Yes, once you odin cf auto root, you need to odin your stock recovery to overwrite the 920F recovery

Ok this is not necessary if you dont want to root? Can i just flash the firmware and be done with it because in a few days pingpong root should come for marshmallow

the hands free activation the only way i find to fix that is using Debloater and how do you apply the root can you help me?
I want to reflash my phone back to like it was when it came out of the box, but not loose the rooted status or the sim unlock.
I am currently using it with MetroPCS.
I flashed a rom to it but it doesnt have private mode and I am getting a few errors.
Can someone please help me??

Might help to give pertinent information like...what rom you flashed already? What version your phone is currently running. Etc. You know...things needed to help you.

best thing to do then is to flash this https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/61697/G900PVPU3BOK4_G900PSPT3BOK4_SPR
then TWRP 3.0.2. after flashing twrp boot into recovery and select reboot and itll ask you to swipe right to enable root. Do that and youre stock and rooted with official firmware

messed what up? and in the MOAR threads, there is a specific order in which you have to flash the ROM zips. I ran that ROM for over a year. What issue are you running into?

It causes the private mode not to work and gives me the sae error.

root it and get twrp make a backup of the stock flash a custom rom( I recommend slim 6 )
download gapps
btw this will most likely trip knox
Trimming the storage could help, but check your emmc first if it has the brickbug. If the bug is present, don't try to trim it as it will break your tab. Trim requires root on your rom because android supports trim natively on 4.3+ and our rom is on 4.1.2

You could unroot the tab afterwards... Also you dont have to install a new rom just for roof access

TWRP shouldn't affect your device's performance. Maybe Placebo...
And if you're up for the task, by all means install a custom rom. It contains the latest optimizations and security patches for android so it should be faster than the stock rom. Although there are some bugs on 6.0, they're minor http://andi34.github.io/known_bugs_tab2_6.0.html

You can also go to the unified section (Things/ROMs that work with 7' and 10' devices and all its variants)

I installed cwm recovery.
If i try to instal cm it says error.
It says too on slim LineageOS roms.
Omni rom work. Its fast. But if started give clock and browser stopped errors.
I dont know what i most be do..

TWRP backup is the best way, because you took one before going on custom... Right? However if not, you'll have to take in consideration to reflash your original firmware after grabbing it from sites like hwmt.ru/hwmtsite

If you know how to use adb i can help you, the better way out there is using adb and off course you will need the stock ROM either B360 or 361.

dload doesn’t work until you have stock recovery, and whereas he said he was rooted and used unofficial rom so definitely there is a custom recovery. And custom recovery has no option for dload

Nope bro.
You don't need stock recovery. I have tested more than 10 times on twrp. Dload will work fine. Latest test was last night 14 hrs back
Well good luck than, because thought stock recovery is the domestic program to Handel dload on the phone.

the only issue is after installing this you got stock recovery
so 1st after rolling back insert details and boot

Thank you for posting this so quickly! I got the notification this morning, and would prefer to not have to go about this the long way by flashing the previous firmware I could find and then do the OTAs, then re-root. Some folks say they go pretty quickly, but I've never had them take less than an hour to fully apply.

How easy do you want it? The flash-all file does it all for you. lol
Download stock build, unzip contents where your platform-tools are, boot to bootloader mode, run flash-all.

There isn't a location unless you or someone wants to capture it the URL link via logcat during live download and then upload it which no has been doing. They just wait for full build (no timetable).

Ota updates only go from RETEU to RETEU. But if you have a full firmware installed all work. You just have to make sure that the OTA updates, then come from the version you have installed, because it is still in the settings RETEU.
