Moto X play launched in July 15 and Moto X style, the last year flagship phone of Moto launched in September 15. Both mobile did not supported VOLTE as the time of launching. Now 3 months ago Moto released a OTA update for Moto X Play to change it in VOLTE 4G for reliance JIO Even Moto G3 also got update for VOLTE and their premium Mobile get nothing. There is no VOLTE support /update for flagship Moto X Style.
Why this is happening? I think those people are fool who got Moto X style for 32000 Rs & the one who bought X play are wise PEOPLE at 19000 Rs and got all update timely.
I don't understand this double standard of Lenovo Moto. Either stop selling your all other mobile or declare Moto X play yours Favourate Mobile. Please share this thread as much as you can. All Moto X Style user should support this threat. I request to lenovo Moto please roll out a update for VoLTE support.

I believe you have to install an apk for Google services like most other Chinese phones. Simple stuff. I don't think Google is suppose to be installed in china by law.
Best thing to do is rebrand to a firmware with Google stuff baked in.
I'm using Chinese AL00 6/128 version. Since the start I installed the GSM (actually mine was pre-installed from the shop) and installed all the necessary Google app. I've updated 3 firmware so far, never had issues with Google app afterward.
Hi everyone. I read few post about the EML-AL00 (chinese version). It is right now available for the same price than the international version on Amazon US (L29). But the chinese version comes with 6GB of RAM instead of 4.
I would like to get this phone for my wife but I need to know what will work and what will not.
- T-Mobile 4G
- T-Mobile LTE
- Google Pay
- Android Auto
- Wifi Calling
- VOLTE
- ...
How about updates with that version ?
Basically, as I am not a nerd, I don't want to to rebranded the phone or anything like that, but I do think than 6GB makes a lot of difference in term of fluidity. I know the P20pro could be the the one to go but it's still pricey and the form factor is not the same. THe P20 seems to have a perfect size.
Is your advise is to forget about the Chinese version because it will be a painful experience to use in the US and go with the L29 instead ?

You will have 4G, calling, and all of this, but chinise versions dont have Google Play Services, but you can get Play Store from inthernet, by searching with default browser.
News system will be in Chinise, all of this things will be in Chinise country, nothing for European peoples.

I have the EML-AL00 (Chinese) model and was using it in Australia.
As I'm not in the US, I can't speak for T-Mobile usability. Judging by the network bands it has with T-Mobile, it has bands 2, 4, 5 and 12, but missing bands 66 and 71, so in theory it might work. But I can't guarantee anything here.
However, the device does come with Google Play Services preinstalled, the Google Play Store itself is the only thing missing for some reason. So you just have to install the Play Store apk and you'll be good to go in this regard. The device is Google Play Certified, so Android Auto, Google Pay all work normally. VoLTE was working for me in Australia as well.
Unfortunately, since it's the Chinese version, there are a few restrictions compared to the international variant, such as inability to change the launcher and uninstallable Chinese bloatware . But upside is that it is the first variant to receive software updates; it is currently on stable Android 10 .

Hi everyone!
I have a p40 pro bought in mainland China (ELS-AN00) and I'm facing the problem that the Huawei assistant is only in Chinese. The AIVoice is in Chinese (Xiaoyi) and Huawei today shows up Chinese news.
I tried to install the international version with an apk but it didn't work. Huawei support says that there is no solution for that. But, is it true?
Is there anyway to change the Chinese Huawei assistant to the international one? Or, is installing GSM could provide an alternative solution?
So far from what I've seen, the people stuck with this didn't find a positive solution. However since then, there has been more developments on the p40 pro, so I hope it could have a solution...

Unrooted Moto G Stylus 2020 North American variant. Considering buying this phone.
I currently have the Moto G7 Power 2019. Came with Android 9. After the Android 10 update Facebook was installed with it. There was then no way to uninstall or disable Facebook. The only reason I rooted the G7 Power was to get rid of Facebook.
So my question is on an unrooted Moto G Stylus 2020 North American variant can Facebook be permanently uninstalled or permanently disabled?

You can try using adb, if that doesn't work then you'll probably need root
