Hi guys,
I have another problem with the phone, it doesn't charge - while on and plugged it starts to charge and shortly after that disconnects and doesn't charge at all. While off it looks like charging (the light stays green) but in fact it's just stuck.
Sometimes when I manage to charge it and use it normaly the battery for example shows 80% for the whole day then starts to dicharge rapidly. Additionally the batterytemperature is constantly -31°C in the settings.
I tried to wipe it and fastboot-flashed but it doesn't help.
Had someone similar problem and knows what could be broken? Thanks!
Hi there !
Do you find solution ?
My Mi5s+ dies exactly like this. Tried to replace battery and charging circut from aliexpress but no luck.
the temp sensors is in the battery itself...
I bought 2 replacement batteries & they got same problem....
the original is OK but the capacity is halved already....
Hello,
Could you solve the problem or find the faulty part??

Hello...
I read some posts about such problems in various threads but haven't really found a solution.
My battery sometimes sustains one or two days not really seeing this in context to my usage... sometimes it sustains only a few hours...
When I charge my phone with the charger, it's charged in one or two hours. When I charge it via USB cable, the battery goes down and down... seems not to be charging. When the phone is charged via USB , the battery meter fills up, when disconnecting form computer, it go some bars down, when rebooting the phone the battery is neraly empty...
I usedthe EFN ROMs but I found also threads with other ROMs, so I don't think it deals with the ROM?!
Very very funny...
Yes, I also have the same situation. It seems like something wrong with the driver of power manager. Does anyone find out the solution? Maybe it can be fixed via the registry.
Same problems of i900/i908
my problem is i780 always show charg icon...where i disconect the charg.
same almost
Hi any solution to this?
when i call with my phone it drains the battery very very fast talked today and the battery was going from 60% to 20 in less than a minute then i stoped the call and after a while it was at 30% then i restarted the phone it was on 50% and been at 50% for at least 4 houres
i have poor signal strenght here in the woods where i live but never had this massive "fake" drain with any phone before.
could this be becouse the battery is getting "old" ? i just bought the phone couple of dats ago.
it is 1000mah <---or how it said. i iv'e have read about 1400 for this phone same size will that do much change?
I used to get the JASJAR battery issue by blacking out on X% - X%
but not anymore when i bought a new battery and replaced it with my old one, but i found there is an issue with the new one when i fully charge it till it shows green light suddenly the JASJAR freez and wont work till i soft rest
this forbidding me from fully charging it and really a pain in the ass when i leave it to charge overnight while im sleeping but when i woke up i find that it freezed as it shows green even if i pull the charger wire from it till i soft rest again.
in this case i prevent to keep it on the charger for long time to fully charge because i fear to lose any phone call or anything during freezing.
anybody knows the solution for this issue?

Perhaps if you try to install another ROM could solve the problem
Hope it helps and good luck,
I'm having the same problem. Have tried 2 ROM. I'm using 3200 mah battery. I'm not really sure about this, but when I'm using the 1600 mah battery, it seems ok. I'll try again tonight charging with 1600 mah battery

I had this problem two times with two new batteries, I sent them back to the supplier, it's not a matter of ROM (tried on my Universal and on another Uni of a friend, same behaviour) it's a battery problem.
Marco.
yes it is battery problem, UNI won't wake up when full charging.
so make it not sleep when charging
try to change setting -> battery power
do not check on external power.
hope it work

This Is Smart
defiantly will try it out tonight
I had similar problem, but it was ROM-related. Try re-flashing Tomal 8.2 and see if it solves it. Nothing to lose. If doesn't work - you know it has to be the battery.
I generally re-flash when problems appear, especially when you had the same ROM for some time. Solves most of things.
Best of luck
Hi everyone
My problem is.. my DS started to charge slowly.
Now it doesn't really charge slowly, If I check the voltage, I will get like 4220mv but as soon as it reaches that, the charging graph just goes flat.
If say I have charged it to 70% and it started going slow. i switch it off, place on the charger, and the lamp goes green. I turn it on, and it is showing 100%.
I have tried calibrations, diffirent kernels, wiping, factory resets e.t.c.
Another thing is that if I will run a v6 battery calibrator,it will show that actually I should have a 100% charge although a phone is showing only 70%.
So the summary: Phone charges normally when off (when recovery monitors charging), showing the correct voltage when on... But showing the wrong percentage if on charge.
Also sometimes if the battery is like 14% left. And I turn the phone off and then on again, it will show 22% bearing the same voltage as when it was 14%.
Question: Is there any way to tweak the battery indicator so it would show % values same as the v6 calibrator does it or is it a hardware fault, if yes, which part of it ?
This happens to me on my older (original) battery, but not my new one. I bought the second battery when this problem started happening. So, I think it's just a symptom of an old battery.
By the way, if you leave it on charge long enough, it will eventually jump up to 100%.
Other than this weird behaviour, it has no real impact on anything.
Sent from my Nexus 7
Thought so, mines been acting similarly lately, but strangely enough it seems to be getting better
I think I found out..
I actually purchased a new battery recently, because my old one was jumping like crazy and started discharging in a few hours..
This new battery I bought from a mobile repair shop.
It is a cheap chinese battery with no name, anyhow I just took it out to take a look at it...
And guess what, it sais 1200mah..
Can the phone be confused because of that ?
Hi All,
I have this problem of the tab not charging,
Was searching all week and had no luck. Seems like a common problem among phones especially on SGS and SGS2.
When it was on , it showed a message saying charging paused Battery temp too hot or cold.
Now the battery is drained, and when charged to the mains, it would show a yellow triangle, and a thermometer.
See picture attached..
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j236/akatora1984/20130703_204829.jpg
Just wondering if anybody had any luck figuring out why this is happening and any work around?
Just to rule things out, Tab had not been in any wet places...
service manual
I was going through the service manual and it was saying,
"If the battery will no longer charge, completely you need to replace it with a new battery. Take you device to your local service centre.."
Thoughts?..

