Help i am facing a terrible issue, battery was 80% but as soon as i started usb tethering, the phone rebooted, still the battery was 80, then again i tried tethering , enabled data connection, suddenly battery fell down to 0% and phone rebooted
Now battery is 1% but mV are 4000 which are at the time of full battery. I doubt, if i charge phone now, the battery will explode. Kindly help

well this happened to me three times before ( 3rd one happened just before 20 minutes) its rom bug dude , just charge your phone again using charger
Thanks
Do you think the battery will blast, because its 12% now and the voltages are 4200mV , i never reached to that limit

Cellphones these days use a type of battery called a lithium polymer battery, often abbreviated LiPo. These batteries have a "nominal cell voltage" of 3.7 V, or 3,700 mV (though some newer phones have batteries with higher nominal cell voltages, like 3.85 V). This voltage, from what I understand, is the average voltage which the chemicals in the battery would produce. However, when fully charged a LiPo cell will briefly hit anywhere from 4.15 V (4,150 mV) to 4.30 V (4,300 mV), depending on the battery and the charging circuit which charges the battery. This is perfectly normal for LiPo batteries.
In other words (and to repeat what pico hackr said above), just charge your phone. The built-in charging circuits and safety cutoffs will charge your battery properly and yet shut off if something goes wrong. If you really want to make sure it doesn't blow up, take off the back cover of your Moto G and watch the battery for any signs of swelling. LiPo batteries will swell up (just like a balloon about to pop) before actually exploding. If it does begin to swell, unplug it immediately, don't put the back cover on it, and put it somewhere safe where it could blow up and catch fire without harming anything. Though extremely rare, cellphone batteries do occasionally explode and if yours does, such an event would definitely be covered by Motorola's warranty.
it worked
I charged the battery at bootloader( without turning on the phone) upto 22% , then on observation , the voltages were reached upto 4300 mV ,so i just turned off the phone and rebooted many times. Luckily the battery got back to 100% and the mV were also stable at 4200 mV . damn i will never tether untill i get 4.4.3 update. Thanks for helping
Bugs
Same, i faced it for first time and by looking at personal opinions of different people at other places, i am sure its something related with adb, while connected, the system crashes first and then everything else like batterystats, etc
From pc's side (i have win 8.1) the windows system also hangs while i am connected to phone via usb tethering, it keeps hanging untill i unplug the usb cable.
Moto g will be getting bug fix in few days , hope it solves this, or else there will also be 4.4.3 later for heaven's sake.
I had a sudden drop in battery from 70 % to 1% after 1 hr being on , and only received from Amazon 1 day before . I plugged her in . she's. Been fine ever since . touch plastic ... That's 3 days so far

Hey guys I am a long time Android enthusiast. I have one of the most popular Samsung devices which is the Samsung Galaxy fit. The problem with my Samsung Galaxy Fit is the battery. Earlier before any tweaking battery used to be normal. After I installed CM7(official build). My battery started draining randomly. At first it was ignorable but then the problem became severe. From 100% it would drop to 88% in just 2 mins use and then from 88% it wud drop to 70% in another 5 mins and the entire phone would be dead in just 3 hours at best. When I would charge the phone again the battery will also be charged randomly going from 5% to 20% and then 20% to 40% all this in just 10 mins. In no less than 20 mins would my phone be 100% charged but that's fake as the battery would drain from 100% to 0% in three hours.
Following are the solutions are tried
Changed the batter, used a brand new original battery(FAIL - DID NOT WORK)
Flashed stock Rom (FAIL - PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS)
Changed Charger (FAIL)
Recharged battery on a different phone and then inserted the battery in fit (FAIL)
If anyone has any solution please let me know. I AM ALSO WILLING TO DONATE IF PROBLEM GETS SOLVED.

Hope this will help you..
1. after flashing custom ROMS, back to recovery or CWM then wipe the battery stats.
2. calibrate the battery while device is on, i ussually use Mugen Power app (install app, choose the standard battery, charge until 100% then click calibrate, after that use the device until the phone is dead then charge until 100% again while device is off).
other Calibration apps ussually have the same steps like the steps i mentioned above, so just use one app..
3. if you still having the battery drain, maybe you should go check the hardware in some technician, coz it could be the hardware that has the problems.
Hello everyone!
The battery life is getting shorter and shorter everyday apparently without any particular reason as Gsam says.
I have a new battery installed, received from China a week ago, I have the feeling that is not original and so a bit screwed up but I am not sure about this cause I have flashed Exodus the same day I replaced the battery.
I have a weird problem going on since the first day I have installed this new battery: I have unplugged the cable at 13.00 with 100% of charge and at 16.00 the battery was apparently flat = 4 miserable hours of normal business-like use.
I turned it on in recovery mode, the twrp didn't show any battery level, I have played with the command line with max brightness for about 15 mins, that means the battery was still ok.
the dmesg from twrp terminal says every 10 secs:
healthd: battery l=0 v=3817 t=36.1 h=2 st=3 c=1 chg=

Also as soon as I plugged the charger, it got full 100% in less than 30mins.
what's going on??
Again I flashed Exodus 5.1.1 with AK kernel, new battery installed same day. Previous os was stock Cyanogen 12s and original battery = 4 max 5 hrs battery life
Dear Community,
since few days a problem with my Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s came out of nowhere. My phone charged very quickly but as soon I removed the charger, the battery drained extremely fast. I lost about 1% in 2 Mins. Then as i charged my phone it charged again super fast to 100%. When I restarted the phone after charging it came back with only 42% so I could charge the phone again. After installing an update the charging went slower so i thought maybe the problem was fixed. So i tried to restart after charging my phone again to 100% and it came back with 30%. But now it is already 4 hours at exactly 30% without loosing any "%". Do you guys think my battery is broken or could it be a software problem?
Thanks for advices !
Sebastian
Maybe change a battery.
Hi, recently my phone stuck at 90% battery level... The charging is turbo charge but the value never goes more than 90% even after 2 hours charging it will remain at 90....I've rebooted several time... What more weird is that I've turned off phone at 90% battery level and keep it charging for about 30 minutes the battery level drop to 85%.....anybody have recommendation what to do except changing the charger as the charger is ok when charge other phone.
