Working Google Pay with xposed - Samsung Galaxy S8 Guides, News, & Discussion

Cheers!
I have come up with with a solution to make Google pay work with xposed.
Steps to follow :
Uninstall xposed
Allow magisk to pass safetynet
Install google pay and setup cards
Install systemless xposed
Install "no device check" xposed module
Reboot and activate the "no device check" module
Cts profile = true
Basic integrity = false (in safetynet check)
But Google pay works!
Enjoy!

hi
very good workaround
thx

Have u actually tried to pay using this method??
When I got my phone I set up Google Pay and it all worked fine, however when it came to pay using it, the device would show a pop up saying something about the security of the device could not be checked and I could not use the facility.
Just asking, I'm not bothered about using it anyway
Sent from my OnePlus 5T using XDA Labs

I have only Magisk root and Google Pay works well, without xposed

Why not using the systemless module and turn it off when you need to pass safetynet

Yes.
You can do that.

This method does not work with the latest Google pay. I can set cards up but when I try to pay it tells me the card is no longer valid.
BTW I am trying it on a pixel 2 xl.

This does work with my GP v1.53.186. At first it didnt, but after 2 reboots with disable/enable it did

But when you try to pay with it you won't be able to.
So it doesn't work.

SafetyNet CTS Failed

Hello Guys, after I flashed the 20.7.9 EU Beta. I got Safety Net Failed. Is there any way to fix this issue? Thanks.
FYI. My phone is not rooted yet.
Now I already root my phone. And I got this
I wonder if this is related to hardware attestation?

Apparently, you forgot to hide your magisk with magiskhide in the option. That results in your basic integrity failed.
And for the ctsprofile part, since your evalType showed basic, you may give "Magiskhide props config" a try.
Or, you may just try eu dev 20.7.3, Several reported it passes safetynet check.
Hi all, I passed now the SafetyNet. I just use the MAGISK STABLE and use the command for Magisk Hide Props Config module.
Which commands you used and how exactly did you executed them?

Btw.
Device: Poco F2 Pro
Rooted Magisk Stable 20.4
ROM: Latest beta EU 7.9
Unfortunately doesn't work.
I am on rooted EEA btw.
Tried several fp's but no luck.
The hardware attestation is messing with us.

Give eu a try, they did some effort on the hw attestation or you may try alter some props to fake your phone to another model to get evalType basic.
Simply changing fp is not gonna help on this hw attestation thing.

I used google. Not Poco X2 or Poco f2 Pro. Dont use also magisk canary. Use stable one
Used Google XL3 and 4 and both did not work.
Also I tried to find in a logcat (after performing the safetynet check) if it states that attestation is hardware backed but couldn't find it in the logcat.
Edit: got Safetynet check to work.
In Playstore it still says "not certified" but safetynet check is now both ok.
Force closed manually Playstore app and it shows now "certified".

I saw your modules provided about hardware. But I'm not using that one.
Just try Busy Box only and Magisk Hide Props Config Modules and try also to Hide Your magisk manager and Hide your Banking apps as well.
PS: Ignore this reply if you're successfully and no issue with your safetynet check now. Thank you!
As posted I used the zip to change the model name and it works perfect and it shows certified.

In order for certain apps to work your device will need to pass safetynet check some apps include banking, entertainment and even a few games. You can check this from within Magisk Manger itself. Some custom roms do not support safetynet and therefore it will not pass while on those roms. However, most do such as LineageOS among others. If you need to pass safetynet then making sure software and vendor is updated is your first step, I don't know all the steps as I am unfamiliar with the process but this applies for any device with Magisk not just the OnePlus 7

Saftynet is okei... So what should i do now?
Considering your passing it, you may want to contact the devs of your rom on this one. Not sure why it wouldn't work even with a successful check but that is your best bet assuming your not on stock that is.
I have Oneplus 8 pro . and i have same problem,
the bank app updated their safety and the old way don't work.
also i pass saftynet.