Well first if you still got factory warrenty...
get it fixed by samsung...
If you want to save a few dollars you could attempt to pry the screen out from the back cover and charge the battery externally then if thats a NO GO buy another battery online and then put it back together.
Ive read before with charging problems that if teh battery gets completely Flat it wont have enough charge in it to activate the charging circuits.eg when you plug in charger you get black secreen and no battery icon, you need to pop the screen out and remove the battery and charge it from a external source.then replace it.
Never seen anything about your particular problem though...
I will enquire to Samsung, not expecting much because, tab7.7 was never officially launched in Aust.
Ho do you go about charging, externally?

Try plug in wall charger for 30 mins then hold power button for 15 seconds. This is good for waking it out of deep sleep and getting it to trigger charge.
another thing is possible fix from factory reset in twrp?
i would try a few things like this and leave opening it up as a last resort.
for your info google how to open up galaxy tablet and you can find pics
how to prise the screen out of the back cover.ive bought tools for this but havent done it yet as worried about damadging screen or cracking it.
there are clips around it and you have to pop the clips out.
Australia samsung probly wont fix it as not australian model..
another thing to ry is charge using ipad 2ma charger...
Experienced exactly the same issue in May 2013. It was functioning well and charging without problem all along and suddenly turned out like this. Tried different method to have it charged but no luck. I have to bring it back to the service center for repair finally.

Did the Samsung guys tried to explain anything about this?
What did they replace? Did they just replace a battery?
Please let me know.

Galaxy GT-N5110 Note 8.0 - Charging paused...battery temperature too low...
I purchased a Galaxy Note 8.0 (GT-N5110) last July. It's been working great until yesterday when a window popped up stating "Charging paused. Battery temperature too low."
I tried shutting the Note down and charge the battery whilst turned off. It seems to be charging just fine at the moment. Will check it in a few hours when the battery has been fully charged.
I installed an app called Battery Monitor Widget. It's reporting that the battery temp is around -2c to -4c while charging.
UPDATE: Battery is charged @ 100% and the Note is still on AC power. Battery Monitor is reporting that the battery is -3.7c then to -5.9c...
My next test is to completely drain the battery and see about charging then.... Will keep you posted...
Can't post screenshots for now...

UPDATE: Now on battery, the battery temperature is reporting at -4.7c...
I some how fixed it by accident..
First I thought it was a faulty battery only to realise that replacing the battery did not work...
Next I followed one of the remedies I read where it said to connect the charger to the unit with the wall charger connected and connect the battery (there is a ribbon cable).
Some how it worked. Started charging etc.
I noticed that the battery had full charge as I had it plugged in for a whole night before when i was experiencing the TEMP too low symptoms.
It seemed as if it was charging all along but was showing that stupid error on the surface...
Hope this helps some people.
JK
Have this issue with one of my S4's (fortunately I have a couple so can swap things about)
The phones had a life of luxury on my desk, except it suddenly started reporting 'battery temperature too low' issue and not charging
The same battery in another S4 is absolutely fine, so the battery itself is ruled out (and indeed 2 other batteries will not charge in the unit having problems, despite working fine in other S4's)
It seems that something has died in the S4 itself internally. and is likely going to require replacement/fix at a service centre.
How many other people have this? - it could be an issue with the device build.
I changed the battery buying a new one on amazon, the problem was that when the phone was at low % it shut off sometimes at 20% sometimes at 40%. Ater changing battery i noticed that the problem disappeared for a week, but then reappeared, so i changed the charger and tested different cables but both charging and discharging are irregular, it charges to 100 in 10 minutes. So i ordered a new charging board on amazon, i changed it but the problem persists. Im desperate, i dont know what to do, sorry for my english. I thank anyone in advance who wants to help me.:crying:
could always try recalibrate your battery

I think you should change your phone's battery mate. I changed mine last week and it's as good as new now. Charges and discharges exactly how it's supposed to. My battery had similar issues before I changed it.
TRY CALIBRATION ?
1.Discharge your phone fully until it turns itself off.
2.Turn it on and let it turn off again.
3.Plug your phone into a charger and, without turning it on, let it charge until the on-screen or LED indicator says 100 percent.
4.Unplug your charger.
5.Turn your phone on. It's likely that the battery indicator won't say 100 percent, so plug the charger back in (leave your phone on) and continue charging until it says 100 percent on the screen as well.
6.Unplug your phone and restart it. If it doesn't say 100 percent, plug the charger back in until it says 100 percent on screen.
7.You want to repeat this cycle until it says 100 percent (or as close as you think it's going to get) when you start it up without it being plugged in.
8.Now, install the Battery Calibration app, and before you launch it, make sure your battery is at 100 percent again, then restart.

He said he just put in anofher battery he bought on Amazon. I'm wondering at what point you stop buying parts for what is becoming an unsupported phone and just get another phone.
