Hi everyone,
I'm running 6.0.1 and recently performed a hard reset and cleared caches to try and resolve the problem.
Did not resolve. Also disabled power managment for apps. Problem persists.
Whenever a calendar event is skipped (by the device) all future events stop working and I have to reboot to get the alerts back.
Mostly the problem comes when there is one emty day, but it also happened when I got a notification in the morning and in the evening nothing anymore.
Thus I thought it could be powersaving related, but powersaving is disabled.
It's really driving me crazy, my calendar is verry important to me as I tend to forget things.
Anyone knows how to resolve the problem ?
How to debug ?
Your input is verry much appreciated.
Thanks.

Hello,
I'm running on latest infused v1 for several months now and I am having problems with notifications going silent. I resolved the issue once before by wiping everything via cwm red cache options. It worked fine for a week or so. Today it started doing it again and a simple reboot fixed it.
Are there any other tips you guys can provide so that this issue wont happen again?
It sucks missing an important message . Thanks in advance
I've decided to look for an app that soft reboots my phone daily. Hopefully that will prevent my notification alerts going silent. Thanks for looking!
hi all.
the problem i have that i hope to get help with is this, everything was OK until around a month ago when i noticed it wasn't waking up from sleep.
after trying to pinpoint the problem i discovered that it was freezing when asked to wake either by power button or by notification- e-mail texts and the like, but not as far as i know when receiving calls. that seems to be ok so far....
now here is the twist...non of this happens when plugged into the mains/USB power or when its kept from sleep by say my music or radio app.
so guys and gals, does anyone have any ideas that will help either cure this or are there any apps that can run in the background without killing my battery too much
Thanks in advance

That is what we call the Sleep of Death. So far there really isn't a fix for it. For me it was one of the apps I installed that was causing the problem along with the custom rom I had installed too. Here's more information on this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1707521 and I found this to see if it might help http://www.ehow.com/how_12183457_can-stop-sleep-death-android.html
Hello and pretty much as the title says for some reason I cannot dismiss my alarm. If I dismiss it it turns itself back on a few seconds and sometimes minutes later. I first noticed this on Blisspop but I have since clean wiped (including locally stored files) and put CM12 back on but oddly the problem is still occurring.
Has anybody else had this problem?
PS I did have a good google around but cannot seem to find something that related to my problem :\

I'm on Blisspop unofficial that include CAF kernel... And i don't facing that kind of problem...
Are you sure that you are dismiss it, instead of just snooze it?
Hello, definitely dismissing it. I decided to wipe every bit of info\data etc on the phone so that nothing is left, installed CM12 again, without GAPPS so that it cant pull any settings that might be stored on my google account and guess what? Even on a pretty much blank rom I am still getting the same issue :\. Now starting to think it could be hardware but it seems very unlikely.
I have been facing same problem. It comes back after I dismiss an upcoming alarm after turn off the screen and turn it back on, it comes back. Any suggestions?
Same issue on CM12.1 ROM I'm using. I dismiss the upcoming alarm, but most of the time it activates back.
I'm facing a strange issue on my N5. After the update to Marshmallow, the clock is getting slow. I have tried to malually fix the time, set it on automatic and even automatic time zone; but no prevail.
Any advise?
I was facing this issue as well when I was on DP3. It got solved once I flashed to Marshmallow 6.0. You can try flashing again and see if it helps.
Got the same problem.
Only a reboot fixes it temporarily, but the clock gets slow shortly after again.
Doesn't matter if it's set to automatic or manual.
Also tried to format cache, reinstalling the clock app as well as excluding it from doze.
Maybe it's a bad app or widget messing with the system time, but that's probably quite unlikely.
Hope a fix is being found soon!
The clock going slow can cause a number of problems with apps such as Google Authenticator or Authy. Please do update this thread if you find a solution as it'll be useful to know just in case this happens.

I don't know about other user but for me the phone is getting unusable because of this issue. The clock gets really show when the phone is sleeping and this has caused me to miss alarms and appointments.

It looks like I solved my problem by reading about push notifications here:
https://help.moengage.com/hc/en-us/...not-receiving-push-notifications-sent-by-you-
It got me thinking that GCM service in my Nokia 7 plus is not properly connecting with Google’s servers. So I looked around how to hard reset my device using this tutorial:
NOTE: [THIS WILL ERASE ALL YOUR DATA. MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR FILES FIRST]
http://www.techeligible.com/2018/05/27/unlock-pattern-nokia-7-plus/
select Wipe data/factory reset.
After restart configure your phone as a NEW DEVICE. Push notifications seem to work as they should. They are waking the device from sleep mode immediately.
This method will most likely work for all Android devices.

I really like this phone but the push notification problem just kills me.
When phone is in sleep mode push notification don't wake it up.
Just leave the phone on the desk for 15 minutes and send yourself an email from different device.
Same applies to WhatsApp. If someone sends me a message it can take half an hour before phone will show notification.
This is frustrating and apparently there is no fix.
I did even factory reset and the problem persists.
Tweaks like exclude app from battery optimazation don't work.
This clearly Android Oreo fault.
Google is so fixated to save battery that it castrates crucial functionality
+1 to the delayed notifications problem!
As you wake the device up, the Whatsapp icon also keep showing in the taskbar - "Checking for new messages" quite often.
that also happens at intervals while the device is ON & other apps are being run.
I hope this, the fingerprint navigation (left+right), battery SOT, stability will improve with proper update to Andro-P. and SOON!
Same problem here. "Heartbet" apps dont work either.
Same here! Maybe it's push notifications server problem?
pls. make sure that notification apps have permission to work in back ground as it may be restricted for battery saving

[SOLVED] First post.

Gmail and WhatsApp are excluded in battery optimazation. It makes no difference.
Gmail is a Google app. It comes with system but push notifications are not working properly.
There in no other way to set apps to work in background. At least I didn't find such option...
Didn't work for me. Anybody else managed to fix this?

Anyone experiencing delayed push notifications on Android Pie?
Do you have location enabled (saving battery location setting)? Disabling location can cause notification delays.

I never really turn off location services. Is this setting you are talking about the battery optimization for apps? I can turn that off for location services.
I have 1062 with pie sideloaded and i'm not getting any push notifications from apps except for gmail. Factory reset and setting phone as new device didn't help.

1062 (if chinese with custom global rom) its not really possible to install Pie, its not stable in this one, Oreo still best for 1062

I had the exact same issue and it was really frustrating me. Resetting my phone didn’t help as detailed here. But finally after some playing around i fixed mine
In the battery settings i enabled Adaptive battery and then went into background activity manager. I enabled both auto activate and lock screen on all the apps i had problems with receiving notifications. Now i get all app notifications straight away with no delays

I've tested this solution for a couple of days and it seems it's working, thanks.
