Is there any conversion mods out there that makes the menues (and what not) on our Pixel 2 units into fully black themed colors?
I am asking this just for battery reasons, because we got AMOLED based screen technique and darker colors is better for conserving battery life on this kind of screens.
Anyone?

I use SwiftBlack personally
I use the spectrum theme (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jerbeck24.Spectrum)
Most complete one I know of is Swift Black (or Swift Dark for dark grey instead of pure black). Great Substratum theme updated every 1-2 weeks. There are some issues with notification text on all themes, but Swift makes it tolerable.

Swift black
I tried Swift black and dark themes but couldn't get the notification text to be readable. So I tried AospUI black and dark themes and it's been great! It gets updated every week as well.
Maybe OT but do you use substratum with root or with andromeda? And what are the benefits of either method? Are all themes safe to use or is there anything to pay attention for? Thanks in advance

They have a fix for that now. Alternatively, you can set your wallpaper to be 'dark' in order to force Google's UI to go black, and you'll have no issues at all.

The native dark mode doesn't affect the entire UI the way Substratum does. It leaves notifications and Google apps blindingly white.

Right, the point is that you use the native dark mode in conjunction with SwiftBlack and it results in readable notifications.

Yeah, definitely looking for a wholly dark experience. I've already added a dark theme and navbar but still want all dark notifications (just like wunderground)... and gmail etc...

Yeah since 7.0 the Samsung themes don't support changing the color of the notifications. But it should come later.
There is a stock one made by Samsung, its jet black, To get an instant preview, goto "Accessibility" "Vision" and enable "negative colours"
If you like this look, then do the following, first turn off Negative Colours.
You need to be logged into your Samsung account.
Then goto "Settings" "Wallpapers and Themes"
Then "Themes" (at the bottom) "Search" (at the top) for "High Contrast" download and apply this...
Then its like someone cut your circulation - made your world turn black !!
This makes the system menus black, and so for the phone, contacts, calendar, calculator and notification shade.
feedback your thoughts. After smashing the "thanks" button =)
The one I'm using and think is the cleanest is Material Black in theme store.
This is good.

Just download the apk you want, place it on your sdcard or internal storage. On your phone go to my files>sdcard or internal storage>tap the file and select install. It will say something like are you sure and you will take you to security>unknown sources> push that tab to the right and go on with the installation. When and if you want to uninstall go to menu>settings>apps>look for the apk you installed and then uninstall it.

Rooted method would be recompiling framework-res and push it back in system.
The colors.xml need to be changed.

eNubiX is really nice, thank you!
I think I should try the red one but I am now sick of restarting my phone. I do agree that you should have provided screenshots.
Thanks again for sharing them!
I think I know why no one wanted to put up the screenshots. These APKs will darken your notifications, but does not actually change them. They are still all the black background with hard-to-read dark grey writing and teal accents. I was really hoping for notifications with a black background with white writing and red highlights.
What the APKs did do was change my settings area, but everything does that. I'm attaching the 3 screenshots so everyone can see.
I hope we get a true way to change the background, text and accent color on our notifications some day. It seems so simple it should be part of stock Android.
Figured we could get this going, seeing as only the fingerprint substratum theme is listed here.
What themes are you using with the OP7P successfully?
Also, are there any that change some system UI elements, like center clock for example?
Pitch Black. Works perfectly for me except for Clock and Messages (blacked out but no accent colour seems to load).
I had tried VaLeRie which usually works with OOS but it just seemed to keep restarting the systemui, will wait to see if the dev confirms updated for OP7Pro, more difficult now that G+ got the Thanos snap.
RENOVATE ICE will let you move the clock as well as other modifications.
You all should check out Swift Installer on the Play Store. It's a Substratum theme, but with a lot more options.

The white background is only until you reboot like it tells you to. You also need the system dark theme applied. There's a shortcut in the synergy menu. You also should enable the ace theme option as that seems to be working best so far.

You are obviously doing something wrong. I'm using liv dark everything is working correctly
I also have all compatible themes, i use different overlays from other themes for certain apps that liv dark does not have.
Did you select your Android version and did you apply common framework correctly everything is correctly themed even Netflix, Spotify, YouTube Vanced.
You need read and closely follow these instructions.
Enable Ace Mode, let the download of high contrast BUT DO NOT APPLY THE THEME.
1 Select desired overlays (some overlays have multiple options which you will have to go into substratum lite and.select the extra option)
2 Once all desired overlays are chose press build in synergy.
3 apply default Samsung theme.
4 apply Synergy Ace theme (10min trial)
5 apply synergy theme
6 reboot
