Accidentally uninstalled incallui. - Honor 6X Questions & Answers

I'm really a noob regarding android and uninstalled the incallui using adb. Please help me. Device is a gr5 2017 running bll-l22c636b386

I don't have a BLL-L22C636 device but a BLN-L21, so i can't help.
But members like @shashank1320, @Wajira93 or @siddhrsh should be on this build if on latest. Maybe they can help you

I don't have BLL-L22c636 device
May be following method will work
Download full firmware using firmware finder then open update.app with Huawei extractor and extract system.img then flash through adb
Or
Try dload method to restore to stock

Did you try dload method for full stock restore? Try once and feedback. If you are not aware on dload, there is quick guide in my signature.

Ouch, i remembered bad brother :silly: sorry for calling you in cause for nothing. I mentioned users who could provide a valid extracted incallui package in way to avoid that the OP had to reflash whole firmware, because it's a bore to use dload for everything

Hello, thanks for the reply.
I did a search in google, and tried that first link you posted. The iRoot method wanted to put some weird stuff inside my phone, and even the root wasn't succesfull. And when I look it up in this website, how to root the Mate 9 version, I can see it's quite a process, so I guess those blogs are just scaming us.

It's weird you haven't received any update. B130 is from January. There is a new B141 from August, so that might be coming your way soon. The B3xx seem to be EMUI 5. I can build a twrp for you, but you'll have to test it. You could probably try the one released for Mate 9, it might work. If not you just flash back stock B130 recovery.
I'll be able to build it tonight, at the movies now with kids

You'd have to use the Flash and rebrand guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108. that one has modified stock recoveries. However, none for Lite. I could check and compare Lites recovery to mate 9, if it's not too different it should be easy to make the changes needed. Else you could ask @mankindtw nicely to make it

I'll just check and see what mankindtw did in the other recoveries. It's just a few bytes in 2 files to change. So I'll basically compare your recovery to mine and/or the others in that flash thread and see if there's much difference. If it is you'll have to ask mankindtw as he might know what to look for.
Edit: I will check when I get home

It's too different. If it was just changing the bytes I could do it, but file size is almost half of my recovery image. Lol.
However, you should be able to use TWRP for P9 Lite. It seems to be basically the same device, both are named hi6250 (compared fstab, they're identical and named fstab.hi6250 ).

It's not for sure. I'm just saying the P9 Lite and Mate 9 Lite seem to be identical. So you'll have to test. lol
In case it doesn't work you can just flash back stock recovery.
It's the same if I were to build it, it's not certain it would work as I can't test it myself.
But you should probably wait for mankindtw to patch the recovery image.
And if you install that TWRP, it will probably be in chinese by default.
you can look at section 2.1 here https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-twrp-root-t3405701
to change it to english. If you'll just use it to update to EMUI 5.0 it doesn't really matter.
And when/if you update to EMUI 5.0, you'll want to flash this TWRP instead: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/development/twrp-t3588356
If you want TWRP that is.

@mankindtw
I have been having issues with my phone, so I'm not sure if you received my previous messages or not (cannot find them in sent PMs), but my name is Vince, and need some MAJOR help...
I was referred to you by someone by the XDA name of ante0, and he mentioned to me in passing that you are the master at creating modified stock recoveries. I was hoping that you'd be able to help me out?
I just recently bought a Huawei Mate 9 Lite (BLL-L23)
that has old software on it. The current build is BLL-L23C605B130, the custom version is CUSTC605D001, and EMUI is 4.1; however, I know that there are builds that are much more recent. My phone, for the life of me, just simply cannot upgrade to the recent firmware via official means.
I recently heard of Firmware Finder and found the latest firmware for my device - but, it tells me under Check Firmware Status, "Firmware not approved for installation." I also heard that there is a way to install that firmware by bypassing authorization.
I would really appreciate it if you would be so kind to create for me a modified stock recovery for my device.
I don't know any other developers who can do so, and I'm definitely not a developer myself, haha. I can't explain why my device won't update, because I know that the most recent build is B364? If I flash the software by bypassing authorization, will everything still work perfectly?
Thank you very much, Mankindtw, for your consideration... I would be extremely grateful for your help, my friend.

Hello! I gave up...
I followed some steps, reading topics from this site.
I could unlock my bootloader (now everytime I power my phone I got a message reminding me that xD)
But I couldn't install the twrp, tested some adb softwares, but nothing... always got some kind of error. And I never get a clear explanation about those chinese .exe softwares to install twrp and those stuff.

