As far as update to Lollipop is concerned, please review Android 5.0 Lollipop for Xperia M2
You can flash custom Roms that support Lollipop if you are comfortable.
Can You fix that then i Can root on Sony xperia z2 kikat 4.4.4 uppgrade towelroot from v3 to v4 for Sony kikat 4.4.4

I tried Kingroot - Although the root is successful but I lose it after a restart. I have unlocked the bootloader.
