Notifix
Content Aware Notification Management!
Hassle free categorization of notifications based on its content and type.
Notifix uses app type and processes notification content using machine learning to automatically group notifications into their respective categories - not just based on the app's name. Not just another notification manager!
You can later check those grouped notifications without losing content and the link that the notification carries.
It is powered by TensorFlow™ and is continuously being developed. Feel free to pour in your suggestions!
It automatically categorizes notifications into either of the 5 categories: Primary/Promotions/News/Messages/Social, and they can be separately viewed without losing the deep-link that the original notification carried.
Download: Google Play - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grenadeguy.notifix
Feel free to drop in your views, recommendations, and suggestions!

Permissions explained:
I have given a brief explanation in the Play Store listing.
Notification access: To read incoming notifications and categorize them.
Usage access: To see last used application and clear old notifications.
Contacts: To skip processing SMS/Messages if the sender is in contacts.
Phone: To find the default dialer and skip processing/grouping its notification.
I store the already determined app type and live notifications locally to make it easy to sort. There was also a plan to display an archive of cleared notifications (not carrying the deep-link). So storage is also needed (SQL databases basically).
Hoping to find alternate ways to accomplish those requirements so that those sensitive permissions aren't needed.

Sounds interesting!

v0.95 live:
Change log:
* Category fixes
* Minor UI changes

Just installed, very good idea!
However, I found a bug, google play app updated notifications get lost.

Nice app, Just installed. A black theme or forced black text would be nice, see screenshot.
I use substratum Swift black (i guess that's the problem why text is White).
Thanks for the app!

In the screenshot, it's saying updated 1 app Google Docs on the first line, the second line it's saying updating Google Docs, which was supposed to be disappeared after the first line appears.
And once this happens, newer notifications from Google Play will not be grouped under this group anymore.
Hope you can understand what I'm saying.

Oops....Thank you. Will check that.

why is the "Read contacts" permission needed?
and if possible, could you elaborate on the following 2 permissions as its the first time i saw them in apps?
- "run the application's scheduled background work"
- "update component usage statistics"
thx..

Sounds interesting, but any chance of making the account linking optional? The app won't even start unless you provide a Google account, which is something i'd rather not do until at least after i test the app to see if it's for me or not.

I can make it. But logging in is currently needed for the app to function properly (it's also used for easy categorization inside the app other than just saving your preferences).
I'll look for ways to do that. Hopefully within 1 or 2 updates I can do that.

Hi!
I'm testing your app, it looks quite good. But I have a problem: it doesn't show the message category. It hides all the mails and messages of Telegram and WhatsApp without showing anything. The rest of categories are right.

[2.1+][APP] Text Notify

This app is simple but useful for people that heavily use full screen apps (games/browsers/ect). It gives a nice little notification that shows the text message/email you just received, allowing you to decide if it's worth quitting your app to reply to it (see picture), even if you're in another app! You can turn the notifications on and off via the main screen. The best part of it is you can play and the notification will not interfere with your touch on the game. It might also have the simplest options menu.
FEATURE LIST:
Works with third party SMS applications
Now supports K9 Mail (requires K9 Mail for functionality)
Shows the sender (name from contacts list or number if contact doesn't exist)
Shows the sender and contents of the message
Low profile
Doesn't interfere with the touch interface of whatever task you are doing
Easy to turn on or off just by the touch of a checkbox
Lightweight
No more quitting Angry Birds just to see that someone texted you "lol"
Works in portrait and landscape orientations
Permissions explained:
Read SMS: So that it can read the text to show you
Read contacts: so that it can see if anyone in your contacts shares the same number and the text sender
Please report any bugs to me.
P.S. I know this is a VERY simplistic app and may seem pointless. If you feel that way that is fine, however I have had a lot of people that laughed at it originally tell me they can't use any full screen app without and they never turn it off. So I simply ask you give constructive criticism. Thank you!

This was just what I was looking for mate, testing now seems to be working just fine
Thanks, appreciate the download and feedback.

Unfortunately Google currently doesn't allow outside apps access to Gmail emails or the standard email client. If they change this stance, I will update asap.

Crazy, I was literally just thinking it would be cool to have something exactly like this on my SGS2 when I was playing Star Diamonds Capture... it's an online multiplayer game that you can't really back out of unless you want to risk losing the match, but I always want to make sure I'm not ignoring an important text.
Thanks, I will let you know how it runs and if you stay active as a dev I will support your efforts as much as possible.

