Hello, I own a Galaxy S6 G920F, I bought it new 2 yeas ago.
Everything started like 2 months ago, I let it charge overnight and next day when I unpluged it, the red led was on even when I unpluged it and the screen wasn't turning on. Ok, I force restarted it and every was good. After that I get crashes from youtube, google play services, olx.ro (like ebay for romania), zedge.
When I want to add an account on youtube I get Google Play Services has crashed. If I want to watch a video on youtube app, it plays like 2-4 minutes and after I get Youtube has stopped working. If I wanna add a google account in settings or playstore, same Google Play Services has stopped working error.
In games is not crashing, in facebook, instagram, browser, waze and other apps is working just fine, i don't get it
Once a day (or often) it just freezes completly and autorestart after 1 minute.
I tried many custom roms like Ultimate nougat s8 rom, miui port, lineageos and all of them crashed apps and some of them even restarting after 2-3 minutes of usage
I just wanna know if I can fix this or is my motherboard bad or something. I was planning to buy a motherboard for like 50 euros and swap it but maybe you guys can help me fix it :good:
Sorry for my bad english and ty for your time!
disconnect all the cables from the mother board and reconnect them

I have Moto G unlocked single sim no sd slot version bought directly from google in USA. Phone is NOT rooted.
A couple of weeks ago I got OTA update 4.4.3, since then it has been randomly crashing e.g.
- I am on phone for 30+ minutes using earphone, then suddenly (without me even touching my phone) I see it rebooting automatically
- Google maps makes it hang very very frequently. To get anywhere I have to get directions at least 3 times. Sometimes the app freezes, sometimes phone crashes
I have seen following apps crash - dialer, google maps, waze
I have not seen following apps crash - Camera, viber, whatsapp, chrome, clock, tinder, settings
As mentioned elsewhere, I have also booted in recovery mode and cleared system cache, but it did not stabilize the phone.
Anybody else has this issue?

I just bought an LG G2 about a week ago. it worked fine until 3 days in when google play wouldn't properly download apps. for example:i downloaded facebook and it ran through the first 87% of the download in just under 30 seconds, but once it hit 88% it sat there for an hour before it finished then installed which took another 20 minutes. only, it isn't just facebook, it does this for every single app i've downloaded since. getting the app isn't impossible, but damn near and i have to be able to dedicate an hour of my life just to download 1 app. i went to my local VZW store and they suggested backing up all my data(already have been) and doing a factory reset on it. if the factory reset doesn't work, then am i going to have to spend 5 hours re-downloading all of the apps? or do they also get backed up? any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. other than that the phone works perfectly fine. just google play being a silly little *****. thanks guys/gals.
Hello dear forum,
something weird happened to my One S 2 days ago and I would need your help, since I am, not very smartphone-savvy. I will try to describe the problem as detailed as possible.
It is important to mention, that since a few months the phone's USB connection didn't work properly (I can charge the phone on the PC, but it won't be recognised as a device by the PC). Also the phone doesn't seem to have an SC card?? I never really noticed this, but now it puts an obstacle in my way cause there is no easy way to recover my gallery etc.
While I was manually updating my apps (at the time of the happening: WhatsApp and Skype), I suddenly got the popup message "Google Play store stopped working". I wiped recent apps and started the play store again. Suddenly, various apps (Google Drive, Gmail, Play Store, Clean Master, you name it..) all stopped working and I got a huge amount of these "stopped working"- popup messages, including "android.process.acore has stopped working".
It was impossible to get rid of the messages, because they kept appearing over and over again on the screen.
I tried to restart the phone, which didnt fix the problem. It seemed like my apps just kept crashing over and over. I rebooted again after a while and everything seemed fine. My data was also still there and wifi worked too.
But then the phone froze. I tried restarting it via the hardware button. Since then, the phone seems dead. It only starts when connected tot he charger, but always keeps freezing at the "HTC One S" startup screen.
Now I mentioned the USB connection was not working properly even before this happened. I still tried plugging the phone into the PC, and it seemed to be searching for drivers for a certain "QHSUSB_DLOAD".
I have no idea what this means and would like to ask you for suggestions on what to do (or if there is anything I could do at all). I don't have much hope, but the best case scenario for me at this moment would be to have my photos recovered.
Thank you VERY much for your suggestions, it will be hugely appreciated!

