Greetings!
I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm having a hard time with this. I was carrying my galaxy S6 on my pocket, and when I got it out I saw that it was stuck on this screen: https:// i.imgur.com/DnddzrR.png
The phone won't turn off. I've tried to hold the power button for a long time, but nothing happens. The only two combinations that work are vol- & power (which reboots the phone, but that's it) and vol- & power & home, which puts it into download mode.
I can't get into the recovery, no matter how I try. Since the only thing I can do is go into download mode, I've tried downloading the stock firmware in sammobile and flashing it with odin, and while the flashing went well and there wasn't any error, the phone is still stuck in the same screen.
I'm not sure what to do or what happened. Please ask me for any info that might be relevant or help.
Press vol up down and lock button and hold all 3 together wait for turn off then try to boot in recovery if it restarts it self then do it again but then after its turn off just hold vol up
I've tried that a lot of times, but no matter for how long do I press the buttons or with buttons do I press, it's still stuck in that screen. Seriously, the only two things that work are download mode and soft reboot.

Alright so here's the issue. I was about to flash the latest CM using ClockworkMod, before it restarted it asked for superuser permissions which I had already granted before which seemed odd to me. I set down my phone after this to let it do its thing after this and when I picked it back up it was off and wouldn't come back to life. It's bricked.
When I try to power it on, it shows the Samsung logo and then goes black and then nothing. If I hold down the vol+, power and home to get to recovery it will show the Samsung Galaxy S3 logo then goes black, then shows the samsung logo again, then goes black and stays there. If I do vol-, power and home, it asks to press vol+ or vol-, so I press vol+ to get to Odin. It shows the Odin screen for about 5 seconds and then it goes black and stays black.
So basically, I can't boot, get to recovery, or get to odin long enough to actually use it. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Sounds like it is time for a replacement. I had a Thunderbolt that did the same thing and couldn't fix it because the phone will not stay on long enough to do anything.
The problem started when I was on my bootloader that simply said "Downloading Do Not Turn Off Target" and I held the power button down to reboot since I didn't see any other way to cancel that screen. From then on, my phone kept restarting over and over again. Basically, it shows the "Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge" logo then turns off and shows a blank screen for two seconds then turns on again repeatedly. If I hold the power button, volume up and home button or just volume up and home button, the phone states "Installing system update" on the screen and goes to the menu that allows me to reboot the phone, clear cache, shut down, factory reset and so on. I tried factory resetting and clearing cache over and over again with no luck. I tried to install custom firmware by holding volume down, power button and home button and going into the bootloader and using odin but still no luck. Every guide suggested that the phone has a stuck power button but the tap methods don't work and I'd like to confirm that's the problem before I take my phone apart to replace that power button.
The thing that confuses me is that when I go into the menu with the options for rebooting, clearing cache, etc. the power button works fine. Whenever I want to shut down the phone, I can click the volume up and select the "Shut Down" option and then clicking the power button to confirm and it does shut off the phone. How would the power button be the issue if it works fine afterwards?
So would the conclusion be to replace the power button flex or is it a software issue? Or is my phone bricked after having it for three months?
(The problem's lasted for two days now)
Sorry, wrong thread.

Yea, stock firmware should do it. If you can get into recovery it's definitely not your power button.
Please help me! I own a galaxy s6 (international model, official, not rooted) which is stuck in a boot loop from hell. The led is white (not the usual "boot-up blue") and won't change colour or even turn off. It was the last straw a few hours ago when it randomly restarted, got stuck halfway through the Samsung logo and started making the loudest noise I've ever heard it produce. It was NOT a vibration. Ever since then, it has just been stuck and keeps restarting. When it does get past the "Samsung Galaxy S6" screen it just says 'no command' with the android lying on its back. I'm at a complete and utter loss. It's actually done this a few times this week, but I've always been able to at least boot it into safe mode and uninstall snapchat - which I think is the cause of all this. I can't power off the device, and even when the battery drains completely, the same 'no command' screen appears as soon as it's plugged in. I can't boot it in recovery mode as I can't get it to switch off. I think it may be battery related or even motherboard related. I can't even seem to bypass the 'no command screen. It's just sitting on my floor, charging, overheating and looking all smug. Frankly, I'm pretty damn close to hurling it out of my window.
Also, does anyone know WHY the led is sometimes white or yellow during a boot loop on newer Samsung Phones?
Put the phone in download mode by holding Power + Home + Volume Down buttons. Plug in to Odin and Flash Official Firmware or use SmartSwitch

Thanks but I've tried this several times. The device seems to be completely unresponsive to all commands except a force restart (power key and volume down). I can't put it in download mode or even power it off
have u tried using smart switch emergency firmware recovery? power key and volume down should force it to power down, than enter download mode vol down + home + power key.

Whenever I use this combination of keys it just restarts and it doesn't even show up on Smart Switch when connected to my mac
if you are not be able to take your phone to download mode then repair center is the only solution.

Yeah. It looks like I have no other choice
I think my phone has gone forever, but I'd like to check here if someone can save it.
I've been using this phone for 3 years, no changes besides OTA updates. Suddenly, screen froze and I held POWER button until it turned off. Then it rebooted and showed honor powered by android in blue background. It shows only that screen for a minute or so and then reboot again. If I hold POWER button, it'll reboot again (it won't turn off). The only combination of keys that produces different result is combo of VOL UP + VOL DOWN + POWER, which will turn screen black, then vibrate and then turn off (if I release keys before it vibrates, it'll start over).
I tried to put dload\UPDATE.APP in sdcard and nothing happened. I also tried all combinations described in a post I found in modaco forum (www[dot]modaco[dot]com/forums/topic/377629-honor-8-button-combinations-clarified/) and I don't get any other result besides what I described before.
Is there any way to fix it??
Did you try to press power and vol- ? When it boot, release power and keep your finger on vol- while connecting to a computer using USB. Normally, you should access to fastboot
EDIT: Oh sorry, in hurry I have not pay attention to the website you quote :'(
My phone stopped working all of a sudden since last night, it was just sitting on the side idle and all of sudden it started showing a black samsung screen and hung and did not respond to any touch or anything else, At this point pressing powering button alone did not turn off the device, so I remembering pressing all of the button simultaneously and that turned off the phone but since then it wont turn on at all. I cant recall if the phone was on charge or not before it hung. But I am 100% battery was charged at least 70%.
After all that, I have tried all the possible combination of hard resetting this phone and still no luck to get it to power up.
Left the phone to charge overnight and in the morning tried restarting again with all the possible combination and still no luck to power up. I am clueless now.
Please let me know what could be the issue?
Any help would be appreciated
Update on the situation:
So Today I tried turning on the phone again and I pressed power+Volume Down+Home button and the phone started and it took me to the download mode. However when I pressed the up button it did not restart and stayed off, I pressed and held the same combition of buttons which are Power+Volume down+Home button then it took me to download mode again but I could not do much other than uploading a new firm to the phone which I did not want to do that. So I decided to restart it again by pressing the up button and it powered off and this time I went and pressed and held Power+Volume up+Home button and it did not do anything I tried this couple of times and still did not do anything. So I tried Power+Volume Down+ Home button and this time the device did not power up again.
At least now I know its not the hardware and some software glitch or a stuck loop.
Can someone please help me with this.
Thanks a lot Guys.
Update again:
Right after putting in the charging cable then the phone started up again and now the phone is showing an android blue screen "No Command" Pressing and holding Power+Up buttons do not bring it into the recovery mode? Please let me know thanks
