I am currently using Samsung J7 Prime ( SM-G610F/DD ). I flashed Lineage OS Rom in it. Now I want to pivot back to the official stock ROM because of the VoLTE bug.
I've searched on the google, but couldn't seem to find official downloads for the said model. All I could gather was SamMobile and SamFirm tool which is now deprecated. However their thread redirects to "updato.com". I've downloaded a firmware from it. It doesn't seem to work and gives error while flashing using odin ( Error: Secure check failed).
I am tired of searching around so it would be really helpful if someone could give me the link of said model.
Thank you.
Check here www.sammobile.com
Then download from here https://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?exact=1&q=SM-G610F

Sammobile (sammobile.com) say that they have the original Firmware for Samsung products. Is this true? Can we install the Samsung OpenSource firmware directly : opensource.samsung.com ?

I can't comment on sammobile.com as I've never visited there, but as far as opensource.samsung.com it should only be the open source linux kernel source for your android device (in this case, the tablet). I've downloaded the source for several kernels from there, but as source, it's not really useable to most people unless they are developers.
Samsung firm is where I grab stock images aka Odin flash or kies

Well, i bought my phone here in the Philippines. Also i came across a thailand firmware while searching and it matches mine, but the link is not available anymore.
So if you can find/give a stock firmware for me it will really help me a lot.
p.s. i cant post links yet so google "s7500dxlb1" and view the one that says "S7500DXLB1 Android 2.3.6 Thailand Firmware Download" to see the link im talking about.

would this work on my phone?, the file says "S7500DXMG3" and the one installed in my phone stocked is version S7500DXLB1.
Ans
Don't be worry.
I live in Taiwan but I can flash even German version( I've tried before)
This firmware is the latest. I think your version is older one. Samsung released several version to make it stable, so the latest version is the stablest version and it will also add some new features.
Actually, all S7500 firmware is suitable but you have to notice that your area.
Because I found I flash German 2.3.6 stock firmware and I cannot have stock Chinese keyboard in it.
Flash your country version is the best choice.
p.s. if you flash from a custom rom, don't forget to back up data you want and do factory reset. it will make your S7500 work like a new phone
thanks a lot

I see, well thanks a lot for all your help.:highfive::good:
I've tried downloading loads of stock firmware from websites such as http://www.sammobile.com/ and http://samsung-updates.com/latest-firmware/ but I'm unable to complete the download due to the website's choice of file hosting website which is RapidGator and AlfaFile. Without the premium accounts on these websites I'm only able to get download speeds of 50kb/s which is absurd and took 10hours for one file that fails at the 9.5hour.
Are there any alternative sources where I can download stock firmware for Samsung devices? Please if someone has the XME version which is latest for SM-N915F please upload it to a better mirror. I've been trying to download this stock firmware for the past 3 months without any success and couldn't find any other reliable sources for it. Thanks in advanced.
Try SamFirm - Samsung firmware downloader

Wow thanks! I've never knew this thing existed. It works like a charm, maximum download speed for my internet bandwidth.
**** Sammobile and Samfirmware altogether with RapidGator and AlfaFile. Useless piece of trash and a disgrace to the community o0o
Actually they works but need using 4G LTE to Download the firmware from Sammobile and it is took 1 or 2 hours
Hi. I have two N8000's that I need to return to stock. Both currently running CM 14.1 with latest TWRP.
Can someone advise me how to return to full stock please? Including stock recovery. Latest UK\GB stock ROM ideally (where to obtain and how to flash?).
Thanks.

I guess you did not find in the right place as it is pretty easy to find
Use SamFirm tool (search on google, it is on XDA) or updato.com to download the file. Either of those options is free and download at full speed
Another option is sammobile.com which is the first result you get on google when you search "g930f stock firmware", but the download speeds are limited in that site.