Step 2:: download this firmware zip it was FRD-L19C432B131 --->http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=92123&version=360403&siteCode=uk-h
Step 3:: open Huawei Multi-tool, there select option 7.changing vendor/ country and the select honor 8 (option 8)
Step 4::there select option 2.changing model vendor/country and
Step 5:: in this option 9.FRD-L19 EU hw/eu

step 7:: now there is some instruction follow, that copy the update.app which was downloaded earlier my link extract that. and paste the UPDATE.APP in the location of your Huawei multi tool\UZC\2ZIP
Step 8 :: now enter the firmware number and it took aprox. 10 min to complete and a window will pop up, there is zip u created, copy the zip to your phone and flash it using TWRP, Do a factory wipe before flashing the zip using twrp.
Then, YOU ARE SUCCESSFULLY REBRANDED YOUR PHONE( tested on my device successfully rebranded to FRD-L19 )

Looking for Official Support [Mate 9 Lite - BLL-L23]

Hey, everyone,
I just bought a new Mate 9 Lite [BLL-L23] and would like some help with how to make it my own. I am familiar with other devices - but, not the BLL-L23.
I am very appreciative, my friends! Here's what I'd like to know:
1. Does anyone know when we'll get Android Oreo (or, at the least, Android Nougat)?
-- I am currently running 6.0; EMUI 4.1.
2. Is there an official support forum for the BLL-L23?
3. Does anyone know how to root the BLL-L23 using Magisk or Chainfire (which is better)?
4. Is there a recent TWRP recovery available?
5. What else should I do to take full advantage of my device?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING, EVERYONE!

Mate 9 Lite is a rebranded H6x, OpenKirin's TWRP works fine. You can also use Firmware Finder for updating. Magisk works fine too. I think all Custom ROMs on this forum should work. I'm planning to flash RROS but I'm waiting for some bugfixes.
The only thing I suggest you is, if you want to update your Stock ROM, you MUST flash the right ROM for your device.

Okay, does stock recovery have to be modified? I don't have a modified stock recovery for my BLL-L23

Not modified but pure stock.

Does anyone have a stock boot.img for the FRD-L14?

I stupidly flashed the wrong boot.img and i'm stuck in a boot loop. Anyone have or know where to find the right one?

I don't think you can still check sadly...
Maybe the boot.img doesn't change through the firmwares but i'm not sure about this...
I would suggest you to do a rollback to get to the stock firmware
But wait, maybe a more competent person will have a better solution for you.
By curiosity were on Android 6.0 or 7.0?

Android 7.0. Will doing a rollback wipe data?
Yes, doing a rollback will wipe all your data...
I guess your phone was up to date?

It was emui 5.0 and Android 7.0, so yes.
I have the date of manufacture on the box, could that help finding the firmware?
Ok. So try this one and tell me if it worked

Didn't work :/
Sadly, I expected it a bit...
What you need to do is to find the latest firmware for your phone (supposingly your phone was up to date) and then extract the boot.img with HuaweiUpdateExtractor.
Otherwise you need to do a rollback and get back to stock firmware...
Also you can wait for someone with better acknowledge than me to help you.
Good luck!

Hi:
This is an old post, but just curious about the firmwares for frd-l14 at romfirmware.com. Is it a trustworthy site? Seems a little sketchy. Wanted to make sure before I download anything.
Thanks

Flashing US Stock Rom on Chinese Honor 6X

If this question has been answered, I do apologize. I did search but could not find it.
I just bought an Honor 6X online and discovered that it is a Chinese version ( Model BLN-AL10, Build BLN-AL10C00B379, EMUI Version 5.0.1, Android 7.0). Is it possible to flash the US stock firmware without bricking the phone. If possible a little guidance will go a long way.
Thank you.
Not as of now. We have files for Indian version but need to check for them as well as we lost somewhere on the forum.
I am struggling with same

At last, I got my phone unlocked, installed TWRP and rooted. Now I am exploring rebranding to US version. In my research, I found US files in this website "http://www.androhippo.com/huawei-honor-6x" and downloaded the US L24C567B360 "update.zip" and "update_full_BLN_L24_hw_usa.zip". However, I wanted to ask you if you are familiar with this website and the 2 referenced files.
I can't flash using the dload method because my phone does not read the microsd card (defective). Can I flash using the MiFlash app?
Thank you.

We need sd card here. On some cases with my Honor 5C, it worked without sd card and dload was working with internal memory bht cant confirm as others have never reported this behaviour

You are right, I tried "dload" from internal storage, didn't work (I am trying to find someone here in the US to fix my defective microsd card reader). When you have a moment, please let me know what you think of "androhippo" and if I could trust the stock roms they listed. I am not sure whether the US rom they listed is full or not (it is a 3.5 GB file).
Thank you.

Sorry for late response on this.
I am not sure on how can you debrand this to US version as I dont have the files yet, mainly OEMINFO file. Once I get it, I can guide you step by step. in fact there is a guide in my signature to do it the best way. I have published this guide yesterday and of you want you can debrand to Indian version BLN-L22.
For US version these 3 files are required (Plus the oeminfo file which couldn't find yet) but 2 of them are same as you downloaded but through a different channel.
Main ZIp- http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1279/g104/v82849/f1/full/update.zip
Data file- http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...BLN-L24_hw_usa/update_full_BLN-L24_hw_usa.zip
This below may not be required to debrand but in case you face any issues after debranding then you can use this.
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...49/f1/full/public/update_data_full_public.zip
Once I get the oeminfo file, I can 100% debrand your phone to US version.
refer this for the simplest steps you could do debrand.
