I wish to purchase a dual sim android phone (most likely samsung)
Is there an app/ or samsung dual sim phone which does the following...
if I wish to call a contact stored in sim memory of either sim card. the call will only be initiated from the sim card it is stored in..rather than giving me an option every time to choose a sim for calling.
Hey, my sim card two (2) is like 'LOCKED' on GSM only on 4636 menu, but... I've selected LTE in the network type in settings and due to that I'm getting EDGE(E) instead of LTE(4g) some some unknown reasons.
Plus, my sim card one is not detecting sim cards, it used to before... is there any sim card lock or something?
Hoping to get this fixed. Thank you for readin' my problem.
Shikhar.
It doesn't seem to matter how I set the default SIM in the Dual Management settings. The SIM physically installed in slot 1 will always make the calls. If I try to set calling default to SIM 2, it still goes to SIM 1. The only way I can make calls with the other SIM card is to physically swap them. Is it supposed to work this way? If so, what is the dual SIM management settings for?
I have a FreedomPop SIM in one and a T-Mobile one in the other.
Hi,
I have a oneplus 7 and my wife has one too. We bought the same phones, and are both subscribed to the same operator (Sosh - France). We have the same OOS version (10.0.6.GM57BA), rooted and having the same xXx config.
I don't have problems with my phone.
On my wife's phone, a problem appeared some time ago :
The sim card is in the phone and the phone has network.
After some time, the phone shows "mobile network not available", and the status bar shows icons as if there was no sim card (for the 2 slots).
Looking in the SIM & network settings while the issue is present, I see :
SIM1 : inactive
SIM2 : No SIM
Without reboot :
Opening the SIM slot : SIM1 -> "No SIM".
Reinserting the SIM slot : the phone asks for the SIM PIN, and connects to the mobile network for a few seconds. Then same happens again.
Removing/reinserting again on the same slot or the other slot : "No Sim Card"
A phone reboot solves the problem, but it appens again after some time.
The problem is becoming more and more frequent.
Does someone already had this problem ? Tips on solutions ?
Hi, just an update in case.
I added a 2nd sim card (subscription no more valid), and when the main SIM was becoming inactive, the other one was still active.
Went to the operator who changed the SIM and the problem does not occur anymore.
did you find a solution

Hi,
as I said in the 2nd comment, it was the SIM card defective, I changed it.
My phone uses only one sim card where the data default is set and the other sim card loses network what could be the issue

Have you enabled dual sim card setting in the settings?
