NRD90M.G935VVRS4BRA1 Firmware Update - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Guides, News, & Dis

I see that VZW has released update NRD90M.G935VVRS4BRA1 for the GS 7 Edge. Can anyone confirm that it can be rooted using the same method that has worked for the previous Nougat releases?
Thanks.

Yes, the method in jrkruse's Root Method for Nougat worked fine for me. Cheers!

5.1.1 is out

just got the update to 5.1.1, came factory installed 0F1 so i could never root, will the methods already out for 5.1.1 root work for the verizon variants?
Already a thread about this. Thank you though.
To actually answer your question...unfortunately there's not a way to root our 5.1.1 update yet. Hopefully soon!

US GS7-s have locked bootloaders, which means we're unable to downgrade until bootloader keys are leaked or T-Mobile unlocks it for us, which probably will never happen.

I just downloaded the 6.0.1 image for g930T and flash it with ODIN and that's it, I'm on 6.0.1 again :d
Ya I have downgraded from 7.0 to 6.0.1 several times already with no problems. My issue is that Nougat rooted is very laggy so I been trying all sort of fixes like govtuner etc but it is still laggy
anyway, here is attached screenshot of how I downgrade quickly and easily on sm-g930t

CF-Auto-Root for Galaxy S8 Plus running Android 8.0 Oreo

Is there any CF-Auto-Root package for Galaxy S8+ running Android 8.0 Oreo?
Any link to download? and tutorial/guide to install?
I have rooted my S8 Plus Exynos running Oreo CRAP and again CRB7 after update through magisk http://galaxys8root.com/galaxy-s8-root/how-to-root-galaxy-s8-or-s8-plus-on-android-8-0-oreo/
worked like a charm on both softwares!

Yup i rooted on S8+ it works for both. Anyway follow the step by step video on top of the page. It's way easier to do so. Remember you'll lose all data so make a backup beforehand and read everything clearly in the link. The video is a huge help.

No CF-Auto-Root for US Snapdragon S8/S8+, unfortunately. No SamFail root either for official Oreo on them; for Oreo, as far as I see, there is no combo/factory firmware yet (as of 02APR2018)--only carrier-specific Oreo firmware. I believe that means that SamFail root is not possible for official Oreo S8/S8+ US Snapdragon firmware. As such, I stick to Nougat until (if ever) there is a relevant Oreo factory firmware.

Yes it is but you have to make sure that you stay on BL3. You can't downgrade the BL. He used a thread with the latest Nougat Odin files.

Once back on Nougat, download BK package disabler and freeze both software updates (just use the search feature and type in updates) so that it don't auto update on you.

You have version 1, version 2 and version 3. If your on oreo then you are on version 3. Search which firmware version 3 runs on and you'll get your answer, or you can use the link i gave you to the last Nougat version 3 that was pushed out by AT&T. I think there were only 2 firmwares on Nougat that ran on version 3.

Yes it's super easy. Using Odin, you can use one of the threads below. BRA8 is a hair older (1 month). BRB2 will have the latest security patch

I've never seen a BRA9 for the AT&T Note 8, upgrade or Odin. We went from BRA8 to BRB2

New user, got a few questions

Just moved to this phone on Sprint from the Galaxy S6, this device is fully updated and I was wanting to root it. Is there a root available for Oreo for the Sprint variant? And what are some of the better Oreo ROMs? Thank you!
Check your bootloader version. If it's under 4 which I haven't seen yet, you can root but it won't be oreo. Check out PartyCyborg rom. Works up to bootloader v3 but you'll end up flashing to Nougat and can only charge to 80%
