I thought I would give update on what the Huawei Ascend can do now:

trouble
Know where I can download this ROM on the web? I'm having a devil of a time trying to install it following the guide. Ive done everything right, I think the download is bad.

Network Unlock Sky phones (Korean brand)

I discovered this method of unlocking Sky phones when my unlocked A690S became locked to Sun network after I finished updating its firmware. I realized that I did the update with the Sun sim installed.
Sky Station would not let me update again since my firmware is current. Going to the Sky website (w w w . i s k y . c o . k r), I stumbled upon a manual s/w update option (through trial and error since I can't read Korean).
Going to this address in Internet Explorer (must be IE):
h t t p:// d m f i l e . i s k y . c o . k r / N e w S e l f U p g r a d e / i n d e x . h t m l
I was able to do the update again (without installing ANY SIM).
When the update is finished, the phone is unlocked.
Important:
- Phone must be connected to PC and recognized (all drivers are installed)
- USB debugging is enabled
- Phone must be turned ON WITHOUT SIM
- Remove spaces from the links since I still cannot post links (sorry mods pls. delete the post if inappropriate)
I have successfully done this with A600S and A690S.

[Q] Student Account deploy [Found / Solved]

I rememeber that sometime ago I was at ChevronWP7 and I follow some links that had some deploy info. And I found a Thread with a .xap file and that .xap had a .reg like this

Anyone know if this .xap will work with student account, if it works anyone know where can I download the .xap I forgot the link.

That app is extremely out of date. It was from before the interop-lock, and uses drivers that won't work for HTC phones with recent (post-Mango) firmware even if you are already interop-unlocked. It never worked on Dell phones, and won't work on Nokias or gen2 Samsungs either.
In order to even install it, much less run it, you'll need to be interop-unlocked already. Since the interop-lock is controlled by the MaxUnsignedApp registry value, being able to use the app means you're already allowed to sideload at least 300 apps. In other words, if you *can* run this app, you don't need to.

Yep now I know, I open the .xml and there is the
<Capability Name="ID_CAP_INTEROPSERVICES" /> line...

Im looking for C D M A W O R k S H O P fully functional the c r a c k e d version i had doesnt work anymore i just need it to flash my phone not to profit off of someones work...the d e m o version doesnt work...i have tried looking for the links and have come up with nothing...thank you in advance.
