Miui 8 development thread!

Starting development : Between November and December.
When it will be released? : Q3 2018
This thread will be used only to report all the issues and success that i encounter in porting Miui 8 for our device.
Spamming the thread = comments removed
Spamming about release of Miui 8 or to do this and that = Cancelled.
All i need is people who know about coding, patience and support.
When the rom will be done, and if you want to share to other communities, please share only the post. Mirrors will result in rom being restricted (aka mirror link removed)

Quick note : The rom will be build from scratch. That's why it will take a long time .

I get no support.
Then miui port is gone.

I would like some people who knows how to code kernel stuff so we can boost the release date of the rom

Miui 8 has been cancelled due to :
1. The coding kernel is very hard to be done.
2.Lack of interest and support from the community.
Leaving s2 plus community. Sorry fellas.

Now As You Know Xiaomi Released Kernal Source Code For MI A1 .
As I know Many Peoples are interested to Install MIUI 9 On MI A1 .
I AM Trying To Port ROM Now . If Anyone Is Pro Here In ROM Port Than Please Help me to do it because I am not experienced .

Why people's are interested to Install MIUI 9 Instead Of Stock Android ?
Many People's Deal with Stock Android For Dual Flagship Camera . Also They can't afford MI 5X With Custom Charges.
Ported ROM Will Available Soon , Stay Tuned .
( interested People Can Take Part In Testing !
Testing Will be Safe As possible as we can .....

Both is welcomed , Testers specially needed , but rom porting helper can help me to port rom more better & faster . Thanks

My dream is to get a full functional miui and convert the stupid phone to a smart phone. Re partition the a/b joke and have ota updates from 5x .... This has to be the project.

I can help you with porting the ROM. I'm not sure I'll install it on my device immediately but I definitely can help with porting. DM me for information where you can contact me.

I definitely can help with testing and i will send you daily report for bugs if needed.

Dream on... you can't really repartition the A/B partitions and will never be able to get updates from the 5X since your rom will not be official... regarding the stupid phone comment.. huh? how is miui smart exactly? because of the junk preloaded apps and spyware xiaomi loads unto miui?

Yeah,someone has done it .(A developer frome China )but it had some bugs.so looking forward to getting officials .And your link seems to be unavailable.

I mean, I appreciate the effort but if you are planning on releasing an "alpha" build of a ROM that's based on Android 8.1, nearly a month after the release of Android 9.0, you're not going to have very many people using your ROM...

Yes you are right but the problem is that it is a Lineage os based rom, so before starting with 9.0 I need to wait Lineage os 16 that it isn t developed yet.
When Lineage os 16 source code will be public I ll stop 8.1 developement
