Hey I am using Samsung J7 prime and recently i upgraded to Nougat through OTA Update. But after updating my phone to Nougat I am facing certain issues and major issue is regarding Battery Drainage.
So i want to downgrade the firmware to Marshmallow using ODIN Flash tool by downloading Firmware from Samsung-Firmware.org
But i have certain doubts that if i downgrade my firmware can i again revert back to original Firmware through OTA update.
If yes then please tell the exact method to revert back to original OS after downgrading through Odin flash tool.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Team,
Last week when trying to update to 5.1.1 through ODIN , i faced a hectic soft brick issue . I am on Galaxy S6 Edge (SM-G925)
Described here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...nual-update-stuck-g925f-t3173112#post62207108
The boot loop/ no recovery situation was resolved by flashing TWRP and a Custom ROM. The phone has been working flawless after that.
Now i am kinda guy who is more into stock ROM / OS etc. I wanted to ask if i can now flash 5.1.1 Stock BTU firmware from ODIN ? will i face the same issue ?
Yes, you can safely flash stock 5.1.1 ROM via odin.
So recently, i decided to try and update my rooted custom rom galaxy s5. But i don't want to update to 6.0.1 because rooting won't work for my device model and so i would only like to update to 5.1.1. I cant update it through the phone settings because my firmware/rom was modified. I don't want to flash any stock firmware/rom on my device either because then, i wouldn't be able to update my device through the settings in the future. So what would you guys recommended i do?
Correct me if i am wrong. But if i update my firmware through kies right now, it will use the latest 6.0.1 firmware instead of 5.1.1.
Hey guys since I upgraded my J700F to the latest version with october security patch
I dont seem to be able ti downgrade my phone to 5.1.1
I tried some ways including deleting 2 files from 5.1.1 rom and fkash but no luck
Everytime i get this error in downloading mode:
sw rev check fail device 1 binary 0
Please someone give me a step by step guide to downgrade to 5.1.1
Thanks
Flash using odin
I guess you will have to do it using odin. Search these forums for the guide. I saw it around here. Use search man. Thanks.
Download the firmware of 5.1.1 of j700f from sam mobiles website and flash it with odin
please i need some help too can't downgrade it from mm to lp.. i read on some tread that the new mm bootloader did that
When boost mobile and sprint and virgin mobile updated their j7s from f3 to ph4 they did the samething but on 6.0.1. What they did was stop the flashing of the older rom which did not have the Asks software security. When you flash a older android version such as 5.0 over a new android version such as 6.0 the flash is declined. You cant downgrade cause the bootloader prevents it thats why theres a error message in odin.. not really sure why youd want 5.0 over 6.0.
Hey Guys
i was running on Nougat latest may security patch on my device but I wanted to Downgrade to Marshmallow
Here is my phone model number
Model S6-g920F
I downloaded firmware from latest marshmallow firmware from Sammobile and tried to flash through Odin
After successfully completing the flash the phone is on bootloop.
Can anyone tell me how to downgrade without causing a bootloop
After I upgraded my J7 SM-J710MN to the Nougat android, the touch no longer works. I'm from Brazil and tried to flash through odin 4 rom stock 6.0 versions and FAIL always appears. Only the Nougat version I was able to flash but it did not work.
Which firmware version should I install? What to do?
The latest mm from august doesn't work?
Tried flashing the nougat TTT?

Click to collapse
That problem you have in your mobile is because you have installed Nougat 7 with the binary 4, you can not return to MM, here I leave the Original firmware TTT (Trinidad and Tobago) operator-free, before installing the firmware performs complete wipes, thus avoid Bugs in the New firmware.
