rooting, and I've even wiped the data partition to see if it would help, but it didn't. I've flashed the most recent firmware version available, namely Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
I got the stock firmware from this site, and I used this tutorial to root my device.
I know how to get out of the bootloop, namely by rebooting to download mode and installing the stock ROM, which I already have on my SD card. I'm looking for a way to root my phone without getting stuck at boot. Does anyone know how I can successfully root my device?
Update:
I've tried the 2.67 and 2.65 versions of SuperSU as well. Unfortunately, they gave the same result. The device gets stuck at the very end of the boot cycle, as it does reach the point where it can transfer data with my computer. I've tried using the Honor 6 Multi Tool, but the program doesn't support the Honor 6 Plus on EMUI 4.0. When I select EMUI 4.0, the program returns to it's main menu without installing anything.
Update:
I've heard that Android 6 doesn't support system rooting, and that systemless rooting should be used instead. I'm now looking for a way to force-install SuperSU as systemless. In my installation logs, it always said that it used system rooting.
use the honor 6 multi tool to root and fix any bootloops its easier, its somewhere on this forum i cant remember where im on supersu 2.67 any higher and it bootloops for me
I've tried that just now, but everytime I select my EMUI version, the program goes back to it's main menu. The first time I started the tool, it gave an error message saying that some file could not be found. Now, it gets stuck at updating.
I've tried selecting EMUI 3.0 instead. It did install the recovery, but my phone restarts every time I try to boot to it.
Until now, I've laways tried the most recent version of SuperSU. I'll try version 2.67. I've also heard of a new superuser package, PHH's Superuser. Do you know if that one works with the Honor 6 Plus?
I've managed to find an answer on my own. Apparently, I needed to install SuperSU as systemless. By default, it installed as system, so I used this tutorial to force-install it as systemless: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/root-systemless-rooting-supersu-2-74-2-t3405772
sorry i didnt get notified when you replied to me. glad you fixed it
what happened with you?
and how did you let your device work again?
did lose all of your data?
1st is i have rooted my phone with Magisk... everything works well after that
but when I tried to install Xposed Framework, it only bootloops.
by the way im on 8.0.0 (Oreo) 41.3.a.2.192
SUMMARY:
what i installed that causes the firstboot loop was this (systemless Xposed):
https://magiskroot.net/install-system-less-xposed-framework-oreo-8/ (the sdk 26)
then when it boot loops, itried to install the regular Xposed (not the systemless):
https://magiskroot.net/download-xposed-framework-for-oreo/ (the sdk 26)
but still bootloops.
the i used the Xposed uninstaller:
http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/uninstaller/xposed-uninstaller-20180117-arm64.zip
still bootloops.
then i searched the net for possible solution:
I restored the boot partition on TWRP... then I used the "uninmod_magisk-v4.zip" on TWRP...
The phone boots... But the root is already lost...
i tried to Install Magisk again. Then it bootloops again.
then i tried to restore the boot partition & install the "uninmod_magisk-v4.zip"--- boots again but no root...
it looks like i need to delete the Xposed Framework files because it looks like its the one having in conflict with the root/magisk.
how do i properly delete Xposed Framework?
i have TWRP back up... before... restored it (except Data partition)...
but still the problem persist...
Bootloop when rooted; No bootloob when not rooted
