Theme icons in settings menu - Huawei P20 Questions & Answers

Hey guys!
I have downloaded (from the Mate 10 thread) and installed various themes on my P20 and noticed that the icons in the settings menu do not change. When browsing the themes with winrar on my PC I can see the theme icons in the settings file but when I apply the theme on my phone the default icons appear.
Has anyone else noticed it?
Does anyone have a clue why this is happening?

Did you ever figure this out? I'm wondering the very same thing...

Theme manager in EMUI 8.1 don't accept all XML images from custom EMUI themes. Settings, status bar, notification and others not supported icon you must change by Substratum.

locating resources within drawable folders for touchwiz themeing

Greetings, I have been working on themeing my device so the quick settings panel and possibly the navigation bar look like the touchwiz settings menu. I am having some issues locating a few resources. 1. I cant find where the wireless and battery information are getting the black bg within the quick settings panel. 2. The black deviders between the quick settings buttons. 3. How to change the text color within the quick settings panel for settings and notifications. And 4. The blueish "ongoing" border/devider color. Also.. I have made several attemts to chage the nav bar colors but have been unsuccessful. Im working with SystemUI.apk, framework-res.apk, and twframework-res.apk. Im currently using a UEUCM13 rom, and andoid version 4.1.2 if it makes a differance. If anyone can provide any help it would be greatly appreciated. I've attached a ss of the missing resources/progress.

Emui 3.1 notification bar colour

Does anyone know how to change the notification bar colour from black to white?
Do you mean the regular emui notification bar? It adapts to the background image you set, so just set a brighter image or edit your current background to include a white bar at the top, though that would look a bit ugly.
If you mean the background when you pull the notification bar down, then you should have a look at custom emui themes, or even make your own somehow.
No i meant the actual expanded notification bar as the black doesn't work well with most apps and huawei uses black font as well when displaying notifs. I only think huawei themes work with stock launcher? And i use nova... Thanks anyway
I think the themes work everywhere, no matter what launcher (at least the notification bar part should). Not all themes include a modified notification bar though, so I think you could try one that definitely does change the notification bar and see it works for you in Nova launcher as well.
I'm attaching a theme I know for sure features a different notification bar for you to try. I also know it's terribly ugly but it's just for testing purposes, once you confirm that it does change the notification bar color for you, we could start disassembling the theme to only take out the interesting parts and adapt them to a different theme after changing the image from greenish to something more white-ish
PS. I had to change the extension to .zip for the board to accept the attachment, please change it to .hwt after you download it and move it into "/sdcard/HWThemes" so the theme manager can find it.

Change lockscreen and status bar icons

Hi everyone!
I found some times ago a post (I don't recall where) on how to change the lockscreen and status bar icons (using the ones from an icon pack). I've done it and loved it since then; the only thing is I don't find that post anymore and I would love to do it again. It involved downloading an actual EMUI theme, renaming the icons and repacking the EMUI theme to use in the Theme app on our Huawei phones.
Does anyone have a link to that post? I would love that!
Thanks a lot !!!

Is it possible to modify theme file to remove round corners from notification boxes?

A link to the dev manual that mentions notification shade mortification that might be relevant are welcome. I could only found those that mention editing icons, wallpapers and colors.
I am not sure what happened, but after installing some EMUI theme (Nougut, I guess..) and some time (maybe reboot?) corners of notifications stopped being roundish!
There's no "remove round corners" option, but the theme editor has an option to choose a different icon pack for your notification. so all you'd need is to download one to your taste from the play store and edit your theme.

Icon shape on EMUI 10

Ok, so, I really like the new EMUI 10 default theme, but since I started using EMUI there is oone whing I completely dislike and that's the messy icon shape of the variuos app. sometimes they are EMUI like, other are completely squared, other are circles...
I noticed that by using some themes, all icons become of the same shape, either those not present on the theme icons folder. So, is there a way to create a theme that just make alll icons same shape (maybe circle)? I tryed to create a theme with just the icon zip file in it, with the various icon_mask, icon_border, icon_* file in it, but while many icons go circle, not all of them do...
What am I missing?
