1.) What to do if My Phone got bootloop or not booting ??
You have changed vendor, or modified vendor(not stock), OpenKirin vendor will never ever work,, so get Pure stock vendor of your device... it will work for sure... if still not, change you data filesystem...
2.) What to do if my SIMs are not working ??
Go to Extras, disable dual sim, reboot phone,, now read carefully,,
1. Install hex editor app from playstore
2. Make sure you have file explorer with root privileges
3. Open hex editor and find modem,id file on this location root/sys/firmware/devicetree/base/hisi,modem_id and open it.
4. Write down all numbers in first row
5. Then go to root/system/vendor and find phone.prop and open it with text editor.
6. Find your modem id by using search and type 0x3xxxxxx where X is your number from hex reader
7. Then make it look like this:
3.) What to do if my SafetyNet is not passed ??
Update Magisk to latest beta version, tick Magisk Hide and enable usb debugging...

Hello, I followed all of your instructions to install the rom, and it hung on the carbon logo screen. When I attempted to reboot back to TWRP, for some reason the data was encrypted. I have no idea what went wrong in the process, do you know if I perhaps made a mistake in the installation process? I have Elite TWRP and at this point, I just want to restore the backup that I made with TWRP and return to stock.

become a modular ROM which keeps as high as potentially possible operating
performance on your mobile device while still maintaining a sufficient feature
base of nice, small and minimal features that would not be available via any
external feature base, extension, mod or plugin.

Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from the
Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and Code Aurora Forum (CAF),
with extremely minor set of components from LineageOS (LaOS or LN) which
have been added to source in order to allow for better cross-device compatibility.

contributors for the sources used in the development of the base ROM which we
started with inclusive of all the work and dedication their team puts in order to
keep us updated on the awesome contributions that they make.

with regular ROM updates hopefully coming from time to time.

Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,
we advise you to follow the following steps if you are coming from another ROM:

* Please take a full [I]Nandroid[/I] backup!
* Please copy your back up to an external device.
* Back up your [I]Internal Storage[/I]
* When completed, [I]clean flash[/I] the build (format using fastboot --wipe-and-use-fbe)
Although you usually may dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other
ROM is built upon the same Android version, it is not guaranteed.
In case of performance issues or crashes please do a clean flash.
You can dirty flash halogenOS 8 over halogenOS 7, however, don't bother us with issues then.
Overall as a ROM, XOS is very stable. Our mission statement has always been of maintaining a clean and properly maintained ROM.

Installing for the first time

* Download the current version of XOS for your device.
* Reboot into a compatible Android Recovery solution. (e. g. TWRP)
* Wipe [B]'/system' & '/cache'[/B], and of course wipe /data[/B].

* Select the appropriate ROM zip and flash the current ROM build.
* Want Google Apps? Obtain and flash the latest GApps from http://opengapps.org/
* Flash any other system modifications you may want

Manually updating the ROM
XOS ships with an OTA updater built-in (soon) which should automate the downloading and flashing process,
however should your wish be to manually update the ROM, you should be our guest.

Try some other Rom such as xenon HD and try flashing Aosip again..Think you forgot to remove fingerprint in your previous Roms that you used.

You should flash this ROM over a EMUI where the capacitive keys are already working !
This ROM do not affect the capacitive keys in any way ( didn't enable them and also didn't break them if previously they working )
Previously I was on Chinese Oreo FW B321, where the capacitive keys are already working well

I confirm, use chinese B321 update, not the crappy european B360a.
I'll give a try today with this ROM, thanks surdu_petru!

Installed successfully, this ROM is fast. Could you give instructions on how to install TWRP to then install Magisk? Did you test it?

Magisk installed, now I'll be able to restore my apps with Titanium.

But you can try to flash the TWRP made by @OldDroid from here , then check this post.

You can try but I don't think that it'll working because data from Oreo 8.0 it's not compatible with data from Oreo 8.1 ... and for this you need to perform a data/factory reset !

