Hi there,
I just got my hands on the new OnePlus 6. It's surely a great device, it's a beast! So, I wanted to have it rooted. I downloaded the latest TWRP for it, flashed it but I can't really install Magisk. It gives me Access Denied error. I also can't mount System (it gives errors with red letters) from the Monut menu.
I have the Mi A1 for quite some time now and when it had similar issues Formatting Data was the key. I tapped Format Data on my OP6, typed "yes", confirmed, clicked Reboot>Recovery, flashed Magisk and it worked. The only problem is that now it gives me bootloop. I forgot to backup my Boot image in TWRP. Help me please!! I can't find fastboot images for it anywhere!!! :crying::crying::crying::crying:
I'm currently stuck at the boot logo:

I really like the "Droid" from AndroidCentral so I read a tutorial and made a nice clean one
I matted it on top of the stock black default, and I am very happy with the results.

As usual just drop it on the root of the SD-Card and boot into bootloader for the prompt to flash. I believe you need to have a compatible H-Boot but im not sure.
Anyways enjoy. I may do some more later in the nintendo theme of things!

I like it!!
Works and looks great...nice job!!
wow
Very nice, first time i flash a custom splash without using adb shell....thanks buddy!
np, i actually lost it, was really glad it was still in this thread lol. YAY!
Despite all the good posts on here I have been unable to get my phone out of a boot loop, and am now quite desperate for help please!
If anyone can point me in the direction of a rom or kernel that will definitively work on my phone I will be eternally grateful
It was ok until I decided to unlock bootloader and root it.
Unlock bootloader went well, as did flashing TWRP and also CWM – I have a suspicion that it was rooting with OneClickRoot caused the problem.
After over a day of failure I discovered how to do ADB Sideload at this thread: I used CM11 I got from this thread: and also tried a Stock one from here:
sadly nothing worked, and I'm now afraid of filling my phone storage with large files. I have added some screen shots of my failed attempts with TWRP & CWM
they both fail, and TWRP does warn me not to reboot as I have no OS installed, but I had to keep on trying.
Another weird thing is that I cannot always reboot to recovery from the Hboot screen and have to re-flash a recovery image each time.

Go to the "Custom Bootsplash Screen" Thread from JazonX and download the ZIP file, now open it with 7-ZIP (or WinRAR, WinZip, ...) and change the Image with the Image. Please press Thanks, if it helped you!
I'm not providing the original Splash Screen, you should have a Backup!!!
PS: The Google Logo is at the end centred
PPS: Only tested on APG

I know that the boot splash address is tight to the bootloader. And new bootloader have tendancy to sometimes changes the adresses. Therefore the bootsplash is not always compatible with newer bootloaders.
So guys if anyone tried it on BH6, please share you knowledge
Hi All,
Hope this is the right forum...
I have a Pixel 4a (5G). I've tried flashing Android 12 about 10 different ways, but no matter what I do settings shows Android 11. I've tried using the dev flash tools website ( https://flash.android.com/preview/dp1.1) , I've tried the manual download / install from https://developer.android.com/about/versions/12/download .... No matter what, I'm still on Android 11. Am I missing something obvious?
Thanks

All you have to do is to download the device factory image for bramble from HERE and flash it using flash-all.bat, having your device in fastbtoot mode.
If you want to retain your user data, remove the "-w" from the bat script on the line you see the "update instruction".
I did that, just using flash-all. All data was lost, but still says Android 11 (S). I'll try it again with the -w....
S is developer preview of Android 12 but it's still marked as 11 on some places. So if it was that what made you doubt, forget it, it's normal.
OH. LOL.. Thanks. Well, that explains it!
Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum, I hope this is the right place to post.
I purchased a nexus 5, used WUG's root toolkit and managed to install Nethunter just fine! Then I accidentally bricked it.
So I bought a new one. This time Nethunter was taking up basically all 12GB. This sucked. After ruining it some more, now the /system size is onle about 1GB and most of it is being used up. I definitely had 16GB before that. I can post pictures if it's more helpful and if I can get some help with it.
Also yes, absolute newb.
Lol you 'bricked' it? Well then unbrick it. Fastboot mode is there for a reason. Did you look at any of the other posts before posting this and buying a new phone?
Yup. Managed to unbrick it.
Now I'm back to having my original issue which was the /system is full. I've tried to resize it, and I've also tried the back up and wipe method. I can't get more than 148Mb free. It's driving me crazy.
This is where I'm stuck at. System says that it's full. I've tried to resize it and I've also tried to back up and restore method.