You can hide it easily.
Just unlock bootloader first and then, erase nvdata.
Nvdata contains developer settings, like "oem unlock".
But, if you aready have an unlocked bootloader, the settings "oem unlock" doesn't change nothing.

On Xiaomi.eu i was able to get Google Pay contactless payments to work by enabling Magisk Hide for all Google apps incl. Pay, but I also had to install HideProps as well as this module: https://github.com/stylemessiah/GPay-SQLite-Fix
On stock it may not be all required. Test it out, some combination of this should work.
Thanks for help have a nice day and be safe

What fingerprint did you choose for the device props?
Any more advice on how ye got it working?

If you pass Safetynet, it shouldn't be needed to use the HideProps module.
I don't really use MIUI anymore but doublechecking Safetynet and using the GPay SQLite Fix module is usually the key for me to setting up GPay. You need to install a busybox module and reboot before installing the fix btw.

Netflix stopped working after root. help !

I think we can start with "Hello".
First of all, do you pass safetynet ? (Use the app "Yet Another Safety Net Attestation Cheecker YASNAC"
Did you use Magisk for root ?
Did you use Zygisk in Magisk ?
Did you put Netlix in exclusion list ?
You must be specific so that we can answer you.
And just because you're on a forum doesn't mean you shouldn't be polite.
Thanks and good day.

thanks ! it passes safetynet and fingerprint works too , but netflix is still not opening, and i can update its on playstore.
Try clearing storage from GMS, Play Store, and Netflix then reboot.

Some apps disappeared on the Play Store after I rooted my phone.

When I first rooted my phone, everything was fine but after a few days some apps started showing up as "This app won't work on your device"
It wouldn't be a problem since I can just download the APK's, but I need to use the Revolut app, it is only available as a mobile app and when you don't install it from the Play store, it just doesn't work.
Can anyone show me a workaround for this?
Maybe a way to trick play store into letting me download all the apps as usual
or a way to trick the app into thinking it's been installed from the play store.
I thought about locking the bootloader again (OEM) but it'll wipe all data, and I don't want that. Because it's been a few months since I rooted my phone and I have a lot of data.
My phone is Samsung Galaxy S10E - SM-G970F if this info means anything.
hmm, try unrooting it, install all apps you need, and then re-root it again.

you must pass safetynet as well as play integrity api in order for the apps to reappear. You can check this status by downloading the application YASNAC for safetynet status and Play Integrity API checker for checking play integrity status.
If your using magisk then you can flash safetynetfix module from here.
Flashing it should make the Basic integrity and cts profile check from False to true in yasnac
It should also turn Basic Integrity and Device Integrity from a Cross to a Tick
Strong integrity will always fail for rooted users. so forget abt that
Then go to apps > find playstore > storage > clear data
Open playstore again and you'll see an outdated UI dont worry it'll restore on the next app opening
in playstore then tap on your profile picture at the top right then go to settings. Scroll down and see if the device is play protect certified.
If it is the apps should reappear.
This is way too overkill tbh. you could just install Aurora store and call it a day since its litt playstore without accounts and stuff.

Yes but if I install it from the Aurora store I won't be able to use Revolut probably.
Also I installed the module, and though the YASNAC check has 2 ticks, the Play Integrity checker says failed on "Device integrity" and "strong integrity." What do i do then?

Actually there is a way to fix that as well.
First of all go to magisk then press the gear icon on top right then select Hide the Magisk app. Allow it to install unknown apps. Give it a good name Let it do its work. do not go to home or anywhere while it is reinstalling the apk as something else
Second of all download shamiko from here.
First make sure you have enforce denylist disabled in the magisk's settings. Yep disabled. if it is enabled toggle it off
Then flash shamiko and reboot. Now once you boot back into the system. Open magisk again (or the new reinstalled renamed magisk app) and go to settings and then go to configure denylist. Now find your app and press the checkbox
Now see if it bypasses the root detection. if not then clear all your apps in your recents and try again. This trick always helps to get around apps with root checks.