Does not support qvga phones and tablets.
If you encountered some crash issue, please don't uninstall it right away, because I can see it , I'll try my best to resolve it.
Coolands for Twitter is a revolutionary twitter client. It has many unique features, gives you the best mobile twitter experience you never imagined before.
*The first unique feature is Real-Time.
You can’t find any refresh button in this app, because you absolutely don’t need to. Every time you open it, you’ll get the latest tweets and while you’re reading, you’ll get incoming tweets in Real-Time. So if your friend mentioned you, you can reply instantly.
*The second unique feature is Avatar Indicator.
Avatar Indicator is small avatars showed on the title bar to indicate that you’ve got new message/tweet/mention. Since it’s real-time, you’ll keep getting incoming tweets while you’re reading your older timeline, Avatar-Indicator will let you know who’s tweet you’ve just got, and decide whether to check it out right away.
*The third unique feature is Direct Link
I think it is obviously the most intuitive and convenient way to open a link. When you want to open a link, just click it in the time line . You can also click a username to open a profile window, click a hash tag to open a search result window. Different kind of links displayed in different colors, you can change it to whatever color you like.
The fourth unique feature is Smart Bookmark
Have you ever experienced this scenario? When you are reading your home timeline, the app notified you that you’ve got some new tweets, you click “go-to-top” button to read the newest tweets, and then you want to get back to the previous position to continue your reading. How can you do this? In other twitter clients you have to scroll down all the way to find where you were, a lot of time wasted. But in this app, “go-to-top” button will appear when you scrolling up, click it, you can got to top, read the newest tweets. After that when you scrolling down, Smart Bookmark button will appear at the corner. Click it, you can get back to exactly where you were.
*The fifth unique feature is User Level Notification
Notification for all your new tweets is meaningless, if you following more than a few users, you’ll get new tweets all the time. What if you only want to be notified when someone you most care about posted a new tweet? In this app, it’s easy. You can change your friend’s notification setting directly in his/her profile screen. You can also set different notification ringtone for your friends respectively. So when you heard a notification ringtone, you’ll know who he/she is without the need to open your phone. And you can manage all the enabled User-Level-Notification settings in one place.
*The sixth unique feature is Sleep Time.
It’s not very special but I think it’s important. You probably don’t want to be waked up by any kind of notification noise when you sleep. You can set your sleep time, so you don’t receive any kind of notifications when you sleep.
*The seventh unique feature is Last Position.
This app doesn’t save all your older tweets when you exit. Every time you launch it, the newest tweets show up on the screen. But you can retrieve your position at which you exited last time, and continue your reading, by select ‘Last position’ menu option.
Coolands for Twitter has most of the basic twitter client features, like post/delete tweets, retweet, reply, quote, send/delete direct message, subscribe/unsubscribe lists, follow/unfollow user, multiple account support (up to 3), append picture with your tweets, mention auto complete, recent search auto complete, etc.
Please give me feedbacks if you have tried it, and I PROMISE to reply all your emails.
*1.11 update
*Add static image notifier on the top of the screen, removed text notifier.
*1.12 update
*fixed silent ringtone issue.
*removed picture resize options, pictures will be resized to proper size automatically before upload.
*1.20 update
*Refined UI
*Add 'Last position' menu option. it is used to retrieve your position at which you exited last time, and continue your reading.

I'm sorry for my user who use 256M RAM phone, I use Samsung Vibrant to test which has 512M RAM, I should get one.

app has crazy potential. won't lie. but it has some few issues. most users won't pick up on the swipe to change screens. at least i think they won't. I could be wrong. There were also a few spelling mistakes in it, but overall was great. With a little polish this could overtake plume as my go to twitter app.

Of course. Swipe all the way to the left and "Favorites" is misspelled. The help screen has some minor stuff. If you want I can rewrite it all, but I'll have to do it after I wake up. When you compose, the hint is missing a space between what's happening, and the twitter user name. I also had a force close but i've been unable to replicate it so it might have just been a one time thing. But the more i play with it, the more I like it. Thank you!
You are so kind, I'll correct them in the next version.
And I definitely need you to rewrite the help stuff.
And have you notice the lanscape mode composing screen? You can type in lanscape mode and still see the number of characters, and buttons. I think its very convenient. And I didn't mention it on market description.

Maybe you just searched "coolands", and its not showed on the first page.

