Anyone have a CM9 mirror? - Droid 2 Global General

I keep hearing of this mythical stable CM9 build (working keyboard, working GSM, working video record)
and I gotta say, I am jealous. Any mirrors?

I found the link: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=24148
And you so did delete your reply sneaky : c
On a side note, is there anything I can add to the D2 rom to make it work with GSM? I assume it's just some telephony apks I can swap and some settings in network settings (*#*#4636#*#*) that I can configure, maybe some file edits? I love this phone as it makes a great music player (durable, decent battery life when underclocked, decent display considering the age), but having it as a backup phone to my Photon Q would be neat too, and maybe using it as a daily driver for a week just for fun.

[Q] Would post in Developers Forums but need at least 10 Posts.....

I did a search and could not readily find the answer......
Is Gapps.zip also required with DJ ICS+ V1.0.3 also?
I root and upgraded my Sam Tab 10.1. It required Gapps.zip. Also it also auto downloaded all of the apps from my Marketplace library. On the Skyrocket each apps has to be re-downloaded. Would installing Gapps.zip, if even possible on the Skyrocket, add any missing baseline apps and do the auto download of the library?
TIA,
Rob
Nope you don't need gapps

same thing, google wouldnt restore anything I had unless I was using AOSP or something cm7.
So been using DJ ICS+ V1.0.3 for a while now. The aesthetics are excellent and it appears to be very stable. So I have to say the folks that worked on this did a really good job. However, benchmarking this load shows about a 20% decrease in performance compared to a stock 2.3.5, even when clocked at 1.7Ghz versus the stock 1.5Ghz.
I could be doing something error but the load works very well. Perhaps FauxClock is not working correctly.
The numbers from AnTuTu are:
Stock 2.3.5 - 6053
DJ ICS+ V1.0.3(2.3.6) - 4834
This is apparently not a full ICS build which is fine it has a good look and feel but it is at the expense of some performance.
So before the flames start, I am not complaining. Just merely pointing out some fact for anyone looking to some this or the new to be updates load(rom).
I would have posted this in the development forum but still don't have 10 posts.....
FWIW,
Rob

Your thread would have been deleted if your question had been posted at the development forums. That is why we have Q&A forums. This is the right place to ask you questions.
Please familiarize yourself with the XDA Forum Rules.
Good you didn't have 10 posts to make your question there yet, didn't you
Ok, being part of several forums that rule is certainly not intuitive.
So since this is the correct forum post how about a response?
Seems like the folks creating the ROM would be interested in the feedback and be best to provide some insight. Don't seem to be getting it here.....
Or did I miss the response?
Also, I read the rules and I did not see anything that would suggest that this post in the Developers Forums would have been removed. Do the rules change as the moderators deem fit???????

it has nothing to do with the ROM. it is a Touchwiz based rom and thus you will have the exact same issues as any other touchwiz based rom when it comes to your apps....
I was thinking of installing the gapps for the same reason. Not so much the apps for me, but on my AOSP phones/roms google saved all my wifi passwords that alone is worth checking out because I have a lot that are a pain in the ass to enter on a phone.

Pantech Pocket Info/root/Tweaks/enable tetherining etc

disclaimer
im not responsible if you mess up your phone its on you man i didnt and to tell you the truth there is not much risk here but always be careful
ok if this is in the wrong section mods please move it,
so i recently purchased a pantech pocket for the meantime until i get my new note 2 =) if you have a pantech pocket you should read up on this...
i had a hard time trying to find things for the pocket but i managed to do a little bit of tinkering myself.
first you have you pantech and you want root right?? Shortfuse.org download superoneclick. and bam your done
ok next, our phones have the ability to create a wireless hotspot but you normally have to talk to At&t and pay an extra service a month for it....not anymore ha just download secret codes revealer from the play store, run app, click search codes, then click list codes search for "softapactivation" click on it, click launch code, now there will be 4 checkboxes, check all of them except for "check to return APN failed" click save and thats it! this method works best if you get a widget to enable tethering after.
last but not least, our pockets, lol, are preloaded with flash player 10.3, i recommmend deleting it with an app likle rom manager, and download the latest apk of flash 11. make sure you have unchecked unknown sources and install and you know have latest flash player to watch your...errmm *adult videos*... haha
oh almost forgot, you can also edit your build prop with these additional entries
found here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1560588
i have not tried all of them but the ones i have tried are infact working and make the phone smoother.
currently there are no custom roms or kernels for the pantech pocket but with these steps your phone will definetly feel better and work better as well any questions please feel free to ask away, much love and light xda community

[TEST] Root Call Blocker/ Call Master/ Project Delta needs help with issues on RI JB

