My friend has a Samsung pro Tab 8.4 and did a factory reset and also wiped the cache partition without knowing it would delete some very important files including music, pictures, and videos.
It is not rooted. Is there any way to recover these files? If forensic investigators can do stuff like this Im sure anyone else with the right knowledge and software can too. Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi
You can try Piriform recuva (PC software) - you need a USB Mass Storage mode.
Some people have reported success with DiskDigger.
Also have a look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1994705
Good luck!
Thanks so much!
Hi,
I have accidentally deleted few videos and photo from my Samsung Note-3. I have tried DiskDigger and before trying DiskDigger I have rooted the phone. But unfortunately I didn't get the desired data. It is actually returning me the videos or the picture which are still in my phone memory and i have moved them to some other directory. I have also tried the Wondershare Dr.fone but I am unable to see my desired data there, as I don't have the purchased version so unable to recover.
Does anyone has done similar kind of recovery please let me know and guide.
Thanks & Regards
I have a Galaxy S8+ and accidentally deleted the MP3 files in my Music folder. To make it worse, I didn't back them up on Google or Samsung Cloud. I've tried using several recovery programs, but all end up telling me my phone has to be rooted first. I understand rooting might completely wipe out any hope of recovering the missing files. Does anyone know of a way to recover the deleted files?
Thanks!

More than likely they are gone. If non root apps or programs can't. Rooting will more than likely wipe them gone
I use a Mi 10 Ultra phone. I mistakenly deleted some photo and video files then upgraded my OS. Once I realised this, I immediately checked the phones trash bin, the Mi cloud, Google backup, the phone Backup, used several 3rd party apps from Wondershare Dr Fone to recuva etc to recover these specific files I mistakenly deleted. But I was still unable to recover these exact files.
I really dont think rooting my device or carrying out a factory reset on my device will solve this issue. I haf tried to.see if I coukd downgrade my OS bur discover its not possible on my phone. So I am willing to try proven methods that can ensure I get those deleted files back.
Please advice?
Many thanks in advance.
Sounds like they're gone permanently
You might try a data recovery specialist if the files are significantly valuable , like a Bitcoin wallet or something...
Hello guys,
I tried to use the search function but came up with no relevant answers. So a person close to me has accidentally deleted a whole album from the gallery app on Samsung Galaxy S7. I tried to use several software solutions but the results were not good. Is there a reliable way to recover the whole album or is it gone ?
Phone's Android must be rooted when it comes to recover deleted / wiped user-data.
If rooted then take it to authorized service center and let them try to recover the data in hope they have the forensic tool to do so.
So there isn't a reliable way to do it at home ?
Hi, nice to meet you. If you want to recover deleted photos from internal storage without backup, first stop using your phone in case of data overwritten. Then you need to ask help from pro shop or phone data recovery software like Dr.fone, Coolmuster Lab.Fone for Android, Recuva for Android, etc. Such software needs you to root your phone before using it. About the details, please search online. Just have a try and good luck to you.