Thank you for this free app. I'll try it, seems awesome.
Great app other than the small issues mentioned. I'm confused about why there is an update interval in settings if it is real time.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
that is background refresh interval for notifications, its confusing indid, i should change the name.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
1.02 update
fixed some crash issue.
fixed some spelling error.
And it's not All-Time Real-Time, if you exit the app, and notification is enabled, it won't notify you in Real-Time.
I could do that, but that would drain your battery heavily.
will be trying this out in a while.
thanks!
I need more feedbacks please.
I feel depressed about not getting replys.

[APP][4.0+][v1.3] Identiconizer! - Identicons For Your Contacts, [XPOSED] Optional

About:
This is a port of ChameleonOS' contact identicons feature (available in the JellyBean versions) with some additional features and fixes.
When enabled, new contacts will be assigned a unique identicon instead of the default picture.
Features:
Use identicons for newly created contacts. A service is normally used to detect new contacts. If you use the Xposed Framework, you can enable Identiconizer! as a module instead to integrate the application into the system.
Choose from five different identicon styles: Retro, Contemporary, Spirograph, Dot Matrix and Gmail.
Specify the identicon sizes, from 96x96 up to 720x720 (256x256 max on ICS.)
Choose a custom background color for the created identicons.
Create identicons for all contacts without a photo in one go.
Remove identicons from all contacts that have one set.
Contacts list to add/remove Identicon to/from wanted contacts only.

FAQ:
Q: Will this work on XYZ?
A: It should. Try It And See™ - if there are any issues, please report them.
Q: Is this on the Play Store/Xposed repo/…?
A: No. Uploading to the Xposed repo makes no sense since this isn't primarily an Xposed module. I'm not interested in uploading to the Play Store right now as I see no benefit (added support, more unhelpful users, I prefer a forum for discussions, etc). You can subscribe to this thread for updates, the title will be updated to reflect the current version.
Q: Can we have random cartoons/different icons set?
A: Cartoons and icon sets will not be implemented. You're welcome to offer suggestions that can be implemented without needing image files (so basically, anything with simple geometrical shapes and/or text.)
Q: I found a problem. How can I report it?
A: Explain what your problem is - what have you done? What is the expected result? What do you get instead? In other words: include a detailed description of the problem and instructions on how to reproduce it. Also mention what Android ROM/version you're running, and include a logcat if possible (this is necessary if I can't personally reproduce the issue.)

As it's very clearly explained in the OP, the Xposed module is used to create identicons for new contacts - just that. If you don't enable it, a service is used instead.
Read the OP for the answer to your question. Or just open the app.

Yes I know it is clearly explained, I have read it. After first using it I tried to remove them, that didn't work, I then tried to change them to another design, that also did nothing, which is why I asked whether there is a way to get rid of them.

They're normal contact photos, so you can remove them as you'd remove any other contact photo: edit the contact, tap the photo thumbnail, tap remove. It might vary a bit depending on your contacts app.
What do you mean by "didn't work" and "did nothing"? Are none of your contacts affected? Can you provide a logcat?
Quick update, 1.0.1: the Xposed module wasn't working properly as I had the wrong package name entered (renamed the package at the last minute, relied on the IDE to change it too much.)
Note that this will cause your settings to be reset, too.
So glad I stumbled across this. Thanks so much man :highfive:
Is there anyway to get the default contact pictures set up similarly to how it looks in Hello SMS? It puts the letter(s) of the contact in a colored bubble. Very similar to how email/gmail do. Would love to have this across the phone's contacts when no picture is available. But not sure how to go about it.

Then choose a smaller size. Identiconizer! allows you to pick any supported size by your device, but it can't do anything if it's too large for most apps to handle. Same thing for the storage space, better keep an eye on that if you want to use huge sizes.

Awesome module! I love it, especially as someone that gets super annoyed when my contacts don't have a picture...
Don't know if you're aware though, but it doesnt seem to create icons for contacts imported from my linkedin account. I dont know how other accounts and contact information is stored, so I'm not sure if this is an option but it would be cool if you could make it work!

I've been doing this for almost a year now. I just use icons from the icon pkgs I dl.
Many images to choose from including letters, symbols... and most are perfect size.
Wow, this looks vaguely familiar.
Nice to see open sourced software getting some additional love.

This is real happy
First little bugfix update. You are welcome with all issues and requests!
Does this work only for contacts which are already in my address book or can I use this for calls to/from numbers which are not in my address book?

No difference between contacts from address book or any others, phone number is used as key.
Very good app. Thanks a lot!
Could you please explain the need for this permission for me please:
send emails to guest without owners knowledge......

