Samsung Pay with rewards in US - required framework plus SP App version combination - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

I have an S7 (930F), baseband,AP CP is: G930FXXU1DQ1C and CSC is: G930FPHN1DQI1.
I would like to use Samsung pay in the US with rewards earning.
The Samsung pay framework is currently 2.5.94! and the Samsung Pay app is not installed yet from the Play store.
My question is: for full US Samsung Pay usage including rewards earning, which combination of framework version should I try to get and which version of the Samsung Pay app should I try to get?
Also, what would happen if I just downloaded the newest version of the Samsung Pay app from the app store and tried to use it in the US? Would my nice, old, SP framework number be automatically updated?
For now, I have all automatic updates on the phone turned off for everything including apps and phone software.
My phone did notify me that it wants to install G930FXXU2DRB6, I declined at this time.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

[Q] Can't download paid apps from gear or galaxy stores

I rooted and removed some bloatware from my s4 and I think something may have taken away Samsung billing in the process. I can download free apps but if I try to download a paid app it tells me "Samsung Billing will be downloaded and installed from Samsung GALAXY Apps to complete this purchase" followed by "Error. Product does not exist in this store. (4002)" I'd like to avoid having to reflash the phone if I can avoid it so does anybody know if it's possible to simply replace a lib file or download Samsung Billing as an apk?
Not rooted but same problem
If anyone could shed some light on this I would be very grateful. I have the Note 3 trying to buy apps for the Gear 2. I get the same error. Anyone?
I have fixed the issue in mine by reinstalling some previously purchased apps. It redownloaded Samsung billing of its own accord when I did without an error this time.

Samsung Gear Apps [store]

Why can I see paid apps in the store only by using a Samsung phone?
Anybody? And will Samsung change that soon?
I have the same problem with my Oneplus 2. Hope anybody can help.

Got the same problem, with HTC One M9 + Gear s2...
The reason is, that the Samsung App Store has an own payment method instead of goole play store's method...
At the moment, you cant pay for samsung app on a non-samsung device, so it doesnt listing the paid apps, only the free ones...
BUT: today, i've signed in with my accounnt on a samsung mobile device (galaxy 24 mini), paired my watch, paid some apps, installed it.
when i have paired it back again with my M9, the installed apps disappeared (soft reset when pairing a deivce), and the apps that i paid on a samsung device, still doesnt appears on the M9 store
Just an idea, tried it out, but doesnt work
is there any way, to save the app from the watch (when i bought is, and installed it from a samsung device), and re install it (with the saved installer) from the non-samsung device?

I imagine there are technical problems for Samsung to make paid apps open to all, but it can't be an insurmountable problem, and it would be good for consumers and developers if they opened the paid apps to non-Samsung phones. Samsung is a giant corporation and so not particularly easy to contact or persuade, but I wonder if developers started a petition that might help persuade Samsung to fix this situation.
I've got a oneplus one - just wondering if they're are any worthwhile paid apps that I'm missing out on?

It mainly depends on what you want to do with your watch. I bought the app My Notes in Gear. It let's you create notes and task lists on your phone and sync these with your watch. I am also using komoot which is a free app but didn't show in the Gear store with a non Samsung phone. For me it was reason enough to switch the phone...
I am not hundred percent sure. I was having the same issue (not a big deal as I also had a Samsung phone, so I switched). When utilizing a Samsung phone, there are way more free applications and the paid applications are accessible too. Also, I believe the store has a slightly different layout.
I read somewhere that said someone contacted Samsung. They replied saying that they were working on a fix, but the reason was that they weren't able to accept payments (or some other payment issue) on non-Samsung devices.
I am sure it will be fixed soon. Hold tight!
If I connect my gear s2 to a Samsung phone to get access to paid apps and watchfaces and download them to the watch will they still be there when I switch back to my non Samsung phone?
I'm mainly talking about watch faces at this time. It seems like all the good digital ones are hidden to me now.
And maybe ultimately a good thing, but with the most recent Gear app update (for your phone), the layout of the app changed, and I noticed a recommended app at the bottom that wouldn't install. I suspect this app (can't recall which one) was an app that Samsung phone users can install, and the rest of us can't. My theory is this was either an outright error, or may portend non-Samsung phone users eventually getting access to at least more apps, if not paid apps.

no, i've tried this solution.
if you pairing the watch to other device, every time you need to soft reset is (than the installed apps is gone). :crying:

SM-G950F/SM-G950FD - US Samsung Pay App?

