Hi. I'm using a Verizon XT926 (HD MAXX model) which recently had an issue so I reflashed it with a more recent ROM - tried SlimKat, Resurrection Remix and CM11 unofficial versions. Also, I'm in Europe (Finland) using this.
All had issues with Google Now bar causing crashes quickly after booting (mic issue?), so I went for a PICO install of only basic Google stuff, and manually added the bits I wanted (not bothered with Now anyway, so no problem), and ended up with stable builds. I settled on the CM11 unofficial version in the end as it seemed most stable - cm-11-20160618-UNOFFICIAL-moto_msm8960
The other consistent issue across the ROMs was not getting mobile internet to work. WiFi was always OK, and I got an "E" for Edge connection after booting, and network signal was showing orange and good signal, but once I left the house, and WiFi dropped, the mobile internet never connected. The only way to get it working 100% is to turn off WiFi, reboot the phone, and use ONLY mobile internet (not fast, but on an unlimited plan so not an issue, thankfully!)
So, anyone else had this WiFi/internet issue, and is there a fix?
Is there a better ROM anyone can recommend as a daily driver?
Thanks!

I keep getting data drops where it will drop mobile data completely and wont keep a connection with wifi. It still says its connected with wifi but it wont transfer any data, with mobile data it wont even show a data connection on the status bar.
I hear this is a common bug that a lot of people have, I get a good connection on stock 2.3.3 so I am currently stuck. I was running 1.9.9 MIUI and have this issue on anything else I try.
I loaded a stock build.prop w/ MIUI and it killed my cell network connection, no connection at all and it froze on reading SIM, but my wifi connection would not drop, and was flawless. Is it possible it is a setting in the build.prop that is being added or overlooked in roms?
I am having this same problem.
I recently purchased a G2x and installed the latest stable CM7 right off the bat, and started experiencing random drops to the EDGE network. This and a dead zone in the center of my house led me to believe my phone had a reception issue.
I have flashed back to the stock rom and my dead zone is gone, completely, and the data drops stopped.
Google searching hasn't led me to any answers and my next stop will be the CM forums.
Hi ive posted this in cyanogenmod forums, but maybe someone here experienced similiar issue:
Recently i got myself OnePlus One /China version/. At the moment i have it flashed with CM11 Nightly 01072014.
Everything works fine but the GPS. I am having some odd iggues with it. While it locks correct when im at home (WiFi connection enabled), when i leave home and start using navigation software, be it google maps or anything else, after i go out of reach from Wifi and mobile swaps to Mobile data transfer (HSPDA+) gps loses fix and cant get it locked back up anymore.
When i disable mobile data, it locks back up... so it seems like the issue is connected to mobile data transfer. Its pretty annoying since im using maps that require being 'online' which pretty much forces me to use offline maps.
Anyone ever faced similiar issue? Dont see how it could be connected to my carrier (T-Mobile Poland) since few days back when i was still on my older ACE2, all gps functions on that phone worked fine whilst being on mobile data etc. Only difference might be it wsnt HSPDA+ cappable....
Suggestions? This really is doing my head in, ive been googling around like crazy, trying all kinds of GPS 'fixes' but issue remains and most likely involves that mobile data transfers somehow.
I too am having this problem, what Im going to do is just flash a new radio (baseband) from the stock CM11S rom or maybe another rom and hope for the best. Remember ALWAYS make a back up before you do any mods to your oneplus.
Hi. This issue is driving me crazy. I've been looking for more information but I've only found this thread, a CyanogenMod jira bug (look for issue BACON-115, I can't post links yet), and an issue at Android Open Source Project issue tracker (look for Issue 72311: GPS losing satellites - Nexus 5 - 4.4.3 and 4.4.4)
I first found the jira bug, so I tried the gps.confg settings referenced there, after that the issue was slightly (very little actually) less annoying but the GPS still got lost very frequently, I believe those settings just improved locking/fixing times a bit.
Then I started tinkering with my settings while driving (in stop lights of course, not while actually moving ) and I noticed that as soon as I turned mobile data OFF, the GPS locked immediately and never got lost from work to home (a 30 min drive).
So I started querying Google for things like "GPS lost while mobile data on", after about an hour I got the bug in code.google.com, which suggests it's only happening while 3G data is on, not while 2G. And it is, I can get a constant GPS fix while on 2G. The bug thread hinted about flashing different versions of the radios to find a version that works.
I remembered that with OPO firmware 25R this issue was far less annoying so I went ahead and flashed only the radios from 25R. It was not completely fixed, but my yesterday commute got significantly less GPS signal loss, and when it got loss it took less time to fix again, which I attribute to the gps.conf from the jira bug.
