unlock Android box with restricted use to one IPTV app

Hi All
I have my android box that is very restricted, I cant add any apk, I cant even add a google account it just crashes, File browser is not available EVEN internet browser, only four applications showing: ATN iptv, Dev Tools, Music, Download (which is empty), and Settings. I can reset the device to factory but it will come back exactly the same. I can use toothpick button but it will give an image of (Android with error sign) then will continue as normal to home screen. it run jelly bean firmware. 4.2.2 build number ATN-1.0.6 2016-09-26 242441.
What can I do now? I need to be able to add any apk package I like, when I connect USB stick nothing happens...

Does debug usb work? Or something like Fastboot/ADB?

I connected the box to the computer with USB cable (both ends the same) but nothing happened. I wish it was as simple as PC, formating and re install Android OS lol.
not sure about Fastboot or ADB.
Unknown source option is ticked, but like I said nothing happens when I insert a USB. cant even download from net or open any browser.

I have samme ATNbox, (and others called atn gold/platinum) have you tried to use another android version on the box? I am facing same issue, can´t add any app or change Android version.

Need help please
I have an Androide box named ISatPlus, I was subscribed to iptv in 2015 but not anymore.
The box has received an update from ATN and now am not able to install KODI or any other application. The system keep deleting all new application I install.
I cant even install new firmware it fails after few sconds. Anyone can help or suggest a solution?
The CPU is a dual core ARM Cortex-A7, and the platform is BIGFISH???

this is an old thread, however, if anyone still interested in reprogramming "most" of the ATN boxes, there is a way to customize it and make it a basic android box which you can use normally with any app, however most ATN receivers are very old and not compatible with newer versions of android, only android 4.x.x depending on the box you have

First, ROOT > Easiest way is CF Auto Root http://autoroot.chainfire.eu
If that isn't available for your version or doesn't work then PLEASE USE SUPERSU http://www.supersu.com/download
Install the latest TWRP for you version https://twrp.me/Devices/(flash TAR under AP using Odin - UNTICK AUTO REBOOT)
Three Button combo to get into recovery(power off, hold volume up, home, and power until recovery boots), then flash latest SuperSU.zip in TWRP.
NB: This is a very basic ROOT guide. Please search here on XDA for further info

Preparation
First, for Samsungs, I’ll need to know your baseband, even for FRP(boot into recovery to access baseband info if frp locked)
Settings>about phone>baseband or boot into recovery mode
LG, HTC, etc build number and update are needed

Enable USB debugging

December firmware patch is OK. i.e BPK6. Please don't use 2017 firmware at this stage
For those that don't know... the 5th to last digit in the firmware is the BOOTLOADER (BL) version. YOU CAN'T GO BACK!!
i.e G920TUVU5EQC2 the BL version is 5 so you can't flash anything less than BL version 5. I need to know your baseband for any samsung phone. LG phones build number will suffice.

Please download USB Redirector USB Redirector Client and sit it on your desktop NO NEED TO INSTALL ANYTHING, just run and delete when done
Unlock
Open usb redirector and read the prompts
When it ask i’ll provide you my address to put in USB redirector to allow me usb control and click OK. Prompts will pop up to plus device in and share your device with technician. Once again refer to my Time Zone (av 10Am-7Pm most days, some other times also)
I will connect to the device and proceed from there. You may be required to stay in chat with me and press button combos on the phone
Please watch phone for USB Authorisation prompt. Check the box then press OK.
I will disconnect and reconnect as required.
Watch phone Screen for SU (ROOT) prompt and press GRANT.
All you need to do is watch the phone for USB Authorization and ROOT grant.
Please follow the instructions I send via Google Hangouts
After we are finished you can return your device settings to as they were and you can remove USB Redirector client from PC.

Very cool! Looks like we have a bit in common. Are you doing just Samsung Sprint Unlocks enabling GSM bands? or doing more unlocks than this? Can you do a Samsung S9 Sprint unlock? Also what about having root for u9 on a G935P converted to U firmware unlocked for all carriers GSM and CDMA? I am just looking for U9 english root or a method. So far nothing released public for Binary 9 from what my guys tell me.

Help needed to clear phone with broken screen so I can sell S or R

Hi,
My wife has broken the screen on her S6 and as a result it is completely dead. She now has a new phone and I've managed to connect to my PC to get all her old photos off.
However, I was hoping to sell it for spares or repairs with the dead screen but was wondering how I would go about clearing any personal information off it.
Do I have to delete all the necessary files off individually and of so which ones? or is there software that will do it for me.
Any help with this would be appreciated.

if you get an mhl cable you should be able to connect the phone to the tv and use that as your screen but only if the screen still responds to touch failing that use the samsung smart switch software and do an emergency firmware recovery I think that wipes your phone.

Apparently someone from Samsung Support said I can use a otg cable to connect to my TV...

But the ones on eBay haven't got a power input like the link suggests you might need. Has anyone got any experience with using a hdmi otg cable for connecting to a TV?

