As you can see i am a junior member with a little android knowledge .. i have flaashed quite a no. of rom ..
But i want to make a rom ... i mean i want to become a developer .. can you guide where to start . how to start .. and how to go about it .. how much time it will take .. and all the essential details .. i thought xda is the best forum as questions are answered quickly ..
Sorry if the post is a repetation .. i am quite serious and interested in learning custom rom development and post up a rom in xda ..

Ok i know that the sapphire forum doesnt get as much development as the dream section but cmon ppl, has it come to the point where every single question deserves a thread. Its called using the q/a thread. Geez. Incase the reason u posted here is because u dont know what q/a stands for, its questions and answers. Plz dont be the reason devs leave this outstanding forum.
I m' new to android just bought that phone a month ago, I used to be a computer programmer for years but android, kernels seem to be a bit different.
I searched for guides here but found few ones like:

Yeah, I think there are a number of developers in our forum who would like to contribute but are just new to the whole AOSP thing. I am browsing codeworkx's old thread and he shared resources with a number of guys to help in porting CM 7. Any resource to start with would be most welcome..

Honestly, as this is such an old device and therefore in the Legacy forums, I doubt you'll ever see anything close to 4.4.2. Even newer devices than this have a very slim chance of that happening.
Also, please remember not to ask questions in the development section in future. That section is only for development to be posted, NOT questions.
