I'm searching for those people who have root their phones.. if you are the guy and willing to help me... please email me... I just need your help for about 10mins only... PLZ
ANYONE root his phone already? I need Help...
Very easy...
Steps: You need to
1. root your phone first..
2. install ASTRO File Manager (by metago) or other else
3. install SMS Backup & Restore created by Ritesh Sahu
4. backup all your messages by using SMS Backup & Restore and name the backup file as 1.xml
5. using ASTRO, go to /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/ and you will see a db file called mmssms.db (it is the file where all your messages stored in the phone)
6. copy the mmssms.db to your sd card (anywhere, as long as you can remember where it is)
7. copy the MMSSMS.DB (my db file, will be sent to you later if you can help) and paste it in the /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/
8. then go to messaging, check if my messages can be shown at there
9. if yes, please backup it by using SMS Backup & Restore and name the backup file as 2.xml
10. then by using ASTRO file manager, go to /mnt/sdcard/SMSBackupRestore, you will see 2 xml files, (1.xml & 2.xml)
11. please send the 2.xml file to me, thank you.
12. Recovery! go to messaging, delete all messages (my messages), then restore it by using SMS Backup & Restore, choose 1.xml
13. If failed, go to /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/, replace the db file by your own mmssms.db file which is stated in step 6...
Anyone can help me?

I have a text message saved in an old ROM backup file that Go SMS didn't save prior to the backup. (Funny...I backuped the messages right before switching ROMs and it failed to backup ONLY the series of messages that I missed.)
I'd rather not have to downgrade the firmware and reflash the gingerbread ROM in order to get these messages.
Is there a way to extract files from a saved ROM file?
And if I can, does anyone know where I should look in the directory structure? Go SMS was the messaging app if that makes a difference on where it would have saved the messages.
Try this app: http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/1...-rom-manager-had-a-baby-with-titanium-backup/
If the app doesn't work you could try this: http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/g1m9x/is_there_a_way_to_extract_sms_logs_from_a/
Neat! I will try those
Sent from my HTC Sensation using XDA App
Well I'm half way there. Things I've learned for reference to people of the future who find this thread....
The messages are stored in
/data/data/com.android.providers/telephony/databases/
CM7 stores messages differently than most other ROM's.
So you can't use the extraction method to replace messages from CM7 to another ROM.
Luckily I have a MT4G that still has CM7 loaded. So I could extract what I needed and install them there.
However I needed pictures from a message too. I'm still trying to find those. Any idea where those would be stored? They aren't part of the /data/data/com.android.providers/telephony/databases/ directory.
When I restored the messages all I get are the download links. And of course the links are expired.
I have an Samsung Galaxy S2 running Android 2.33. I put on Google+ app and that was a mistake. It created a folder in my gallery called Instant Upload [with 70 pictures]. I would really like to delete the folder but I am not able and I don't know where the folder is kept. I tried searching with windows explorer and couldn't find the pictures or where the folder is on my phone. I went to Google+ site on my pc and erased the pictures there but still can't erase on my phone. Please help.
Even i also have the same problem, i am not able to delete instant upload folder as well as profile photos folder too from my SGS2 mobile. I tried to delete all the apps and cleared all the memory from my SD card. The problem is i can delete both the folders but again when i open my gallery it ll show the deleted files again. So please help.

hi builder,
finally i found the solution for this, it sounds wired but it ll work 100%.
just follow the following steps, and before doing this i recommend u to take backup of all the data from your phone.
settings>privacy>factory data reset>check (format usb storage)>reset phone.
hope this will help you.

Thanks. It worked but it was a major pain. Google should have made it easier to get rid of. It is like using a bomb to get rid of a fly.
I have a new account "ZeekWorld" and I don't need this one anymore "zeeker".
Please delete it and confirm, or move my posts to the new one and delete it.
Thanks.
Sorry if this is the wrong section for this question, as its really out of place, and I fear the pictures are just forever gone.
When I installed Android 5.1.1, my phone created a new "0" sub directory, and so I had to move everything into a new directory. My pictures from KeepSafe will now not show up. When I open the app it doesn't show anything. I tried deleting and installing the app again and backing up the colder, deleting it, and restoring the backup. Anyone know a way to get the pictures back?
The old KeepSafe you could just use a file explorer and change the extension and see the image but it has a new encryption now.
The pics that were in the app were family vacation pictures, in case you're wondering, and they were cluttering my gallery so I decided to move them to the app and I was gonna move them out later. Now they are not showing up.
Keep safe
1). Clear data of keepsafe
2). Install lucky patcher
3). Open the menu of patches for keepsafe
4). Remove license verification lunch app you are ready to go
Important : first do it ......
You have to copy your old file of keep safe ,find in SD card / folder name .keep / copy and replace it it with new .keep folder , which is created by keepsafe
It worked for me ,I hope it will for you too