Download and run this;

When you open the program, type the values given here;
Model: SM-G920F
Region: PHN
Auto: Selected
Manual: Unselected
Binary Nature: Selected
Check CRC32: Selected
Decrypt automatically: Selected
When you write and select options given above, press "Check Update" and then press "Download" to download factory firmware for your device.
Once the download has been finished, extract the zip file that you've downloaded via SamFirm.
After unzip it, download and run this Odin (even if you have another one);

When you open it, press BL and select file which starts with BL from downloaded (from Samfirm) and extacted zip folder.
Do the same thing for AP, CP, CSC.
When you set 4 files to Odin, press and hold volume down + home button + power button for 10 seconds. Then, press volume up button once. After you've done this, connect your phone to your PC. Make sure your phone has enough battery.
Wait for 1 minute. You can see some indications about your device (like "Connected!" on log which is left down corner of Odin).
After that, press Start. When Odin done the installation, phone will restart. When it is restarted, disconnect the cable.
After 1-2 minutes, phone will boot up as completely refreshed device.

How to Flash Samsung Software.

Hey everyone.
Last year I taught myself, how to Flash Samsung software.
After I learnt everything I needed, I made a step by step guide in my notes in case I need to do it again.
I posted that step by step guide in another discussion and it seems to have got a lot of views and hopefully helped.
As its at the bottom of a forum I thought I would post it in the next comment so people can get better access and I can help more.
Hope it helps.

Notes Before The Method
the cable you are using to connect to the pc should be the original charging cable. (If you don't have the original then use the one your using and see if it works)
Your phone needs to be at least at 60% battery.
Older phones sometimes don't work with newer versions of Odin so if this is happening download a older version.
If it's a new phone and you want to personalize it from scratch then no need to back up and restore any data.
Remove your SIM card to prevent it from being SIM locked to one network. ( I read it somewhere, not sure how true this is but I do it and seems to work)
After removing your memory card, plug it into your computer using a memory card extension and copy photos to your computer. Just in case the phone formats the memory card when entered back in to the phone, after the firmware is installed.
Method
1. Go to Sammobile via Google chrome in incognito mode. (If you don't do this they will re-direct you to a sign up page, everytime you press download)
2. Download Firmware, find this by picking the lastest firmware thats with your network and match the Baseband version or the last part of build number. (found in system info in the settings)
3. Install the latest version of Odin and install Samsung secondary device drivers on your pc/Laptop.
4. (On your mobile) back up your data in the samsung cloud.
Setting>Cloud and Accounts>Samsung Cloud>Backup settings> Back up.
If you have a memory card, move all your photos ect to it and remove it from your phone.
5. Go into setting and tap build number 7 times to unlock developer options. After unlocking it, enter developer options and enable usb debugging.
Setting>developer options>USB Debugging.
6. Once the firmware file has stopped downloading on your pc extract it and send it to your Downloads File.
7. Open Odin and load each part of firmware in the right box e.g. AP with AP, BL with BL, CSC with CSC ect (Do not load up Home CSC this is used for when your moving a branded device to another brand, E.g. EE to 3)
8. Before you plug your phone up to the computer. Turn your phone off and enter Odin mode(Download mode). Each device has a different way of doing this so just google how to do it on your specific samsung device.
9. Once your phone is in download mode plug it into the computer and press start. This should take a couple of minutes but some files may take longer.
10. Once the Odin confirms the process is done by showing the pass sign unplug your phone and turn it on. First time you turn it on May take a minute or two to load.
11. Enter your google email and password, and restore all your data on google.
12. Then enter your Samsung user and password, after that press restore and choose the date you backed up on before you flashed your phone (at point 4)
13. Enjoy all done.

Add wifi internet <-> (Either this or the below comes first. I don't remember)
Goto emergency dialer <->
Dial 112 and hit memo (make sure you do not have a sim card in and also end the call as soon as it starts and you get to memo.. dont let it connect! In my case i was on cdma and tracfone with an expired account so it redirected to Verizon)
Next hit images - one on the right (not gallery)
Next goto help or terms? click one or the other
Open samsung browser and navigate around till you get to where you can input a google account OR use chrome browser and get to where you add a google account (Yes go ahead and do this)
Register a new account (you can probably use any other account as well). I went ahead and registered a new one.
Next goto browser and type in settings scroll over to the phone icon at the bottom if the phone settings arent already shown as results when you search.
Click on the settings result. You are now in your phone settings.
Goto Security.. Enable Unknown Sources and disable Verify Apps
Next click on Reactivation Lock and disable it.
Youll be brought to a samsung login screen letting you register an account.
Now register a new account.
Goto Software Update if you want and it will register your device and update (if youre not up to date)
It will reboot and install updates.
--
If you didnt install updates go ahead and reboot the phone.
Now input your account you just created and login.
If you setup a google account like i said in the above steps it will already be set for you.
