Google Pixel (2016) bootloop. (Android 8.1/Feb security patch)(Locked bootloader) - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

I left my phone to charge overnight. And the next morning, My phone gets into bootloop. I was able to turn it off manually through fastboot by using (holding power button + volume down key simultaneously).
My Phone able to get into Fastboot and Recovery mode, So I tried the following troubleshooting:
1. Factory reset through recovery mode. (No luck)
2. Flash latest factory image. (Bootloader locked)
3. Rescue OTA. (No luck)
Phone will still bootlooping. My phone totally unusable now. I can't RMA because I live in Singapore and bought this phone from Singapore (online marketplace) about 1 year + ago.
Here is the result after typing "fastboot getvar all" command:
(bootloader) current-slot:a
(bootloader) slot-retry-count:b:2
(bootloader) slot-unbootable:b:no
(bootloader) slot-successful:b:yes
(bootloader) slot-retry-count:a:2

So this means you have Verizon version and cannot unlock BL?

Yes, It's a Verizon version and the bootloader can't be unlocked.

I used a hairdryer on the back to heat it up to get into developer options and quickly check allow unlock before it rebooted. I am still getting things fully restored but it's closer.

Need help to unlock bootloader SHARP Aquos S2

Hello!
Device: smartphone Sharp Aquos S2 (FS8010), Snapdragon 630, 4/64 Gb.
Problem: can`t unlock bootloader.
All necessary files and drivers are installed.
When I try run command "fastboot oem unlock", received this messages:
(bootloader) Verity mode: true
(bootloader) Device unlocked: false
(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: false
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: true
FAILED (remote: Flashing Unlock is not allowed)
Can anybody help make unlock for this smartphone?
hold PWR-ON and VOL+ = Flash mode
hold PWR-ON and VOL- = Android logo with nothing
Fastboot devices command result no device ID. Thus I think that there is no bootloader of FS8010

boot loop

my son did something to his phone. it was unlocked and rooted. now it is locked and in a boot loop. only the first htc screen pops up and reboots from there. i can get into fastboot and bootloader but thats it. if i try recovery i get a pic of a phone and red triangle with exclamation point in it and it sits for a few min then reboots. in download mode i can adb and send fastboot commands, but the computer doesnt see the phone. i have tried the htc rom utility but it doesnt see the phone. also tried butting files on sd card and booting into download mode, it just keeps telling me the phone is locked. please help me out. if you need anymore info let me know and i will supply it. thank
joe
My first guess would be that there is a patched kernel installed (for root) and the bootloader is relocked. That would result in a bootloop like this because a locked bootloader can only boot the original stock kernel. So unlock the bootloader again and it should be fine. And if you want to lock the bootloader again, flash the stock kernel first.
im not able to unlock it. when i do fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin gives me an error and wont unlock. ive tried this command in download and ruu mode and neither worked.

Hmm, what kind of u11 life do you have? Sense or Andorid One Version?
Did you get a new unlocktoken from HTC or tried it with the first one again?
I think you have to flash it in download mode but not 100% sure.
its sense. this is what i get when trying to unlock
sending 'unlocktoken' (0 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.002s]
writing 'unlocktoken'...
(bootloader) flash unlocktoken
(bootloader) [KillSwitch] : /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/frp
(bootloader) [KillSwitch] Last Byte is 0X00, disable unlock
(bootloader) [KillSwitch] oem unlock Turn Off!

Oh thats bad. To solve this you would need to boot into the system and go into developer settings to allow bootloader unlock. But as you are not able to boot into the system, i dont know what to do exactly. I have the android one version and this is very different. Maybe you could try to flash a ruu if there is a ruu somewhere. If someone with sense version could help you that would be much better.
So your facts are:
Sense Version
Bootloader relocked
something changed on kernel or system so system cant boot with locked bootloader
unlocking bootloader not possible because not allowed in developer settings
Yeah thats it. Thanks for braking it down for me.

Black Screen Seconds After Power On, Official Bootloader Unlock Not Possible

Hi,
I'm having a problem with my HTC U11 Life (US Sense version). After powering on the phone, the screen turns black after a few seconds. I have time to enter my code but accessing settings or other apps is impossible. The issue persists when I boot into safe mode, meaning it's an issue with a system app. Strangely, some system dialogue options stay on, such as the Safe Mode text and the power/restart/airplane mode display. I tried to unlock my bootloader using HTC's official method, but I don't have the setting enabled to do so, and I can't access the settings mode. At this point, I'm fine with losing all my current data if I can fix things.
For reference, this is what "fastboot oem get_identifier_token" returns:
Code:
...
(bootloader) [KillSwitch] : /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/frp
(bootloader) [KillSwitch] Last Byte is 0X00, disable unlock
(bootloader) [KillSwitch] oem unlock Turn Off!
OKAY [ 0.043s]
finished. total time: 0.046s
TLDR: Does anyone know a non-official method to unlock the bootloader and flash the stock firmware?

I dont know if there is an up-to date system.img for the us sense version or if you are able to flash it with a locked bootloader but if you could get one, flash it and reset the device using the stock recovery it should work again. I dont think there are official full firmware/software files for the US Sense Version to flash with the stock recovery or a RUU but this would be the best way.
To unlock the bootloader you could also use sunshine s-off, if i remember correct it supports the us sense version of the u11 life but its about 25$ for each device you want to unlock.

XIAOMI MIUI Unlock Re-locked bootloader ?

Hello everyone,
I have a Mi 8 with a global rom unlocked. With fastboot, I re-locked the bootloader and now fastboot says :
"(bootloader) Verity mode: true
(bootloader) Device unlocked: false
(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: false
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false"
So it's done. But now the phone can't restart and in the Mi-Recovery I have a red message saying "This MIUI version can't be installed on this device".
I specify that I can only boot on Mi-Recovery or FASTBOOT mode.
So I tried to re-unlock the bootloader but fastboot says : "FAILED (remote: Token Verify Failed, Reboot the device)".
I tried with the Mi Unlock tool but I get an error : "Please add your account in MIUI's Settings > Developer options > Mi Unlock status."
Now you understand my problem, I can't go to these developer options because my phone doesn't want to start.
Can someone help me ?
Thank you
Update
I need to flash my Mi 8 via EDL mode but I also need an authorized account for that.
Can someone help me?
