No, mine is still being shipped, i don't believe it's gonna be that easy.
+1 All users must push the release of the kernel source, otherwise its never going to happen. I love the phone, but Xiaomi is bad and slow with the release of their kernels.
Probably ~6 month to release (average time for rest xiaomi phones).

OP said kernel source of redmi 4 right. Redmi 4 n redmi 4 prime are different. Kernel source of redmi 4 prime has been released
6 months and they still haven't released the source code of prada

Battery life on mido is Sort of incredible.Currently I own a OPO but since it is dead for a couple of months now,I'll buy mido if redmi 4(santoni) doesn't get development.

I increased my budget a bit and got the redmi note 4 (3gig version). The development isnt that bad. I mean, theres cm13 thats stable which is perfect since theres no Xposed for nougat roms. Thanks for your help though

You can always backup your camera application
But what about this is better than normal MIUI Camera?
