My S8+ has a very dim LED. My phone is rooted.....is there anyway to increase the brightness of the LED?
Check in Settings/Display or noticebar pulldown
Sorry I should have been more specific. I meant the blinking LED notification, not the screen.

Hi, im wondering if anyone has succesfully edited files in sys/class/leds to increase the notification led brightness? I have a white d838 and the led is only half as bright as my previous white G2 D802..
Thanks in advance
Try installing LED manager apps like "Light Manager", "Light Flow". They can also set brightness for LED.
Or if these won't work, just wait a few weeks. We already have a proper recovery (CWM), not long 'til we have custom kernels. Those can also set LED brightness.
(By the way my G Pro2 is MUCH brighter than my S3 was. Let alone HTC's dumb tiny micro-led on top.)
So I updated my S7 recently and just today I noticed that the notification light doesn't work when the screen is unlocked, but when it's locked or on the always on display the notification light works no problems. I haven't found anything in the settings other than the display setting where you can turn on or off the notification light but that hasn't really helped.
I have the L29C567B183, and LED Notifications aren't working. I have "Pulse Notification LED" setting enabled, but when I receive a notification the light doesn't blink. Similarly, I tried Light Flow, Light Flow Legacy, and Light Flow Pro, and the LED doesnt do anything with those either. Does anyone have any idea what might be the problem? And does anyone know how to get Light Flow to work with this device?
Thanks!
Where can I find "Pulse Notification LED" in main settings?
Setting then notification and status bar

It's not possible. The phone comes with only white led.
is there an option to set the notification light to flash continuously until notification is read? it only flashes once now and that's not very useful.