Hi guys. Im one of the developers of Root Call Blocker and a number of other apps using a custom build root telephony layer. There have been recent reports of our apps behaving badly with the new official JB updates.
We need people to check whether this is true - especially people with CDMA devices which we have no access to. Either way, please download the free versions of the apps in question (look at bottom of post for links) and perform some simple tests:
- call yourself from blocked numbers
- text yourself from blocked numbers
- mms yourself from blocked numbers (CM/Delta only)
If something seems to be working fine, please try again just in case. If you have problems, go to Settings and find the "Write to us" item. Once you click on it, be sure to mention in the description field that youre from xda - just put XDA TEST or something.
If you can, please try to include the number that was supposed to be blocked - the logs consist of thousands of lines, so that will help a lot.
Root Call Blocker - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fahrbot.apps.rootcallblocker.beta
(trial allows one item, you can use groups to block more)
Call Master - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fahrbot.apps.blacklist
(this one is completely free)
Thanks in advance. Also, you can write about problems here if you like!
There is no JB out for the RazR i. As soon as it will be released, i'm jumping in
BTW: There is no CDMA Version of the RazR i. It's GSM only (correct me if i'm wrong)

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.
Who is Team Carbon?

Remember, every penny you send to us goes right back into the rom. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us! If you've enjoyed Carbon, please consider a donation toward this goal. Thank you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Carbon!

i noticed a bug
1. getting a force close if i try to write something with the AOSP display keyboard and try to use "swyping".
2. on cm11 there was a quick settings tile for the quick settings menu, with which you could change data connectivity (2g, 3g, 2g/3g). i couldnt find it, is it really "missing" ?
3. some missing german translations (example for the display brightness menu, there you can adjust the settings or the complete "Carbon Fibers" option and its menues).
i am currently on carbon kitkat nightly from 02.02.2014.

Look for a tile named NETWORK MODE. I'm not using this ROM, but CM and many other teams integrate this tile with this name.

Yes, I know what you mean. You must understand I do not have a GSM device, and this is not available for us. I had another user check who is on GSM, and it seems we are in fact missing this tile... I could only find LTE tile and Mobile Data tile. Should be easily added, I'll look into it.

[MOD] Spotify tablet mode

Good evening!
If you're reading this, then you for sure know what Spotify is. We all love listening to music and, ugh, that's the synonym of Spotify!
Unfortunately, this work could be used for two fully opposite reasons, one of which is against the XDA rules, so I had no other choice but to close this thread (and remove links). I hope you understand me and sorry for the inconvenience.
Feel free to read the history below. It was a fun ride!
Time ago, the app landed on our lovely Android platform for both tablets and phones and honestly who wasn't excited?
Soon after, forced shuffle mode and limited number of skips were also introduced and I agree that there must be a reason to purchase Premium after all. Luckily, this restriction was not enabled on tablets, but a problem that appears is that far from all tablets are detected as ones - mainly the "smaller" ones. This [bug/miss-code] activates the restriction on your tablet, and as a fix was needed from either side, here was my solution.
This mod was created for all those "small tablets" that are incorrectly recognized so that you can use Spotify the way it was meant to be used.

Regarding Facebook log in issue:
The signature/private hash (or not) of this app was not matching the original one Spotify had registered on Facebook. Absolutely understandable since this was a modified version.
As suggested by Romain12345 (thank you!), can you log in with your Facebook credentials instead of clicking on the "Log in with Facebook" button.

MEGA is never down, it only needs the app for android if you want to download from phone. That's the reason I personally won't mirror.
About installing, you need to have "Unknown sources" enabled in your Security settings. Then just open the APK and install it as normal. If you still can't figure it out check YouTube for thousands of tutorials.
Server is down

I've downloaded the apk for mega, and also tried to access the website. But it refuses to open the website or allow me to login to the app. Hence the servers are actually down. Op if possible can u post it on a different cloud?. Thank you for this amazingly brilliant apk!

Op u can as well check again, it's no longer a news that mega is down for now. You see people testifying. You can check up urself
@ViRb3 It doesn't work on gingerbread android again...
I think it's a problem of apk version because on Google play it was written that the version varies with device.
So please If you give me your email, I'll send the last apk version of spotify compatible with gingerbread to you.

OP I could possibly kiss you all day and it wouldn't be enough. Worked like a charm.
Also the server seemed to be down only in parts around the world. So anyone being unable to connect simply use a VPN. Works perfectly with a VPN.
Though it is currently up again.
Op finally I got it downloaded. Thanks so much but I have a question. Is it possible for me to download for offline for free with this mod?

Absolutely not. I am not "hacking" Spotify and making it Premium-free and that will never be my aim. I am just making it possible to run in tablet mode on smaller tables.
Works like a charm, thank you
Logged-in with facebook, why does the op state it's not working