So far everything is working well. I just noticed that Google Duo keeps crashing, but I can't find the app in the Play Store, I think it's been replaced by Google Allo since Oreo.

Read the first post. To get root you have to flash TWRP then flash Magisk.
BTW that ROM boots damn fast!

One issue: at random time the speaker starts to emit a sound, like some FM noise. If I use the volume switch it shows multimedia volume so it knows that a sound is emitted but the volume cannot be set. Only way to stop the noise: restart the phone.

can i flash this on a RROS 7.1??

First of all I really wanna thank you so much for this great Rom and all your effort you put into it!
Overall everything is working fine for me but the minor issues of the AOSP Rom (8.0) are remaining on this Rom:
- Homescreen laggs
- Slow homebutton
- Bit slow screen on time when unlocking
While the last issue is really minor and it doesn't bother me, the other two can be kinda annoying. Both of them didn't occur on RROS 5.8.5 - well, homebutton didn't work at all there but to be honest I would even be happier with a disabled homebutton compared to this slow gesture thing. As of now I can't disable the homebutton in RROS settings and I'm not sure if the next problem is part of that issue but why does this Rom go back to homescreen when double tapping Back when double tap is disabled? I feel like the Honor 9's homebutton is quite hard to support?
And referring to everyone's questions: No, you have to use Stock Recovery and you have to flash this on top of an Oreo Rom (either EMUI 8.0 or AOSP 8.0).
Another problem which doesn't directly have to do with the Rom: I seem not to be able to get TWRP working here. If I boot to it it gets stuck on the TWRP screen. Anyone found a solution there?

I was able to get TWRP working now and succesfully flashed Magisk.

If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you, Team Resurrection Remix and me quite some time.
Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.

Can't disable hardware buttons , if u using nav bar every time u press on it it will light up . In backlight option even tho u set to 1 sec it will always restart to 5 sec.

I have japanese note 3 SC-01F (HLTEDCM) i was wondering if this rom support this model.

I've installed today this ROM. nice rom. Sounds are crashing if you update from Play Store. I installed EDXposed added a module (not supported module, I found later ) and I got a bootloop.
I've reinstalled again the rom. reinstalled some of my applications, installed Twilight, restored data for Twilight using titanium backup, I've rebooted and I got a boot loop again ;(...

I've reinstalled the rom and installed normal applications from Play Store. and I've rebooted and it worked but if I install Twilight it gives me boot loop. I shouldn't install Twilight!?

May I ask why do you need latest Android as Nougat is still receiving latest security patches?
It depends from person to person. I am using it as a backup device. I don't want latest android, just wanted latest security patch so that in case my daily driver fails, I still have this.

in v 3.4.0.0 after wiping your phone u have to reboot the phone again to the recovery than install the rom or you will get this error

i reinstall the rom but i guess now i couldn't find the Developer Options but i google it than i fond that i have to click 7 times on the build number for it to appear than i fond the option

Today I flashed the version from 19.11 dirty over the version from 06.11 and it worked. First booted into recovery then cache and dalvik cache deleted then rebooted into recovery and then flashed .... works...

is it just me or .. any apps that have videos in it cant show let say like youtube app or the browsers like firefox or any app with videos the videos cant show or work
and i tried everything give permissions . nothing work

I have the same issue with video ... I also couldn't figure out why Sorry to here I'm not the only one with this issue. If somebody has an idea how to solve it, i would appreciate it.

A friend who installed it mentioned that this ROM has several bugs. Sensors aren't working. No GPS, No Proximity, No light sensors. The only working sensor is acceleration. As others have reported, videos don't play in apps like youtube. Works only on chrome. Quite a buggy ROM even for a backup phone. Hopefully the dev looks into it in the next release (if any).

Now I have the video working. I did a clean flash instead of a dirty one and restored some apps from backup (oandbackup/titanium backup).
GPS works for me fine with the old and the new security patches.
Thanks for sharing the ROM with use M4Master96 and that you put the work into it just for a backup phone.
