Cant install any app, even apks. Please help. - General Questions and Answers

So i am on an s5 at&t rooted OF3 and decided I wanted to get Xposed. I followed the guide here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/general/xposed-lollipop-t3567152
I then noticed that Snapchat had logged me out and it was because of the Xposed framework. I then went to the Xposed website to uninstall the framework thru flashfire. I used the latest .zip "xposed-uninstaller-20180117-arm.zip". Then it rebooted and said "Android is upgrading, optimizing apps 1 of 200. " When it was done, an error came up that said "Procces system has stopped. " I took off the battery and rebooted and everything booted fine.
This Is Where The Problem Starts
I had uninstalled Snapchat during my noticing I had with Xposed and Snapchat. I tried to install it from the play store and I got 'error -504'. I researched it and did everything in this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733038 and got nothing. Now that I did those suggestions, I tried clearing the app cache, data and uninstalling app updates off of GPlay store, Google services framework, GPlay services and even the package installer. I then tried downloading and installing Snapchat from an apk and got the 'X App not installed'. I then tried a test with flashfire. I uninstalled flashfire and tried installing it from the apk. I then again, got the same error. My only guess is that it's an internal thing that may have gone wrong in the uninstalling process of the Xposed framework. How do I fix this issue?

[Q] Downloaded APK's do not install

Hello,
So, I've recently bumped into this situation I would download an app's apk online but it won't install. I'm on CM 12S YNG1TAS17L. Downloading the apk is perfectly fine, but when I install the app, it just goes to a "app not installed" screen where I can only press on the "done" button. The 2 specific apps are SnapColors, an xposed module, and Mango, a manga app. I have no idea why these apps won't install all of a sudden. I would greatly appreciate any help given. These apps have worked perfectly fine before until an update came, and now, all apks not from the Google Play Store do no install.

What partitions did you restore with the nandroid? Did you fully wipe first?

[HELP] I broke my Google Play Store and can't fix it

Hi XDA,
I noticed on APKMirror that a new version of the Google Play Store was released (5.10.29/30), so I tried to install them, which all went with no problems.
Than I tried to update an app in the Play Store, when after clicking the "Update" button my Google Play Store immediately crashed.
Alright, I removed Google Play Store using Titanium Backup, this might be the biggest mistake of them all (I must have used to "remove updates" from the Settings > Apps menu)
After removing 5.10.29/30 I decided to install 5.9.12 again, because that one was working fine for me.
Installed that, hit the Google Play Store, smacked the Update All button, and boom, crashed again.
At this point I went to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store > Remove all Data
Went to the Store again, update all, crash...
I have also wiped my Download Manager Data
Also I disabled AdAway, since some hosts file might mess with it...
Ok, I have a Xposed Module "PlayPermissionsExposed", disabled that, reboot, try again, still crash...
Tried wiping the data of the Google Play Store again... Nope...
The Play Store gets as far as;
Opening the Play Store
Accepting the App Permissions
Downloading.... CRASH
And, after this crash, I can't even open the Play Store anymore, just gives me a force-close.
I really hope someone can help me to fix this issue, since I really don't feel like reinstalling my device again.
Talking about my device, I am using:
Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505
Rom: Google Play Edition by danvdh
who even needs to google play store when you have apkmirror

just boot into recovery, wipe cache and dalvic, then flash the gapps you used when flashing the rom. dont wipe any data!.
if that doesnt work, try flashing the rom too. worst case you might loose any mods you made to the system, but data will be fine as long as you dont wipe it.

Thank you, my ROM did not came with a flashable gapps package, so I just wiped only the Dalvik cache.
Too bad, that did not solve the issue...
I am re-flashing my rom right now, without wiping anything, hope that solved the issue, will report back later

I encounter this occasionally.
In my case it is caused by 2 things.
1. Corrupted play store
2. Corrupted google login
First, try to clear google play store app data and cache. Restart phone and try again.
If it doesn't solve the problem, try removing your google account. Restart phone and add it back.

Sorry for Late response. In my experience I have to disable Xposed Systemless module in Magisk, then reboot to download alot of Playstore apps. Xposed breaks safteynet on my phone thus blocking installation of certain apps, after app installation re-enable Xposed and everything works as should.

Galaxy S5 DUOS Android 6.0.1 Google Services Framework Stopping

Hello Everyone!
All of a sudden today my trusty old Galaxy S5 DUOS phone started throwing the Google Services Framework has stopped error.
I have tried all guides I've been able to find on this and it says to go in under the App settings and clear all the data, but when I try this it crashes.
I can't get into the Play Store to check for updates either.
Is there a way to fix this? Update framework and store by a TWRP flashable zip or something like that?
Any help that you can offer would be much appreciated!
I could try to backup everything and then flash with Lineage OS or something similar in the way of a more modern OS but I can't say I'm crazy about the idea. It would take a VERY long time to do so the best thing would be if one could "just" fix the problem at hand without needing a full reinstall.
The phone is rooted with SuperSU and has TWRP recovery installed on it.

Did you use root permissions to remove or disable any system apps? If so, you may have disabled/uninstalled a system app that relies on Google Services to work, this would cause the "Services framework has stopped" error. Re-enabling or reinstalling the app or apps would fix the issue.
But....
First, try booting into TWRP then select the "Wipe" option, then select "advanced wipe", then select ONLY the cache partition and the dalvik cache, then swipe the slider to initiate the wipe. When you reboot the device, try seeing if you can use Playstore to update your Google apps, you may have to update more than one of them.
If that doesn't work, you can try downloading the most up to date Gapps.zip for your specific architecture and flash it in TWRP, wipe cache partition and dalvik partition(DO NOT FACTORY RESET IN TWRP) after flashing the Gapps.zip then reboot into system.
If that doesn't work, you may have to flash your stock firmware, this will remove root and TWRP, you'd have to root the device again and install TWRP again. If you flash the firmware, make sure to use the HOME CSC to preserve your user data during the flash.

Thank you very much for the suggestion, but I tried all of it and it did nothing to help the situation. HOWEVER, I started looking at DeGoogling the phone and putting in MicroG instead, and one of the steps in the process was putting in Magisk (instead of SuperSu) ...
When I got to removing the Xposed Framework ... and rebooted the phone, it optimized all the apps on the phone, and then.... booted, no crashing Google Play Framework anymore, I could run Play Store and update my apps - everything....
SO.... Xposed Framework caused the Google Play Framework to crash constantly (all of a sudden)??

Thank you very much for the in-depth and very helpful instructions on how to get the phone working again, however as you can see in the reply further down I managed to get it back to working properly again by... as I understand it -- removing SuperSU and the Xposed Framework.
After I did this and rebooted the phone it started optimizing all the apps of the phone and then ... everything worked as normal again. But I have printed out the instructions/suggestions you gave me for future reference if I happen upon something similar. So once again Thank You very much!

You should be able to have root and Xposed and use the device without issues. There is a way to make it all work together, you just need to figure out exactly why the issue was occurring.
Everything seems to be rock solid right now after uninstalling Xposed Framework (same thing happening on my mom's Samsung Tab S which also had Xposed Framework installed)... I used it mainly to remove the ads on Youtube, and since Youtube Vanced came into existence.... I don't really need Xposed anymore. So all is good
