Extending period between Screen Unlocks - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I hope to find a solution to a minor problem.
On my Galaxy S6, when I select security for my phone and choose "PIN Lock" for example, I find that the interval between required screen unlock to be very short.
For instance, I can unlock my screen and then set for the phone down for a few seconds and I need to unlock the phone again.
I would like to be able to set a defined time that will keep my screen unlocked. For instance, if I selected 5 minutes, my screen would remain unlocked for 5 minutes, even if the screen was otherwise turned off.
I recognize that this does weaken security, but I find the frequent need to unlock the screen, even after a few seconds of inactivity, to be burdensome.
Any suggestions?

[Q] WM 6.5 Lock password issue

Hi,
I got new Samsung Omnia Pro4 (B7350)
WM 6.5.3
And my problem is that if you have password lock (even though you set at after certain hours), AND lock screen when device is woken up turn on, EACH time you press the lock button and slide button, you will be prompt for a password. VERY VERY annoying. If I remember in previous OS, you can unlock screen without password even though it is set after certain hours.
I use this password lock whit my BT watch, so if my phone is too far from the watch (lost or stolen) it would lock itsef.
But now it's allready locked when I press the screen off button off and on.
It's very annoying to tap password every time, cause the prompt time does not work.
(The watch program work only if the lock is enabled, and I have set the prompt time 2hours)
I just would like to "time to unused" work.
Any help or ideas?
elo,
have you managed to fix this problem?
It's very annoying :/ Previously I unlocked my phone only at simcard change and reboot.

Swipe screen with no lock?

Hi,
My work requires me to have a password on my phone, and has set the maximum auto-lock time to 29 minutes. If I turn the screen off with the power button and then turn it back on less than 29 minutes later, the phone goes right to my home screen. If I turn it back on greater than 29 minutes later, the phone goes to the swipe/unlock screen.
I like the swipe screen - it prevents me from accidentally opening apps when I reach into my pocket to take out my phone. But obviously I don't want to have to enter a password every time I turn the screen on.
So - is there a way to tell it to activate the swipe screen every time I turn the screen on, but only require the unlock password if it has been > 29 minutes since the last time I turned it on?
Thanks

Settings>Lock screen and security>Secure Lock Settings. There you can turn off "Lock automatically with power button" and you can also change the amount of time under "Lock Automatically". That may take you directly to the home screen though...havent tried it. If you set up a finger print its super easy to unlock, though.
Anyway to make smart lock work for you?

Maybe I didn't explain myself correctly. I don't want it to Lock because I don't want to have to input a password every time. I also don't want to change the amount of time because I don't want to increase the frequency of times that I need to enter the password.
All I want is for the swipe screen to appear every time I turn the screen on. I want the lock screen to appear only when the phone has been off for 29 minutes. My work does not allow us to use the fingerprint unlock.. it has to be an 8 character password.

Yes, smart lock is enabled and works well. But with smart lock, the swipe screen only appears after 29 minutes; I just don't need to enter the password. I want the swipe screen to appear even if the screen has only been off for 30 seconds.

Phone bypasses lock screen on Swipe setting

Hey,
I've been using Swipe for my lock screen setting for the past 5 years - since I've had an s3. Just recently, within the past week or so, my phone isn't showing me my lock screen. I use my lock button or my phone goes to sleep for several minutes and when I wake up my phone, it's already unlocked.
To my knowledge, no settings have been changed and after googling I still can't figure out a reason why. I don't have location, bluetooth, smartstay, always on, none of that on.
Any help would be appreciated!

Screen unlocks after call

I'm used to answering calls with phone in my pocket and using headphones.
This worked well on my m8, but after upgrade to u11, when call finishes, screen remains on and no lock.
This means that I have to take it out of pocket and lock it.
Is there a way to prevent that?
Maybe in your settings you have define a lock timeout for that?
Mine when call ends shows the PIN Unlock screen. If it's in my pocket it just lock again, I've set 1 minute to it self lock.

Delay before requiring PIN after turning screen off?

I have my screen timeout set to 2 mins, but if I turn the screen off manually and then immediately back on (Say because I receive a message), even if it has only been a few seconds it still asks for my PIN, is there a way to delay this too?
My S9 used to allow a delay set for logging back in and would just turn straight back onto the homescreen, gets a bit tedious having to log in every single time and I don't want biometrics set (Not that fingerprint seemed to be very reliable anyway, and face unlock is too easy to fool)
Cheers
