UX 6.1 - LG V20 Guides, News, & Discussion

So oreo is coming does that mean we are going to get the same ux as the lg v30? UX 6.1 with app shortcuts and more.

We wouldn't know because LG doesn't say anything.

If history is any indication we will get ux 6.1 when the V 10 and G5 were updated to 7.0 they r the same ux as the V20 has on 7.0

Miui rom for Note Edge

Since Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is out [same QHD resolution with our EDGE), i think there is a possibility to have a ported miui rom for us.
I am going to donate at least 20 euros to a developer for a fully working miui.
My last rom i used , is RRemix with MiHome launcher and it looked very smooth and nice.
What about your thoughts?Share your opinion here..
We'll have to wait till it's released for the Note 4 then hope some kind Edge developer ports it over for us.
TTHHEENN We could play around and try to implement TouchWiz features into MiUi!!! It's been done before, Note 2 and 3 and is possible cause MiUi uses TouchWiz framework somewhat.
Think about it  Edge Panels + MiUi, although I wished there was a way to hide all app shortcuts on the homescreen except those that ya choose to be visible so I'd add a app drawer or a nifty third party launcher like TSF Shell since it has a hidden dock...

Don't confuse the company No. 1 with the official Note 4 rom, it's a chinese cloned note.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/miui-7-samsung-note4almost-snapdragon-t3221861 This works since Note 4 rom's work on Edge, now for the bigger question...
Who's down for trying to port over our Edge panels, that'd make news I imagine if someone successfully did it, I bet!
The link above requires 4.4 modem and bootloader?

Havent had a miui rom since note 3. Besides, miui uses cyanogenmod as a base now, you will lose all note functionality. It was a great rom for notes before it changed to cyanogenmod.

ux 4.0 with quick shot for lg flex2?

I love the double tap quick shot feature from the lg g4 ux 4.0
In fact, i would drop the flex2 and buy a g4 just because of this.
So, android 6 is going to be released for flex2...
...BUT will it ship with ux 4.0 AND will it have hardware-support for quick shot capabilities?

This apps are extracted from Note UX beta rom for the N5 and are tested only on S6 but should work also on S7/N5. Probably also on S5/N4 better with S7 Ports.:good:

Is there a way to get the new UI for the Settings and Notification slide?

note 7 features on note 5?

Hello guys, would be possible to port the note 7 features to the note 5 as a flashable zip or we must flash a custom rom to got those things?
Thanks in advanced
Not going to happen on the 920P. No devs care about Sprint's Note 5 and have moved onto the Note 7
If you want Note 7 features, get a Note 7.
I'd rather see CM13 for the Note 5 than lame ass Note 7 features.
It will happen a full port no doubt about that but that will happen in the future a few months probably.

Thanks for this good news. Do you know if the Galaxy S7 will soon get this new interface (with android 7.1.1 for example), or if we have to wait for the android O update ?

You're welcome. I also asked them few days ago will S7 get 7 1.1 Nougat and they told me: "YES. BUT WE ARE NOT SURE WHEN". I hope that they will bring it with 7.1.1. Also they didn't say with what version will S7 get new UI. If I find out I will let you know.

Google is set to release the next iteration of its Android OS Android O on 21 August which is the day of the US total solar eclipse. While we are just a day away from the launch, most of the smartphone manufacturers are now gearing up to provide the new update to their recently launched smartphones. As such, one of the top brands Samsung is also preparing for the update and is looking forward to providing Android O for its smartphones with its Grace UI on top which will be better optimized to run the software smoothly. While the company has been a bit slow in providing updates, hopefully, this time Samsung rolls out the update at a much faster pace.
Looking at Nougat, Samsung got the first updates out to the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in China and the UK 143 days after Google released Android 7.0. The update took a grand total of 180 days to reach US shores, landing first on T-Mobile, followed by AT&T the day after and Sprint two days after that. Verizon hobbled across the finish line a couple of weeks later. -- What the actual f(*)ck, samsung?!
you might be right, mate!
Good news for s7 users. But android O is really worst than android N reported by some forums due to less root capabilites and different system structure.
