So i need Touch Screen Digitizer or the full LCD assembly?

does someone knows the deference in broken lcd or non working digitizer, i have a htc universal (qtek 9000) and i am not sure if my screen is broken or the digitizer not work thanks.
the lcd only show images
the digitizer only reciever input from finger or pen
if your device don't respond to input it could be your digitizer
which is dead but if it shows stuff on your screen the lcd is ok
I have had the same question last week, my htc touch became unresponsive to touch, this means its the digitizer. The LCD is the actual screen, you only need this if cracked, pixel damage etc.

Any opinions on whether this is digitiser fluid leaking between digitiser glass & lcd glass or lcd fluid.
I'm thinking lcd fluid, touch sensitivity is normal & the 2 patches do not move when screen is pressed hard in those areas.
i felt my smartphone on the floor,the glass cracked from side to side and the touch screen works only on the side above the crack,the display has no damage,please some advices!what could be wrong?touch screen senzor?only change the glass?

If the connection between the two sides is damaged, then the touch couldn't work. Maybe you can solve the problem replacing the screen of the device, if the hw is intact..
Please guys how i can check the Digitizer ( touch) if its fine due to the LCD screen is cracked
i wanna know that i should change only the LCD or change the both ( LCD + Digitizer ).