TL;DR
I've experienced this issue with 30O and 33R firmwares and with CM Nightlies (which I'm using right now), but slightly less annoying with 25R. Flashing 25R radios and using the modified gps.conf alleviated the issues a lot but I still get frequent GPS signal lost. Turning off 3G will definitely make GPS fix/lock constantly.
I wonder if there are older radios that could get rid of the issue completely (and what drawbacks using older radios could bring), meanwhile I'm using Tasker to fall back to 2G as soon as I'm connected to my car's bluetooth AND Waze is opened, so that I can get a constant GPS fix/lock while driving.
I think this is an Android 4.4.3/4.4.4 issue, please vote here so that google takes notice of this.
Ok so I have two of the universal Moto G LTE . We were running the unofficial cyanogen 11 perfectly for afew months and on one phone became unable to connect to our home wifi, shortly afterwards the other had the same issue. Flashed a LP rom but wasn't suited to the stability of it atm so settled on Slim-peregrine-4.4.4.build.9.0-OFFICIAL-8310 with Slim-Addons-full_gapps.4.4.4.build.9-20150107, and the issue was gone. However on the other phone after a wipe and clean install of the same rom and gapps the issue persisted and further would not connect to the wifi or it mobile data though still has perfect signal for calls and mms.
I'm no tech wizard but I have tried the following;
PHONE BASED
Flashed every kernel and every rom in the Moto G LTE forums (Yes ALL but not every combination)
Tried variations on the airplane mode
Fastboot erase modems1&2
Reverted to stock RETUS_XT1045_4.4.3_KXB21.14-L1.23-4_cid9_CFC.xml.zip via manual mfastboot cmnds & MotoFlash
Changed filesystems
Connected via direct IP (still no internet though it says connected)
ROUTER BASED
Reset it (Duh)
Tried a different router
Enabled/Disabled MAC Filtering
Once I realized the mobile data was out to though stopped messing with the router.
Currently it is running the above mentioned SlimKat and works wonderfully except no mobile data even with the correct APN info and fails to authenticate wifi. I'm at a loss, did the phones ethernet chip or w/e it is die maybe?
I'll provide any logs asked for if I can get them... It's my wife's phone that is having the problem meaning I really need to fix this or suck it up and buy a new one. Appreciate any help in advance and if not I understand, thats the game when messin with this stuff as a novice.
As an update, upon the monthly renewal of the data mobile data is still working. Just the WiFi is still not working.

Ever since I got Lollipop on my Nexus 5, I have had major wifi issues. The wifi will randomly drop and only come back if i switch wifi on and off. Over the course of 2+ months, this has gotten increasingly aggravating. This happens both at work and at home.
Symptoms: while using my phone, all of a sudden the network stops working. This can be in the form of games, web browsing, or anything else. All of a sudden there is just a network timeout. If I disable wifi, the cellular network has always worked fine (so long as I have reception of course).
Things I have tried:
1. Flashing stock with a full wipe
2. Flashing a CM12 nightly with a full wipe - I just tried CM12 in the hopes that they may have had some form of bugfix. I had the same issues.
3. Setting the phone to 2.4ghz only.
4. Disabling PMF setting in WIFI config file.
5. Downgraded to Kitkat. I just flashed CM11. I havent used it too much yet but it seems like it is having the same issue.
I am at my wit's end. Is there anything else I can try? Please help!
At first CM11 seemed to help, but after using it for longer it is exhibiting the same WIFI issues. Any suggestions? My phone is quickly approaching paperweight territory...
I was curious if anyone else experienced or has familiarity with this issue. I've been dealing with this since I got the phone almost a year ago. Sometimes when my phone has been idling and I return to check something, the data connection will be unusable. The 3G icon will be visible but internet unavailable (4G works fine, but I prefer to have my phone set to 3G only). It's possible to wait 30-60 seconds for the connection to reset itself, or under settings, switching "Cellular data" or Airplane mode also restores it. Aside from that, the connection is mostly reliable & I don't have any usability issues once data has restored.
I've always ran CM & LOS on this phone so I haven't tried using a stock ROM (solution suggested in an older thread... Mobile data cutting out). I've also flashed the latest Lollipop Radio Firmware (fsg & modem). Thanks for any help.
Edit: I think this may have had something to do with visual voicemail being enabled. I've since switched to AT&T where VVM hasn't worked at all (they suggest using their app) and the problem has gone away.