It is WRITE_CALENDAR permission. Required for the calendar search and events creation. I do not know why the google name it so. Happy to see new permission model in Marshmallow, - app has support for it.
waw, this is just what I was looking for.
I've been using Call Informer, but isn't updated for a long time ago, and ... most of the times it doesn't work, so this is what I need.
but ... I think it should display all selected fields ( see image below), but I see only notes. Second try I saw also email. Am I doing something wrong?
Also, can this app display notes included on my contacts details?
Thank you for this app, anyway, I'll start trying from now on ...
I don't typically use the native dialer and my carrier number. Instead, 95% of my calls are made/received through Hangouts. Will this work with Hangouts? If not, can it be implemented?
This app is a great idea, by the way!

HappyID should show all available information if android address book contact has one of course. On Marshmallow app should has right permissions available for access the address book. Please try to reinstall (please do not forget to backup notes first) or kill app, maybe something goes wrong.

r4 is the latest version. same as on GP.
I understand what you use the other permissions for, but what do you need/ use the following permissions for?
Calendar:
* read calendar events plus confidential information
* add or modify calendar events and send email to guests without owners' knowledge
Other:
* full network access
* view network connections
This is definately an app I would pay for if I can get a clear understanding of the reason for the seemingly unnecessary permissions, especially the full network access permission.

Calendar for the nearest event and to add new events. Network access for Evernote sync, crash reporting (fabric.io) and google analytics.

Thanks. That was the answer I was afraid of. As it is now, the Hangouts incoming call screen is abysmal.
Good luck with the awesome app!!
I've had the desire to have an application like this this about 4 months ago.
And it's a pretty good implementation! Do you think it's possible to show the last exchange/sent/received SMS between you and the caller/person you are dialing out. I feel that this would be a tremendous help.
Cheers on the great app. :good:

This one is on list, but I should solve the puzzle how to show a lot of data on a small window first. I have done some experiments with scrollbars, dynamic font, collapse/expand etc. Unsatisfied, yet.
Works great

[APP][4.4+]SQLite Database Editor

SQLite Database EditorDatabase read and editHi all, this is my new app.
Let me know what do you think about!
PLAY STORE DOWNLOAD
Open and modify your SQL databases directly from your device.
For ROOT users it is also possible to modify the databases in the system memory, having directly available the list of installed applications with the relative databases.
Especially useful as an aid to the development of an application that uses a SQLite database, which will be graphically visible and editable directly from the device.

Nice app!
Hi, thanks for the app
Do you plan to release the source ?
Thanks for the app, Dev.
well done!
powerful & simple to use sql editor.
?
Requests:
1. Main screen should have a list of the recently opened DBs, including a FAB to open a new one.
2. in "App list" screen (typo: should be "apps"), have the checkbox of "Hide system app" (typo: should be "apps") in the toolbar. No need to take this space. It's not that common to turn it on&off.
3. Support landscape mode
4. Allow sorting (and remember the sorting) of the apps. To me, the most common sorting would be by update or by install.
5. The app already has ads (banner ads). Interstitial ads are annoying... Maybe offer a reward video instead, that will appear once (or rarely) ? It's annoying to see a full screen ad each time I open a DB... There are already free apps (even without any ads) that show DB files, including within other apps, though I'm not sure about editing...

Which free apps (even without any ads) that show DB files do you use?
I like the clean, simple UI of this app. It now replaces my previous SQL app.
One "bug": when adding a new row to a table, the list of columns can be scrolled up and down to see all of them, but if you've tapped in one of the entry fields, the keyboard pops up and now you can no longer scroll down to see the last columns (they are covered by the keyboard).
Essentially, the scrolling in the Add view doesn't cater for the reduced view when the keyboard is showing.

Thanks.
Could you also include an About section in Settings that, at least, shows the version. I'd suggest that the About section contains the privacy, libraries, version, and contact items - see how YouTube does it.

There was an old one that isn't available anymore which worked well. Sadly I can't find it anymore.
But searching for "sqlite" on the Play Store shows you multiple free apps.
One example is :

I see.
But there are others. Even for PC :
https://sqlitebrowser.org/dl/
And this one is truly free, without ads.
It's even open sourced, I think:
https://github.com/sqlitebrowser/sqlitebrowser
EDIT: found the free, no-ads app that I told you about:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=oliver.ehrenmueller.dbadmin
Sadly it's not available anymore, but I can still download it.
Attached APK of it.
It's very easy to use, shows recently opened DB files, and all with minimal steps (all on main screen).
It would be useful to have a history of recently opened DBs. Will you add this feature in the future?