Hey there!
I need some help solving a problem with Google Play Store, which only keeps coming up with "Check your connection and try again".
My Google account is logged in. I've tried on wifi, 3G, 2G, etc. and that doesn't seem to be the issue.
I recently had some major problems with an old CM nightly, which caused me to go back to earlier versions, I'm presently on the Snapshot M11 (4.4 Kitkat).
In the process I somehow "lost" Google Play Store itself, even after various reinstall, clean wipes, flashing GAPPs, etc.
So in the end I downloaded the Play Store APK, and installed that way. But, I still think that this may be the problem.
Sorry if it sounds like a bit of a noob issue, but I've been messing with this and spending far too much time on solving it lately.
So, any help really appreciated! Thanks!
Dead
So ...
A few days ago the battery started draining super fast, all out of juice after about 30 minutes. On a trip to the airport -- dead.
And not just dead, try to charge up and no sign of life at all. It's looking like a brick right now.
Any good threads that deal with a situation like this?
I started my Galaxy S6 920I battery issues a long time ago and couldn't find any help without rooting or tripping knox, so here's how I went back to a normal state. I want to share my experience with you guys and maybe help someone who's desperate like me.
UPDATE: 5.1.1 India OTA came 2 days ago and my problem is solved now. No more deep sleep isues.
device: 920I on Stock 5.1.1 India (G920IDVU2COF8), Brazil on VIVO network.
problem: "Android OS" process show up eating almost 50% of my battery, even on idle. I couldn't even get through the day. If I went to sleep and just left my phone alone with wifi, data, gps off and all apps closed, I would wake up with a dead phone.
conditions: I didn't want to void Knox since I think I can still use my warranty for something, even though Samsung offers a pretty lame service here in Brazil.
background: I've read basically everything regarding this subject and nothing seemed to work for me. Wiping cache, factory resetting, nothing.
method:
STEP 1: ERASING IT ALL
My phone came with stock 5.0.2 and I updated to 5.1.1 (Trinidad and Tobago) via Odin hoping it would solve my problems. It didn't, at all.
I decided to do a full wipe and flash 5.1.1 India just to see if the problem was relying on the ROM itself
When my phone started, I added my google account, normal setup, and then started disabling the useless Samsung features like motion gestures and Wifi always scanning
I DID NOT download any app from the play store, I decided to get them back gradually in order to try to find the problem.
I started disabling every app I though it was safe to to so. Here's the list: ANTT Radio Service, ANT + Plugins Service, Brefing, Dictionary, Drive, Dropbox, Facebook, Galaxy Apps, Galaxy Apps Widget, Google Play Books, Google Play Games, Google Play Movies & TV, Google Play Newsstand, Google +, Hancom Office Viewer, Instagram, Live Weather, Memo, Messages, Messenger, OneDrive, OneNote, Peel Smart Remote, S Beam, S Health, S Planner, S Voice, Samsung Galaxy, Samsung Push Service, Skype, Hangouts
I Kept basically Whatsapp, Hangouts, Play Music, Gmail and updated them through Play Store
Downloaded Google Keyboard since I hate the samsung one
Then I went to sleep with 15% battery. Woke up with 15% battery. Good job.
STEP 2: PUTTING INTO TEST
I woke up and charged the phone until 100%. Got our of home, wifi and data off.
I commuted for 60 minutes while listening to cached Play Music songs. Made some calls. Turned data on, used some whatsapp. Battery still on 94% at the end. Seemed ok.
When I arrived at work, I decided to enable instagram and Hangouts back and check on it again. My battery was on 92%.
1 hour later, my battery was 80% and "Android OS" was at the top of draining list again. Nightmare.
Uninstalled instagram. 1 hour later I had a drop of 3% without touching the phone. Android OS still on the top.
Uninstalled Hangouts and enabled default samsung Messages app. Answered some whatsapp chats and left the phone sleeping, didn't touch it. 1 hour later, battery dropped by 2% with Android OS on top.
Restarted and wiped cache. Things went back to normal.
NEXT STEPS
It seems like there's some serious bug with the apps, but somehow there's s System bug that needs to be sweeped with a cache wiping. That's the continuous process I need to be doing on regular basis.
I wonder, would it be that simple? A simple app making continuous requests to Android System and putting it on top of the draining list, hogging all of my battery on idle for nothing?
Anyone had the same problem?
Most likely a defective battery. Return your S6 back to Samsung telling them of your extensive tests as supporting evidence and request for a warranty repair/replacement.
