Hi there XDA-developers
After trying to flash my device ZC550KL with Lineage 15.1 my phone became hardbrick, the phone wasn´t charging, no leds, no logo only a driver bulk under device manager.
After a research i decide to buy a EDL cable and finally found the firmware to flash with QFIL i install the qualcomm driver 64 bits and disable the drivers signatures on my windows 7, next i install the driver for qualcomm 64 bit and appears on my device manager the driver is installed (Qualcomm 9008). Then i decide to flash with qfil and went ok.
After the flash with qfil appear the leds of charging, vibrate, but still no logo.
Next i use Asus Flash Tool and use stock rom (ZC550KL_V12.8.10.56_M3.1.33_WW_Phone-user.raw) and flash with no erros under de software Asus Flash Tool but on my mobile nothing happens.
Now when i try to power up my phone appears a red light on the charging leds.
Any ideas in what i should do next.
Best Regards

Recently i tried flashing cwm recovery using sp flash tools. I followed an online tutorial which asked me to specifically download the boot. Img (patched) and recovery. Img, which was cwm. I insatlled all the drivers as asked then I turned off my device as asked and connected the device using usb cable after pressing the download button on sp flash tools. After a few seconds i saw the red line which is the starting of the flashing process, and then i received an error 'b_rom error" or something like that... I forgot, i dont have screenshot .
The phone is not responding since then, but when i connect the phone to my laptop the phone is recognised as 'mediatek da com port' but this driver doesnt work if i want to flash the stock rom using the sp flash tools, the internet says that i need the 'mediatek preloader driver' which is supposed to appear for 2 seconds in the device manager section and dissapear, but alas this doesnt appear in my case, and i guess this is really important for flashing the stock rom using sp flash tools. I tried many ways to install the mtk preloader driver but even of it installs it is not compatible with my device. I cant find this driver and hence i cant bring my phone back from the dead
If any member could help me here i would be really thankful , i have the stock rom downloaded and all the drivers as asked in various tutorials so i am helpless now. Please someone respond to this thread...
My device is xolo 8x 1000i with mediatek 6592 octacore chip.
Thankx ahead

If you can see DA VCOM port when u connect the phone that means there is no need of mtk preloader to appear. You can try flashing the stock firmware.
If you really want to see mtk preloader 65xx, then right click on DA vcom port and click uninstall drivers. Then you will see mtk preloader 65xx for 2 seconds everytime you connect the phone.
Gud luck

Somehow I have managed to brick my new cubot S550.
I wanted to update the rom so I headed to needarom and downloaded the appropriate rom and followed the instructions but somewhere along the line by pressing the vol keys and the power key the screen has gone black. This was done before I used any flash tools or install any drivers.
when I did plug it into the computer it was initially being seen as an unknown device but now I managed to install some drivers and it shows up as mediatek DA USB VCOM (android) (COM 5) I can install other drivers such as mediatek PreLoader USB VCOM Port and MTK USB Port and they seem to install but only after I untick show compatible hardware. When that is ticked then only mediatek DA USB VCOM shows in the list so I assume the state it is in is mediatek DA USB VCOM (android) (COM 5).
Unfortunately when I follow the instructions on needarom it throws up the error message S_COM_PORT_OPEN Fail(1013) so the flash tool obviously cannot communicate with the phone. This is the same even if I install the drivers as mediatek PreLoader USB VCOM.
The instructions on needarom are sort of wrong anyway because it instructs you to remove the battery etc but it is not a phone that has a removable battery.
I have two main questions.
How can I update the rom or failing that how can I get it off this black screen? I have tried different version of pressing the power button and vol keys and nothing is working.

Hi,
I had a quite similar problem. I tried to flash recovery with SP flash tool, but nothing happened. Eventually I gave up and tried to turn on the phone without success. So I charged the phone for a while and tried several combinations of holding power and volume up button for a while, also without success. It turned out that it did not charge at all. Strangely enough the following worked:
Connect the phone to a charger -> Press Power and Volume up -> Unplug charger while holding Power and Volume up
This launched the bootloader. After a few seconds it turned off again. But now I was able to charge the phone again and after a short while the regular charging icon appeared. Now I can boot it up as usual.
Hopefully it works for you as well!
Hi everyone,
I recently got the new UMI MAX and i would like to root the phone.
The problem is : when I plug my phone (switched off) in the usb port for flashing (TWRP Recovery) with SP Flash Tool in download mod, nothing happens but the phone start charghing (the battery is unremovable). Yet, all my my Mediatek drivers are installed correctly (I guess). Windows also tells that the USB device is not recognized.
-Device : UMI MAX
-OS : Windows 8 64bit
-Software : SP Flash Tool
I may have missed some important information so ask me for details if needed

Greetings and welcome to assist. Some models you have to press one of the volume buttons while connecting to USB but most of them don't need it and you mustn't press any of the buttons.
There is a guide here

if you are still having problems ask the experts there to see if they can help
Good Luck

Hi everyone,
I have a second device as LG_G2 D802 and i gave it to a my friend. He said he rooted it and after a while bricked it.
Phone is not turning on normally, lights green and blue, LG logo appears and after a short while the phone is restarting. I can only enter download mode.
I've tried some options with using XDA topics but i couldn't solve it unfortunately. The last situation is: pc doesn't detect phone in download mode.
With short circuit, sometimes it seems as Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 9006, sometimes Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 in device manager.
I used SRK TOOL for 9006, it finished successfully but when i unplugged phone and plug battery and plug usb and enter in download mode, pc didn't detect phone, any devide, etc.
I used Boarddiag for 9008, AP TEST: Successful EMMC TEST: Successful SDRAM TEST: Successful, all process is successful. But again, in download mode, PC doesn't detect anything of the phone.
In the videos I watched, after successful SRK TOOL or Boarddiag processes, pc must detect phone in download mode but the same thing didn't happen to me
I used Win 8.1 64 bit and Win 7 X86, but same thing happened. Stuck in pc detecting problem in download mode. I installed drivers, too.
Is there anything that can be done about it?
Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks.
Hi,
I've a Doogee S68 Pro that had a corrupt bootloader and crashed as soon as the Doogee welcome screen came up. I couldn't access the recovery boot loader so downloaded SP flash and started to format and download the firmware. This didn't go well and now the screen is black and doesn't show anything. When connected to my PC the phone keeps connecting and disconnecting all the time and the SP Flash doesn't download to it, presumably as the pc connects and disconnects...
Any one any ideas ?
UPDATE
Phone still has black screen and doesn't even show up when using platform tools adb devices.
When I plug the phone into a USB slot it shows up as a USB serial device or a DA VCOM device. SP Flash will start the DA side but comes up with an Error Hash Mismatch ?
I'm thinking this is now an expensive paper weight ?
