So I have installed and played with several different custom ROMs but I keep running into the same issue. When listening to Spotify the song audio for the first 1 to 2 seconds is at normal Kevel when maxed out. Then for the rest of the song drops down as if I turned the volume down, but it will remain at max level, any insight as what to do fix this?/

Volume was very low through my earphones (I've tried multiple), so I looked around the forum for similar threads. There's a LOT of threads with low volume issues. I found Voodoo Control, installed it, and configured it to output maximum levels. Google Music is at an acceptable level now where I won't put it to maximum volume, but Moboplayer sounds like I have it at ~50% when I actually have everything maxed out. It's pretty much useless to watch a movie where there is any other noise even with my in-ear phones that isolate sound.
I'm running the original Prime 1.5, not the revised kernel (no SoD issues here). So I'm getting a bit desperate here because of all the other little issues I've had to deal with this tablet... What can I do to resolve this?
I can't be the only one with this issue. Google Music's volume is more than sufficiently loud after installing Voodoo Control and maxing out everything. I originally thought my problem was limited to Moboplayer, but it's anything else besides Google Music. I've viewed my videos through Mobo, Rock, and the built-in MyNet app. I have normalized the audio stream to 100% for my videos, but even when set to "max" volume, it is nowhere near loud enough if there's any other noise in the environment.
I really want to like this tablet (and I do to some extent), but there's all these little issues with the software and some hardware that are really making me -__-
I can't say I have this issue but I can say that the sound quality sucks and even at the highest volume it is too low.
I installed Power AMP which has an equalizer with a Loud Speaker Out Pre setting which is louder than anything I have seen yet. It seems when you set your tab to this any other music player will pick it up and it is definitely louder.
Give it a try.
I'm currently running stock, un-rooted 3.18 from AT&T.
My speakers, both on the back and the earpiece, have extremely low volume. Even at max volume I have difficulty hearing phone calls anywhere that is not very quiet. Also, my ringtone and notifications are very quiet. Again, they're so quiet I generally don't hear them if I'm not in a moderately quiet setting with the phone face down nearby.
I don't seem to recall this being the case when I first got the phone. I also tried a couple different ROMs recently, but none of them seemed to help so I just went back to stock.
On a potentially related note, whenever I'm playing music and get a notification it gets played very softly in the background, and is often inaudible. If I get a call it pauses the music, though.
Any help with either or both of these issues would be greately appreciated.
This has happened to me a multitude of times while working out. I have headphones plugged in and about 20-25 minutes into my workout, the music I'm listening to (either Google Music or Spotify) will lower all the way to mute on it's own for no reason. I'll try and increase the volume wither by the rocker or on the screen, but it still lowers all the way down on it's own. After a while, I can increase it a bit, but then a minute back into it, it'll slowly start to lower again on it's own. I've turned off the safe mode so that you can't listen too loud...but that doesn't do anything. I thought it might have something to do with the orientation of the screen, so I turned that off as well. At times, it'll be ok and then one random day, it's like a ghost wants to mess around with me.
Just to add a note, this all started after I've rooted my phone and I've gone through 3 different ROMs (Cyanogenmod 11, SlimRom, and Purity Rom). Is this an issue with it being rooted? When I was on stock this wasn't an issue. Anyone else having this problem?
So i have a galaxy s6 with ultimate nougat custom rom ( here is a link forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/samsung-galaxy-s-6--s-6-edge-unified-development/rom-ultimate-nougat-s8-port-t3681259/amp/ ) from 6 months and i have installed viper4android since then, and the issue that i am having is that when viper is active using my in over the ear headphones razer electra v2 and turn up the volume over ~70% or to 100% the sound glitches for a split second and the music stops, and volume lowers automatically to ~20 and i have to unplug and plug the headphones again,
It does not matter what app am i using to listen to music, the headphones are brand new and work perfectly fine on any other device i tried them on, at the beginig there was no problem with them and since then i haven't installed or modified my phone in any way, normal in ear head phones work without problem on any volume, i tried with my roommate's steel series headphones that he is using daily and the same thing happens when i increase the volume more than ~70%. I tried to fix this by restarting my phone several times, removing viper and installing the newest version, and searched for any similar problems that someone else might have but no clue whatsoever. I am sorry if the topic is not for this section but im desperate.
[UPDATE] I have tried different settings and i disabled my sound alive app, and it didnt work, however i noticed that rhe problem ia not in the volume but its in the bass instead. I tried to listen songs that dont have that much bass in them with viper4android on and i had no issues, but when i play songs with bass in them, then the problem occurs. Playing songs with bass and viper4android off causes no problems.
could those headphones have built in volume limiters??
I dont know, but i doubt that they have because i tried other over the ear headphones, and the result is the same
Bump?
So basically what happens is as I play a song on any platform may it be spotify or youtube, the volume setting is on max and it plays like normal but then the actual 'volume' of the speaker reduces to barely anything. This also applies to anytime when the speaker is being used during calls as well on Loudspeaker. When I use it through bluetooth it's fine, so I'm guessing it's some software glitch. I also updated some apps a while ago so I figured it was that but no. Even after a factory reset to original settings it didn't work. Same thing.
Play something and it starts loud and clear and then 5 seconds later it slowly reduces the volume and stays low. Also I haven't rooted this phone yet, but if I have to I am willing.