Does anyone know of the procedure to get the US Samsung Pay app working with this phone? I did get Samsung Pay working by changing the CSC to Australia, then back to OXM, added an AT&T SIM and now the phone registers as XEU CSC - so I'm getting the UK Samsung Pay app.
The UK Samsung Pay app is working properly and allowing me to add/user my US credit card, but what I really want is the Samsung Rewards, which the UK app does not support.
I tried downloading the APK of the US Samsung Pay app mentioned in another post about this, but after starting the app up, it asks me to update the app, then keeps crashing after the update.
I'm having the same issue. I used an India CSC and the India Samsung pay app got installed even though I got the apk off of a US device.
It seems to me like the region of the Pay app is controlled by the CSC and there aren't separate versions of the app for separate regions.
Now the app keeps crashing and is not working at all. Is your UK app still working?

Samsung Pay for Gear now works in Canada (no CSC change or mods required)

Thought I'd share a bit of good news. The latest upgrade of Gear app that changed it to Galaxy Wear app now offers fully functional Samsung Pay for Gear for Canadian consumers. To set it up, do the following:
Upgrade your "Gear App" to the new "Galaxy Wearable" app from the Play Store.
Go to APKMirror or a similar site and download, then install the latest version of the "Samsung Pay for Gear" app (the latest version on APKMirror as of this post is 1.6.8906). Note that the app is currently not available from the Play Store or Galaxy App store, at least not on a non-Samsung phone (I am using the Essential PH-1 with my Gear S3 Classic).
Once installed, launch the app, allow all permissions and you will be prompted to update your "Samsung Pay for Gear" app.
Complete the update as prompted, then re-launch the app to complete the setup.
Accept the terms, follow the prompts to add your supported Canadian credit cards, and complete the required verification.
Once complete, test that it is working correctly by pressing and holding your back button on the Gear S3 watch from any screen.
Enjoy Samsung Pay for Gear in Canada!
Note that to make this work your card has to be supported by Samsung Pay (or really, your bank for Samsung Pay) and you have to have NFC enabled on your Gear S3.
I have the S3 Classic. It automatically did the update for me. One question though....Is it correct that the Samsung pay for wearable devices, right now in Canada, only allow credit cards???? I tried to add my debit card but it couldn't VERIFY which is weird because I have my debit card on my phone (Note 8). Is there an issue with the app or will it eventually allow debit cards over time? I also tried to add my credit card but its not supported yet, go figure .

This is correct. Gear Pay only supports credit cards for now. Considering that Samsung hasn't even officially announced Gear Pay in Canada I have no clue when we can expect to see debit card support. The issue with debit vs. credit and the inconsistent implementation by Samsung and our dear banks always annoyed the crap out of me so I feel your pain.
Hi I have tried installing the Gear Plug-in for Samsung Pay but right after I allow all the permissions i get the message "Can't open Samsung Pay Your watch may not be supported". Any idea how I can get past this?
I am facing the same issue. even after installing the apk manually, when i try open it says-"Your watch may not be supported"

Gear s2 + google pay

I cannot use Samsung pay because I'm in an unsupported country but google pay is supported. I will do anything (new rom, different software, Xposed modules, magisk modules, ANYTHING) to get google pay / Samsung pay working on my gear s2. Is there anything I can do?
Nope. The only one thing whats work is Curve...
