In the recent months I've noticed a different behavior in the notifications.
Sometimes it's ok and I can hear the full sound and the vibration for the correct time, but other times it just starts playing the notification sound and it suddenly stops, and does the same with the vibration. Other times there's no notification at all.
Anyone else is experiencing this? Or even manage to track it down? I'm using the stock unrooted rom.

So a few hours ago i stopped receiving any kind of sound when getting SMS and Emails. It will only vibrate. I have done a reset and double checked all audio notification settings under Personalize and i am still having this issue. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
reboot your phone and try again. Can you hear something with your headphones?
maybe it's your phone.
Every once in a while my phone randomly changes my notification ringtone to "silent". Did you actually check your notification ringtone to verify an actual tone is assigned?

They are linked so you can't change individually. What you can do however, is to either choose a louder notification tone (some are louder than others) or use an app like Zedge and go get you some loud notification tones (other tones as well)
Yeah I know, I thought I may of missed a setting. I did try Zedge and I did find a couple louder notifications.

the other day i started to get random beeping noises with my s7. no notifications etc
I hard reset the phone, i didnt even set it up and the beeping was back.... anyone any clues?

I have the same problem...it seems to be a bluetooth problem. When I turn off bluetooth the problem goes away. Turn off bluetooth see if i goes away. I am hunting for a solution.
my Bluetooth is off and I heard a beeping sound while I was texting. didn't know what it was either. wtf. so far only heard once.
Try turning NFC and payment off. Worked for me

Mine doing it too. Have taken it back 3 times for diagnostics but nothing ever found. They replaced it with a refurb phone and the new one is doing the same thing. Could it be a bug transferred over from the old phone?
Is the beeping your notification tone, or just a 'generic beep'. Mine has started to 'notify' through either my standard tone or vibration when on silent, just as if it's a notification but there's nothing there or even in the log. Did you ever find a solution?
Mine has been doing it too. All apps off, wifi and Bluetooth off. Driving me crazy.
Can it be when it changes from "mute" to "sound"? I use an app for scheduling the phone to be muted. An when it turns to "sound" it always make a "beep" or something. Haven't found yet a way to stop that stupid beep (I've system sounds muted in system settings, but it won't go away).

Mine just started something similar the past few days. I have been randomly getting a notification sound, but there are no notifications to account for it. I have turned down the volume of notifications, but this random sound is still as loud as before and it is not the sound that is set for notifications, anyway. This is driving me crazy!
It's your NFC detecting your credit card. Happened to me when I had it in a wallet case and my credit card was next to it. Moment I removed it or turned off NFC, sound went away.
Go to settings;
NFC and payment
Turn off.. problem gaawn
My S6 is doing it but its not the notification tone. Its a high pitch beep. Had the phone for 18 months and never heard this beep till a month ago. And its getting more frequent.
My guess, Its an app you've installed. Backup your data and then factory reset it.

Hello, I would like to share with you my problem. So this started when I installed the last OTA (CM13.0, Android 6.0.1). Sometimes my phone doesn't ring. Neither notifications, nor incoming calls or even charging sounds. Although if I run an app, or a music player, there is sound. It's like do not disturb is on, but it's not. I've also checked profiles and of course the sound panel. Turning all of them on and off doesn't make any difference while this is happening, the only solution is restarting the phone. So... OK, I do accept the fact that the phone has it's own personality after the OTA and there are many reasons for a phone not to like me, but I really want to hear if someone is calling or texting me.

flash TWRP abd then clear data (without internal storage) then flash fastboot image and then flash OTA zip. I had the same problem

Going through the same issue flashed cos13 once rolled back once and then updated through an OTA and still the problem persists.

I am also facing exactly the same issue ever since updated to COS 13......I noticed one pattern where this issue is occurring. If I put my phone in silent mode and change it back to normal mode, its happening but not always.....its happening randomly.
Currently I am restarting the phone as a workaround but would like to know if anyone else is facing this issue and any resolutions to this.
I am facing it too. If I restart the phone, it gets fixed for one or two calls, but it's a phone. It's primary reason it's to get calls. And it's not happening.

Some time ago I bought a Mi Note 10 and I'm happy with this phone overall. Recently, by the way, I noticed a problem: sometimes the phone put all ring and notifications sound at zero, without any interaction by the user. So I miss calls and messages. Has anyone experienced the same problem? Can anyone suggest me a solution? Thanks in advance!

Incoming call sound
Hello. I have a problem with my Xiaomi mi note 10. When i have incoming calls the phone just vibrating, but does not have any sound. When i getting sms, messenger calls, notifications everything ok. I tried to put music on every number, tried to make SIM sound but nothing works. I dont hear when someone calls to me. Is it problem with my phone or just settings?
I had the same. Despite everything correctly allowed and set there was no sound for incoming SMS. However I had downloaded a different messaging app from PlayStore. When In reverted to the stock app, the sound worked. I don't think Xiaomi likes other apps although I didn't have the problem on my other Xiaomi phone. Look for setting to allow other apps or revert to stock app meanwhile. UPDATE: I uninstalled and then reinstalled the new messaging app and the notification sound worked.
